yeah they should like spoiled little brats... JP always uploads it really fast just look at onemoregame.tv they're always a lot slower but JP gets shit over him when he runs into problems while everyone can just listen to the mp3 version...

but it wasnt long ago he was boasting about his new PC and stuff. but he has something that cant encode fast and only has usb 2.0 slots?
im confused

Yeah god forbid people speak up when there's something they're unhappy with. It's much better to just silently stop watching without letting JP know why.

i liked SOTG way better when it wasn't sponsored by MLG

The problem is with the sometimes MLG-heavy episodes is, it really isn't that interesting. There's so little so say and a lot of it is just 'ummm uhhh' about things then choosing probably the favourite to progress anyway. Like there is very little analysis or insight... and it somehow takes ageesss. I mean really going through every single group? How about just putting out the obvious and saying who some dark horses might be. Not switching between each persons almost identical opinion on each group.

What is so bad about the MLG media player anyway? I just checked out some of the MLG invitational games and they seemed to work just fine for me. The only issue that I noticed was that I could not see how much of the video was loaded.
Specific feedback about what you don't like about the MLG player would be better than just saying that it sucks.

Why not? As far as I know blip also pays for views because of the ads and that could just go to MLG then. Or does MLG really think that a lot of people will start visiting other parts of the MLG site as well if the SOTG vods are on there or something? I don't really think so and otherwise I don't see how it should benefit MLG so much if the vods are on their site.

I shan't be watching unless MLG fixes their player tbh. So frustrating to use

However, I do find it very boring when they bring in some documentary filmer (like last episode) or some other perosn from outside the community. I want to hear about the game, whats new and how people are preforming. Im not so interested in the fluff around.

The thing is, when i have listened, the comments on the 'lesser' known players was fairly generic. Just simply 'oh he's actually good'. I dunno, if you like it that's great i just found it stretched out way to long for simply guessing who will get to the next round.

Yep, true that. Most of the shows are extremely difficult to catch if you are European and work/have school.

nothing new here just killing esports yeeeeeeeeh

I understand that MLG doesn't want their show to be hosted on a different site, but could you explain to the people at MLG who make the decisions that their player isn't up to par with today's standards. You should be able to scroll within the file without pre-loading. I don't think it's even possible to scroll through if it is loaded. So, if MLG makes their player friendlier to use, I'll switch over, if not, I'm happy with the MP3"s.

One of my favorite things to do is play a relaxed game of BW while listening to an episode of SotG. So chill.
Anyway, personally I don't find any noticeable difference with SotG after MLG sponsored them, maybe I'm not being overly nit-picky though TT;; I guess there's more ads and maybe they don't criticize MLG as freely anymore but essentially it's the same as far as I can hear; progamers and community members giving their blunt and honest opinions on events and happenings within the SC2 community and discussing it.
They don't seem any more drawn back or reserved about expressing their opinions, I guess maybe if I listen closely and use an older episode for reference, i'd get it?
Also, whining and criticizing is not the same. Whining signifies criticism that is not constructive, does not help and does not contribute or provide a solid form of feedback. Criticism is the opposite.
edit: Oh yeah, the video player for MLG, I haven't had much experience with it but what experience I have had... well, the episode wouldn't play at all. And when I checked the comments it was just a bunch of complaints about the video player so...
I just make a general search like "SotG archive" and find it on blip :O I thought they were dropping Bliptv support? Either way

It loaded in "medium" quality for me (aka like less than 240p, it was appalling), and every time it went to a new game it went back to medium. Kind of annoying since it also canceled full screen whenever I switched the quality.
There were also a lot of clicks to get the videos playing, the site wasn't very intuitive. (And any "refresh" on the page sent me back to the starting page of the invitational.)
Definitely room for improvement.
The game itself was smooth though. I've never liked blip.tv anyway.

I think that's mostly Tyler. >_<
No offense, I like him as a person, and I want him to do well. I'm just not as entertained by him as I am by everyone else on SotG (and ItG). Artosis, Incontrol, and Day9 are all very enthusiastic and have a lot of funny things to say. Tyler is much more reserved and a little more bland. I know he's been around for the entire run of the show, but it would be really nice if we could get someone who doesn't play Protoss instead every once in a while. Hell I'll even take a Terran.

Agreed on both parts. Though I'm not opposed to a little "fluff," I just don't know if I want to hear about non-SC2 action for 20 minutes. 5-10 minutes sure.
The fluff that I want to hear is more directly game-related, like ESPN possibly picking up Starcraft 2.

Too bad mlg's website, including the cringe worthy vod section, is one of the worst to navigate sites I've ever seen in all of esports. Trying to find stuff on that site is like reading a wheres waldo book. Furthermore I don't understand how mlg can still have such a shitty player and have to break up sotg vod into 5 pieces (with 5x the commercials, no doubt) in this day and age if they want people to view the content on their site.
MLGs site is like the last remnant of the MLG Dallas (or whichever event it was that had all the issues before MLG improved drastically) days and remains shit while everything else about MLG has improved a ton. At least work on your issues if you don't want JP posting to other sites now after hes been doing it for 50 episodes.

I really doubt anyone would bother attempting to navigate MLG's site. That setup is a joke. They boasted about 100 million gross last year (i think) probably paying their web designer a dollar a day though
