You joined today and are telling people to go away.
You're either a PBU or skipped reading the 10 commandments as you were asked to.

of course that is not an acceptable approach to a discussion. But if you're having difficulty accepting that people have been building bunkers down the ramp from naturals on certain maps since basically forever, then I don't know what to tell you. It's a really weird and dismissive and completely unreasonable thing to assume that I have never made a bunker to for example block a quick third or to create a staging point for a siege tank push. But I'll just have to try and remember your username and remind myself that this is how you "discuss" and that you're not actually worth the time.
Also, learn to quote properly. Just bolding sections in a quote is really messy and makes responding to you way more work than it's worth.

If you're going to quote me at least make sense, so I've got something to reply to.

No it's not, one of the two has decent results over the past 2 years and one has none since MLG Dallas. Should not be hard to figure out who is who.
It's one thing to dislike the play style of someone for whatever reasons but calling someone who has put up consistent results bad is cringeworthy.

I think Idra quite literally thinks that MKP is a bad player and wins because of luck due to his random builds, and not because of skill. It's really weird to listen to, and even if this is the true opinion of Idra, he should tone his criticism down because such a nonsensical stance puts him in a bad light. If this is actually what Idra thinks, he needs to look up the definition of random luck. I think MKP wins because of his mechanics, and that his decisions are actually pretty questionable in a lot of cases. If that's what Idra means, I agree.

The difference is that idra labels him a bad player that gets undeserved wins, something which I doubt you would agree with.
MKP wins because he's unpredictable and is capable of pulling wins out of situations that he shouldn't have due to his macro/micro and multitasking and sheer aggression.
Idra has a gameplan for every game and if anything out of the ordinary happens then he falls apart. It's tragic to watch. Did the exact same thing in BW, complained about people "not playing the game the way they're supposed to"

Idra's opinion on MKP is not dictated by gameplay. He hates MKP because he wants his fans to hate MKP. MKP is a threat to Idra's ego, because everytime they met MKP used the dumbest strats and he still managed to beat him with it. He humiliated him in public, of course now he hates him.
Or you can think Idra is dumb enough to think MKP is bad. Which is possible, but unlikely imo. One can't be that delusional.

Thanks for those insights, Dr. Sigmund Jung. I'm glad you've got such amazing views inside the character and worldview of a person you've never met, spoken to or interacted with ever at any time.

I think you might be giving Idra too much credit there. He doesn't strike me as someone who would attempt to manipulate his fanbase like that. And thus far, all of his rage and antipathy towards various players (remember Cruncher?) seemed very genuine. I wouldn't put it past him to actually believe MKP is bad, and that he only wins because SC2 is fucking stupid, and so forth.

I have a hard time believing a pro player could think MKP is bad tho. But yeah it's possible.

Can I just pipe in with some positivity?
I really enjoyed the thoughtful, high-level discussion of TvZ balance between IdrA and QXC. It's hard to find balance discussion, anywhere, that is as informative and interesting as that was.
Even though Incontrol and JP joked about it during the pre-show, having a Terran on the panel as articulate and thoughtful as QXC really adds a lot of value to this kind of conversation.
Both QXC and IdrA are pretty rare -- it's not easy to find players that can both play at a high level, but also breakdown and analyze the complexities of the game in an understandable and entertaining way.** They both also have great rapport and chemistry with the regular hosts.
Anyway, I hope the show continues to have balance discussions and analysis of this caliber in the future. The Avilo-IdrA drama was a minor distraction in an otherwise great debate.
IdrA/QXC hwaiting!
**Just because there may be better players out there, doesn't mean they can explain their decisions or analyze the game in a useful or constructive way. Stephano and Naniwa are good examples of smart players that are too reticent to actually cater to an audience (or even other players).

You guys need to stop putting so much personal responsibility on the players for what they say. Idra very likely meant a lot of what he said as a joke.

IdrA made it pretty clear during the show that he doesn't respect your opinion, and was quite reluctant to discuss balance with you (saying things such as "Are we seriously going to do this?" and "This is a bad idea.")
The only reason you got to appear on the show and talk to IdrA at all is because InControl and JP browbeated him into it, knowing full well that you would put him on tilt.
So yeah. JP owed IdrA an apology. He apologized to you to at the end of the show as well. You don't throw a cow in the cage with a bear and blame the bear or the cow for the mess you end up with.
