Nobody ever said the players need to be drunk, just the casters . Plus I don't think anyone really expects Day[9] to get hammered live, having his one fancy belgian ale is drunk enough for him lol.

Players don't need to get drunk, really noobdy needs to get drunk just have them play each other and the casters cast from a laid back (drinking a beer) perspective to make it super entertaining!

Yeah definitely! That's what I would be hoping for.
Ok here we go, i would guarentee you 40k viewers hands down, and i'd donate 100$ to the show for lying if it doenst happen with this idea, put destiny, deezer, incontrol, and combatex, all drunk, into one skype call and just let us all enjoy, with artosis sean tyler and jp all dying laughing in the backround, and once you finally get them to stop yelling at eachother, let us fans call in and voice our opinion on the situation and then have wrestling matches of the eg team just for fun, and then at the end, have sean ladder for us, being as we all want to see him do it.
If you dont like that idea, the crazy thing we could have sean do is enter a major tournament, such as dreamhack, nasl, mlg, or gsl as a player and not be a caster. That would be crazy and very popular

Look, all I did was call into Fuck Slasher and ask about it. I was then later banned in the chat by JP for asking more about it since I wasn't even able to ask Slasher about it without being hung up on. Then, I came to TL and made an innocent thread about it and I haven't done anything else.
Please, JP, I like you, but don't make shit up. It's simply disrespectful and unprofessional. Thank you and thank you for the show.

On Forgg aka oGsFin Day[9] said he was showing personality in his gameplay. Really? I see his old 2 Factory all in build revitalized in a new all-in move for SC2. I have seen all of his games except for the RO24 matches which I will now shortly be catching up on, but I don’t see any play that reminds me of his MSL where originality along with aggressive play won him the gold. His macro and micro are still very good and he executes timing attacks better than most. Maybe these RO24 will show me something, but I just think we have a new bit-by-bit, but one with game sense, micro, and clean early game macro.
On Journalism for SC2 and even other ESPORTS The reason why there are so few good interviews is because the only good interviewers are on non-TL websites. They post on any number of the good, but unpopular websites. They know how to ask an intriguing question and then make sure it isn’t dodged. Then post it up and all 5 viewers can read or watch it. On TL quite a few of the interviewers are those who write the headliners for events or specific matches. They are used to stating facts that they already know. Most of them could write a story without even asking the questions because every single interview contains the select few questions about the exact same topic. I don’t blame the TL writers what they do and have done (especially in broodwar) is write an epic back story for every single event or match, but if everyone already knows the answer to the question you are about to ask why bother asking it in the first place?
On Mech in TvP A discussion about how mech against protoss can or can’t work is pretty useless is it not? Artosis assuming that MVP can’t handle mech and refuses to use a strategy that could win him another GSL just because it is harder seems odd? He has the APM and brains for it what exactly makes it too hard for arguably the best BroodWar pro (at the time of switch) to handle such a strategy? And for InControl to assume that every Terran has tried mech and every deviation of mech enough to know it doesn’t work also seems odd. Why would anyone thoroughly test mech when before the most recent patches bio with speedy upgrades (stim, combat, concussive), cheap ghosts, and an EMP radius of OVER 9000 could hit a protoss so hard that if they missed one force field you could end a game. Who knows maybe the future holds mech with one starport slowly pumping out battlecruisers, but to assume that it has been tested to its fullest or that it is unbeatable without visual proof seems just odd.
On discussing game strategy I wish you guys would do this more often. It seems like the one thing other than amusing trivial stuff that you guys can get riled up over and shine light on for the rest of us. This episode was pretty much a waste, but you guys did one a while back that was actually informative up until Day[9] said he would test the build himself and I think Tyler just flat out said it wouldn’t work. I think it was something about sentries, but that episode if foggy for me.
Again thanks for another amusing and great episode and a good year. Other than Sons of Anarchy this is about the only show I don’t miss. Have a good holiday season and good luck next year.
God artosis was off the ball today. Props to Incontrol for putting some sanity on the show. You're right artosis, even after almost 2 years of starcraft 2, not a single terran player has been able to find out how to play mech in tvp reliably. We're all not good enough to make it work. What a joke. Does artosis even play this game? This notion that mech is really good but it's "too hard" for players 20x better than artosis so they instead select bio. If you've played the terran race for more than 3 minutes you'd understand why mech has no future in tvp. Why can't we be realistic and just admit that mech generally doesn't work. Also, insulting goody's skill is pretty pathetic considering artosis is like mid masters himself. I wouldn't be throwing stones around if I were him considering his house is made of thin, thin glass. I'm pretty sure goody would crush artosis any day.

I don't believe Artosis was insulting goody, and he certainly doesn't believe himself to be that great at all. But his job is to watch the best players in the world all the time, and to understand what they do. His point was Goody is not a top tier terran at ALL, not even close, he just goes mech in all his matchups and doesn't even do it well, and STILL has some favorable results in tvp where mech isn't supposed to even work. So therefore, on the crux of the sheer power of the unit comp alone, maybe there is a way for mech to be viable in tvp.
I disagree with him... but not because his premises are false, the unit composition itself is really strong, but it suffers from more than just a lack of mobility. The main problem with mech is it takes FOREVER to actually get the army, and after an army trade situation it's going to take FOREVER again, and you won't have forever, you'll have a few minutes before a massive remade zealot archon army is going to be killing all your expansions. Mech is like, a reallly reallly long 3 base allin. It's allin, because if you fail to keep your army alive forever, which is impossible to preserve any army forever in its entirety, you pretty much lose the game after one engagement.
Compared to bio which not only has fantastic mobility but after an army trade situation you can remake your entire army at the same rate as protoss provided you massed barracks at the appropriate time on par with his mass of warp gates.
Is a maxed mech army stronger in sheer power than a maxed bio army? Hell yes. Does that mean it's the best strat to use? Probably not.
edit: I'll add that I have no theorycrafting idea for how to kill a maxed mech ghost army. Tanks vikings ghosts and hellions, just what on earth would kill that once it's maxed?

Play the game. It's that simple play the god damn game. All you have to do to understand is to play the game. Log into starcraft2, select terran, try 100-200 mech tvp games. You'll quickly realize that mech is no good. It's not a matter of skill, siege tank/hellion/thor compositions will 9/10 get completely obliterated by protoss. There is no potential for it, end of discussion.
I'm sick of non-terran players cooking up bullshit about mech. You can sit here talk about how good terran mech looks on paper but the second you go try it you'd get disappointed really quick. When you see that defeat screen you feel like you were on a completely different playing field than your opponent. You'd know about the situation if you played starcraft 2 as terran regularly.
