Not going to happen the community found something to be upset at and are going to stay upset about it for another day or so until something else happens. That's how it always seems to happen.

Avilo was making nonsensical comments and interrupting Idra. Jeff was making fun of people. Idra lost his cool. It only lasted 5 minutes or so. You guys make it sound like there was a turf war. Is there some deeper meaning behind what happened that I'm missing? It was pretty anti climatic when I watched the episode after all the hype. Personally, QXC's reference to mass BC's in TvZ lategame was the most interesting part. EDIT: grammatical errors

Could say the same about Avilo as well.. Honestly it didn't start out that bad at first, but voices raised really fast. It wasn't just Idra yelling the whole time since Avilo didn't exactly keep his cool either. That's kind of an understatement. Avilo lost control entirely. He was pushed into an uncomfortable situation and handled it how most socially awkward people do, freak out and start shouting things. I think it needs to be said that he pushed himself into that situation. It's not like he was an unwilling participant; he'd been agitating to be on SotG since the previous show.

They got it and won't back down until every scrap of the drama has been consumed.

But I agree with your earlier comment, it was more or less Avilo interrupting/trying to correct Idra, and when he finally had enough he told him to stfu, which kind of makes sense because it was more arguing than discussing it seemed. @Inquisitor1323, You were right, the voices actually didn't raise all that much, surprisingly (just rewatched part of it).

In addition, Idra was the one who told him to STFU and called him "Fucking terrible." As he stated, Avilo didn't use personal attacks, whereas Idra did. My point was that Idra really needs to grow up. Again in fairness, avilo was awfully passive-aggressive. He may not have said "you're fucking terrible" but he wasn't polite at all. He started by trying to change the subject to his beef with Geoff, then did the whole "I refuse to sink to your terrible, pathetic level" bit.

But as for Idra, at one point I thought the bm and balance complaints were tongue-in-cheek and he'd be a swell guy offline. The last show indicates it's not all an act. I consider myself an Idra fan - which is why I hope he takes this opportunity to become a bigger man than he currently is.

Despite Avilo being a bit obnoxious I doubt he'd done anything to injure the hosts beyond some heated words. You can argue eye-for-an-eye all you want, but I think a lot of us expected the "pillars" of the community to display more grace and maturity and were shocked to see a display of playground bullying. This was supposed to be sound discussion of the game from authoritative sources not daytime television. JP and Geoff I think got carried away and lost discretion - that's forgivable. I started reading the drama in this thread before I actually listened to the episode, so when I started listening to it I was expecting some sort of really heated argument that got way out of hand. But nope, turned out to be very brief and not a big deal at all lol. Just stop criticizing the hosts, you have nothing new or interesting to say about this. The "punishment" has run its course, this is no longer a big deal. Anyone who is still posting in this thread to argue against the SOTG hosts is just in it for the drama. Move on and do something worthwhile with your time, this horse has already been beaten to death.

ANYTHING out of the ordinary happens and you guys overreact so hard its funny. I mean you guys take it so far at times that you even send mail to peoples employers to get them fired. These guys are wasting two hours of their time to do a show that they do not get paid for just for your entertainment. Let me say it again, they do it for FREE. There is absolutely no need for them to act any different than their usual self to be "professional". It's a get together between friends where they just talk about starcraft in general, no real different than what you guys would be doing with your friends. You guys are so emo you make it to be like Incontrol and Idra came over to Avilos house and beat him up or something extreme when all that was said was "shut the fuck". Big fucking deal man....its like if some of you have have absolutely no experience with having friends. From what i have read most of them have apologized already and you guys continue. Move on with your lives folks. lol do you really think they do it because they are so warm hearted? xD obviously they do it for exposure/promoting themself.... I wouldn't even be surprised if they also earned some money with it.
