I am happy that there are improvements, at least the video is not split in 6 parts now, but 12 hours is not that fast...why suddenly everyone forgetting the fact that a random guy did it in 1/10 of the time that took mlg? and this is actually downloadable.....
and, the point i made before, if anything all this mess will just make MLG work better
They could easily post it much quicker as stated many times in this thread, but they would like the mlg site to get hits.

Huzzah for snappy VOD time

If you don't want to whine then don't whine 12 hours is not much. If it takes three days, then that's a bit long, but half a day? Find something else to complain about. They do the show before they go to bed ffs

Thanks for the quick VOD. Keep it up guys!

Fine, I will complaint that I cant watch it on my ipad. I can also complaint that you cant download it. And that the vods are not up instantly. One would think this are crazy things, but this is how I watched sotg for almost a year, and then suddenly, when a major corporation gets behind it, you would think that it gets better. But no, from that moment you cant do any of that, well thats a bad business model imo.
And what a coincidence that the week it is ripped, it is uploaded much much quicker, weird right? maybe it is not as impossible as MLG claimed...

Great show, Get better fast JP!! Thanks Incontrol for filling in for him.

You do realise that most of those 12 hours are at night? Thats when JP is sleeping. Unless you would like him to stay up late compiling video for you after hosting the show.
Seriously, 12 hours, your worse than my clients. They at least give us 24 hour to fill their unreasonable requests.

Today's episode seemed a little underwhelming, as quite a few of the topics were beyond the group's knowledge (like Code S Group A matches). Since no one saw them, and only a few watched bits of Group B, there was nothing much for them to say. InControl did a good job with introducing the topics, keeping the fellow hosts more into it with the jokes (except for that awkward one with idrA and gentleman stilts) and so on. The audience didn't have that many good questions to ask (I'll admit, neither did I), and we heard everyone else's sentiments regarding the HotS units and changes, so everything really got narrowed down real quick.
If Artosis was there to give analysis about Code S group A and B, then there may have been more of a discussion, but sadly he was casting tonight, so yeah, understandable.
But I guess, in case the topics get cut short the next time, it would be a pretty good idea to have backup topics beforehand.
Well, good show nonetheless.

Well personally I didn't read the initial reddit thing but if the context is true than well he kinda deserves the bashing. Posting some highly polarizing piece then "quiting" when it backfires which was obvious from the start it would? Hopefully the situation isn't as bleak as that though and it was just a misunderstanding turned into a hate fest.

I suppose you could call it that, but they wern't wrong with anything they said.

Oh yeah, regarding that Milkis bashing, Milkis brought it on himself when he wrote his article on Reddit on the Starcraft II subreddit, not to mention a lot of SCII-playing TLers saw it. When you write something akin to "Broodwar is the ONLY esport", of course you're going to get flamed. At least they didn't ask DJ Wheat to comment about it live, because he'd have been swearing and cursing so loud, I'd be giggling all over.

You know that JP doesnt upload the show, right?
Besides that, was talking about the fact that Justin.tv does it instantly, and by itself, and that is how sotg worked for almost a year, untill it got founded by a major corporation, does that make any sense?

So you are against JP getting paid for providing you with a free show? You're unwilling to wait a few hours to get the next show to allow him to have an income and devote time to what you enjoy? You think its ok for someone to copy his hard work and put it up for free, bypassing his employer and the sponsors that pay JP and MLG? Do you think the person who created this download has a full time job where they have to wake up in the morning? You would rather he run the show, rip it and compile a version for you to watch into the morning? Do you feel you should not have to pay for that extra time and effort JP would have to put in?
Or do you just want things instantly because you're unreasonable? Things take longer because MLG is involved, but who cares? For that extra time, JP gets paid and now the show is something that isn't just a fun hobby.
But that part you don't care about, you just want what you want right now.

You clearly do not know how Justin.tv or video compiling works. If you did, you would understand why the streaming service has no issues recording the stream and why it can be up instantly. However, that does not put it on MLGs servers where they host the video from. They likely need to download it or re-record it, compile a version compatable with their player and make it go. But, hey, if you want it for free, someone stole JPs work, so go get it. I'll just wait for the VOD and make sure I support them.

And the vod on the justin.tv site doesn't benefit mlg at all. And the people that do upload it happen to live in the US like JP so they like to go to sleep at a reasonable hour when they have to get up and go to work tomorrow. Watch it live if you want it so fast. if you can watch it right after it airs, you can watch it live.

No, don't put words in my mouth that I haven't said. Really happy for Jp and I appreciate everything he does. I also like mlg, and I have a membership. But doesn't mean they doI everything right. The instantly was just a part of it. Why can't I watch it on my iPad anymore? Or download it? I can't do any of these things anymore and I think its a shame, nothing else
And just lol at the part talking about of th person that did the download has a job, what the hell do you know? And you know what time zones are?

Wow, I really found myself missing JP. Us non-pros kind of need a non-pro moderator to give us a portal into the discussion (and no, iNcontroL doesn't count, you trolls). Incontrol did a good job but I think that JP is a much better podcast moderator than I've been giving him credit for.
