Intentionally exaggerated insults designed to get your post attention and bait out an argument....well I guess you succeeded .
Cool, assume my motives are bad when you have no information on who I am. Real winner of a post.
Again, I just think JP is a bad host and personality and I want Artosis to guest on another show rather than SotG rebooting. I don't mean to keep piling on but you're unfairly accusing me so it's entirely your fault if I have to re-state it.
I think its really cute of you to get mad when someone oversimplifies you based on little information, yet you did the exact same thing to JP.

He clearly does OK with out sotg, he said in his last blog on his channel that its coming back, why can't you just wait? give the guy some time.

No. There's a difference between stating my opinion on the value of someone and committing an obvious logical fallacy.
He did not "oversimplify" me, he assumed something about what I said that was unfounded and untrue.

Wow, this post makes me fucking sick.
While JP does deserve a spot on State of the Game, I actually do feel like JP needs to revise the way he acts and does some stuff. I feel like he's always addressing criticism (which is bad idea to start with), and when he does address it he takes on this hyper defensive "it's the communities' fault" attitude. I like JP ALOT and I believe he's done spectacular things for SC2, but the way he references and talks about the community (the people who support him) doesn't really sit right with me...

And how would you rate the assumption that jp is "not good for anything but being organized" on the truth scale? That exaggeration diminishes the legitimacy of your supposedly reasonable "statement of opinion". So you really shouldn't be surprised when someone accuses you of seeking attention, especially when you know that jp reads this thread. It's just the type of unconstructive "feedback" that has been established time and time again to discourage public figures in this scene. If you had any interest in a discussion rather than a one-off insult, you wouldn't have said that. So yes, your true motives were revealed .

I read this thread and three people took a shit on me for posting my opinion, so what gives? Not trying to give JP any feedback, he probably already has more than he cares to have anyways. I'm encouraging someone else to pick up the slack so we can move on with things instead of having a campfire in this sorry thread.
And I also stated that I fully liked and supported incontrol, Wheat and Artosis so don't give me crap about discouraging public figures just because I don't really like JP as a host.
Anyway, to answer your question, "not good for anything but being organized" doesn't rank on the truth scale because it is my OPINION. That's all it is, no ulterior motives, no games.

Yet you didn't make that clear in your original post. " it's not like JP was good for anything but being mildly organized" is not an opinion, that's being presented as fact.
Hmm I miss this show quite a bit. The last few months of its run were kind of broken up, with main pillars leaving and coming back unexpectedly or spontaneously, and the show airing far from consistently.
I understand that when someone's pastime or job incorporates as much feedback and direct criticism as JP's when he undertakes hosting this show, it can be difficult to break away cleanly without upsetting a lot of people; that's just the nature of the beast. He has my full support for whatever he chooses to do.
The only beef I can say that I have with this hiatus is that during the last few weeks/months of this show there were all these super hyped up announcements made by JP on the show, about how the show would be on at "110%" and how there would be a lot more consistency to the airing, etc. and in retrospect, all the PAX excitement and the announcements accumulated into me sitting here now feeling like I was BS'd. I can only imagine the complexities that go into planning a show like this in far advance, but if the nature of it is so wavering and unpredictable, maybe those announcements should not have been made. It's unfair and childish to be all butt-hurt though, because we probably don't have all the facts, which is why I don't make a big deal of it.
I'll get over it. Since I don't expect this show to be up consistently for a while, if at all, I do hope that JP finds something new, which may or may not make as many heads turn with interest as SotG did, but keeps him enjoying his career to the fullest.
I thought the whole "And thursday... (oh shit can't mention SotG) Friday-" bit was kinda hilarious.
Seriously though, this whole hiatus for increased professionality is getting a bit rediculous, especially when people did not ask for any more professionality, just consistent shows, which is something ItG also get's when they miss a broadcast, I'm sure DJWheat reads those too, but he's not going to say he's changing the whole format and then not do anything with it for 6 months because some fans got pissed you didn't do a show last week.
We can only blame our community for putting a halt to this show. All the name calling and witch hunting cost us a great show. I mean, who would want to be in this show when they cant even be themselves without uptight nerds overreacting and sending dumb letters to their sponsors.
