I think that the simple NATURE of a show like SOTG is that the perceived value of the show decreases exponentially over time as an episode gets older. People like to be able to discuss the things said on the show ASAP. Another thing to consider is that with SOTG getting more and more popular, the value of seeing it ASAP gets even bigger. If there comes a time when non-official methods of watching SOTG VODs is both quicker and more reliable, it will become the standard method of watching SOTG VODs for a lot of people (because they NEED to see it as soon as possible), much in the same way that people will often pirate music, even after they buy a CD, since it is the most efficient/easy method. But I mean, MLG has a lot more resources than a dude at his house. I don't think that MLG's delay in getting VODs up is a matter of capacity, but rather a matter of method. I missed Artosis, but I think Inc+Idra+Artosis+Day9+X (generally Tyler) should be a part of every SotG. Artosis is mandatory though, we *need* that "on the ground" opinion from Korea/GSL. | ||

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. Incontrol did an okay job as a host but he is a much better pillar... Of course, this was just one show - if he hosts a bunch of shows, he'll get better at it, and perhaps as good as JP is. But the thing is that he can't be host and the usual Incontrol in the same time. | ||

Hum... That answer strikes me at funny (the first part) Sotg grew big when it was: Advertisment free and not sponsored. Now it is sponsored by MLG, which seems to mean: It now has advertisements/breaks, is uploaded later and sometimes feels like one big MLG commercial.. So, you deliver an actually worse product since MLG is involved and it is suddenly required to watch it on MLG to make SOTG possible? Ahm.. Lol? Did you actually think about this for a second before you typed that masterpiece of PR bullshit? I mean, how do all these other streamers handle their streams whiteout having a big ass company in the background (probably by not having their format sold out)? Btw: I wonder where that money goes that MLG puts in.. It sure as hell does not look expensive (and it does not have to, i liked it the way it was and i'm ok with it the way it is now). I have absoluetly no problem with you and the others making money from it... But seriously why don't you just say that you want to earn money and therefore, logically, are against pirating it... | ||

JP isn't in the same situation as before he was hired by MLG, so that might as well change stuff about whether he can make MLG. Making a SOTG is a good few hours work, who knows, maybe JP is busy enough at his new job that he can't afford to do SOTG in his free time anymore? You're jumping to conclusions a bit too quickly... | ||

Not having time for SOTG due to being hired by MLG which now owns SOTG which hired you mainly because of SOTG would not exactly make sense, don't you think? . | ||

For me personally I hope that the show is uploaded when I get home from work on wednesdays (show ends at about 7am I think). If that's impossible for MLG then if's of course fine too, it's a free content and I won't complain about it. I personally just don't like listening to an mp3 or waiting a few days when some discussions might not be interesting any more. So as an Stotg fan I hope they find a solution to upload it within the first 8-10 hrs and if that's impossible it's of course too I won't just watch every episode. | ||

Not only that but he seems kinda jaded and not interested in anything that doesn't have to do with him. I mean, for a person that even has problems doing duo casts because he wants all the attention for himself, being one of four or five isn't really ideal. I know I'd be happy if he was replaced with someone who is actually interested in the game and has enough guts to speak his mind about things and doesn't see himself as a little bit better than everyone else. | ||

He talked avidly and excitedly about the new HoTS units, and in case you haven't noticed, he kind of dedicated his entire life to Starcraft and has an incredibly busy schedule. We're lucky he even gets to show up to SotG at all. Sure, it sucks that he has to leave early but I don't see the reason to paint him as this semi-narcissistic douche who just wants attention, when his 370 odd 1-hour long shows all about how to get better at this game (and BW) say quite the opposite. He's really done more for the scene than you can imagine, and it's kind of disrespectful to claim otherwise, or claim that he's in it for the fame or something. I don't want to come off as rude, but I think that's the reality of it  | ||

I don't think there's any point getting into a big argument over this, but it's rather frustrating when someone who cannot ever hope to contribute nearly as much blatantly disrespects someone who has put in so many man-hours into providing free content for the masses and make people better at this game. But hell, here it goes: The point was that he has dedicated well over 400 hours (and that's just in the dailies) to helping people in this game. Who really cares if it's solo? Who else could be with him on this show? Suggestions? He was actually at blizzcon and tested these units himself (he also casted blizzcon, I'll get to that in a sec), he talked about the new units and weighed in on them, but he didn't want to predict anything about balance, which I think is entirely fair that he doesn't want to presume something about an expansion that's probably not even near release. He has some time to be on SotG, so why not? I don't presume to speak for Day9, but he obviously wants to be on the show. As for casting, he has also casted at (as far as I know) every single MLG so far. That means traveling out to wherever the MLG is, doing a TON of fan signings and greetings, and not least he has to talk and cast for hours upon hours at a time (he's mentioned this before, his voice is basically shot after every big event like that). As for who talks most in his duo casts, there's absolutely 0 point to arguing that because no matter what I say you'll just say no, and say what you think (this generally goes for every argument like this). Ok, i'm not going to bother with this "argument" any more, I just needed to get that out. | ||
