I echo this sentiment.
I understand MLG sponsors SotG now so MLG gets more coverage and VODs go on MLG's site. However, it doesn't stop episodes from being outright boring where JP reads off who is in Group A, then asks each person for their opinion, and repeats that for each MLG group. It gives MLG attention, yes, but it probably dissuades me from watching SotG even more.
I suggest taking the discussion to a new format, or cut down the MLG discussion a bit and replace it with discussion about MLG's Global Invitationals.
Edit: I also think MLG's site has usability issues. I have no problems with MLG hosting MLG content, but if they want serious traffic to it they need to re-design it.
I really appreciate what you have been doing, but this part sounds really bad. The usual method that was more convenient for everybody doesn't benefit MLG, so from now on there will be more work for you and more waiting for us, if I understood this correctly?

Hey JP, definitely recommend eSATA in the meantime while you're figuring out that live-encoding, if you haven't already considered it. 300 MB/s feels like you're using broadband for the first time.
I probably won't watch this show on MLG.tv because i hate the website and don't want to watch 5 commercials per episode. The reason I like the show is because it was a far-cry from mainstream media which is always jam packed with ads.

One complaint I have is they spend an hour talking about groups and predictions, but then when the tournament actually happens, they only spend like 5 mins talking about the tournament results.
holy shit people need to calm the fuck down and stop ragging on sotg. if you love it so much, support it and be glad that its being used to promote the MLG brand.

No offense, I like him as a person, and I want him to do well. I'm just not as entertained by him as I am by everyone else on SotG (and ItG). Artosis, Incontrol, and Day9 are all very enthusiastic and have a lot of funny things to say. Tyler is much more reserved and a little more bland. I know he's been around for the entire run of the show, but it would be really nice if we could get someone who doesn't play Protoss instead every once in a while. Hell I'll even take a Terran.
If there's anything that would actually stop me from listening to SotG, it would be Tyler not being on the show anymore. There is no need for everyone to fit a specific role and be enthusiastic or funny or whatever*. One of the great things about SotG is the diversity of the characters and that it's not, erm, symmetric. There is absolutely no need to make sure that Incontrol talks less and Tyler more to balance it out.
Tyler's jokes are actually awesome, even though most of the time they're not the type of humour that gets the loud laughs; and he is also very enthusiastic about the things he finds interesting enough, he's just not shouting about it
I'm not going to spend time trying to find and watch the episodes anymore. I'll watch a couple of mins if I see it is live, but Inside the Game has taken over the role from this show after it became MLG branded.

i understand not being able to put this on blip or anything since it is now under MLG. But if they are going to refuse that it be put on any other site they need to make sure they can put it on their site on time.
If this is a one time mistake, then idc really, but i'd like state of the game to have some consistency... as in both air dates and upload times. Still, <3 to SotG and can't wait to check out this episode
