I just wanted to add, this is now not the topic but, wanted to add one idea I had and that is, Blizzard could add the twitch.tv like streams but give casters/players money for people watching other people play, they would get in-game advertising which goes to support the players. And even Blizzard could get stream dollars AND the players get dollars too. Cuts out the middleman but oh well. | ||

the events in the launcher, only come up hours before the event, but then stay on the main page for months. this leads people to ignore the events in the launcher / front page. if its been the same for a month, why would you notice when 1 event changes? this doesnt bring new people in to esports. what this comes down to is blizzard wont hire literally 1 guy to change these things in real time. they wont hire 1 guy whos job it is to update the event calender (they could probably just parse this from TL ;/) they wont hire 1 guy to promote streams in real time. what it feels like is because blizzard receives 0 monthly income from starcraft itself, even though they have a lot of money available, they refuse to budget a loss. the savior to tempting blizzard in to reaching out the community is for them to make money from it, what does this mean? it means hats. we need to convince blizzard to sell in game hats, go f2p, and then use some of the profit to fund the community, a la riot. | ||
