I just dont want it made in a way that it ties SOTG to mlg more than it already is.

Dan 'Artosis' Stemkoski - A member of the Bryophyta division, Artosis hails from Seoul, South Korea where he serves as one-half of the casting archon, Tastosis. He is one of the best analytical commentators and the second best English caster in Seoul. I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure he does not speak a word of Korean.

Tell me where to pay and how to do so. If a subscription included the ability to download a VOD directly to my Iphone or kindle fire, I would be pumped. I have paying data charges, that money should go to you guys instead.

(I might be failing hard on reading comprehension right now...) He says on stream he knows more words than Tasteless, so thats got to be at least 1 word! lol

If you get no breaks, better/faster downloading of vods or something along this line, sure that's fine with me. If you get additional content like a 2v2 between the pillars or additional discussion about something, well... my gut feeling tells me that this could turn out bad. I don't want that they would say something like: "Oh, we already discussed the Naniwa incident in the Subscription show." Because, in the end that does take away things from the normal show.

how do we get some kind of guarantee that incontrol stays on the show and stays completely awesome? (note i live in uk and therefore it's almost impossible to watch live)

That's true, though I could see this being more viable and simpler if the usual package of MLG that guarantees HD/VODs/beta streams would include this subscription of SotG.

I don't know how many people would view a subscription service as a form of donation and how many would view it as paying for a product. If you start a subscription service people may feel your obligated to providing a regular amount of content that would could be difficult to provide since you're all busy people, with complicated schedules.

I've tried watching every episode live for the past 3-4 months or so.. So any added perks would be cool.

But what would a subscription bring to SOTG? A warm fuzzy feeling for the donors? Sure, that would be great, as long as we stop hearing about who sponsors you. Do you think the guests of SOTG stop plugging sponsors if you take donations? Probably not -- That's just not how e-sports works right now. So really there doesn't seem to be any reason for such a subscription to exist except to give people free money who weren't getting it before; that's why people are upset.

People used to do low cost things like sotg for free for the love of it. If the guys running it don't have time anymore due to other commitments others will take their place

That said I wouldn't benefit as I just listen to the podcast on my work commute. I'd be happy to fork over a few bucks to support the hosts and improve the show. Problem is that I almost never get a chance to watch live, so if the only benefits are for live viewers I might as well make a donation. Maybe you guys can do something else like sell some t-shirts or hats. I don't mind overpaying but for some inexplicable reason I don't feel like just donating money lol. I want some stupid little trinket or something in return, even if its way overpriced. Can't explain it but that's what my gut is telling me. GL guys, looking forward to the next show. Geoff, good luck at Homestory!

Anything can happen in this thread, if you announced to everyone in this thread, that next week you will throw a cpl of bricks of 100$ bills in their mailbox, there would be people asking for it tomorrow and some people whould be pissed that you didnt paypal them instead because the box would be full and money is heavy. StoG is fantastic indeed, its my favorite show. I would not mind to have an option to support the show this is a very nice idea and i hope i can send you guys money soon!
