Nimic Norway1360 Posts November 12 2010 16:00 GMT #581 Bringing my whole army out to face the opposing army, only to realize when I'm 5 seconds away from the confrontation that all my tanks (a lot of them) got left behind on account of me putting two bunkers "blocking" my natural. That was fun. I wasn't even upset that I lost that one, because the mistake was too damn big. It was like.. oh, I forgot half my army. Because I walled them in. Right. What can you do?

We were on a loss streak and this was the first match where we were favored so we hoped it would be a win to break the loss streak. Drone came to harass my SCV, my reaction sorta fubaring my build a bit. When I finally got rid of it, lifted my barracks for an add on, and 12 Zerglings ran in as it lifted and killed half my SCVs. When we killed that, I scouted a proxy pylon on the very edge of my base and lost the remaining half of SCVs to warped in Zealots. And when we finally killed that, they expanded like three times. Rating? We were 900 gold at the time, our opponents were 1000 Platinum, 800 Diamond in 1v1, around 1000 platinum in 2v2. And we were favored. Uh huh. FML.

He comes over with 4 banshees i didnt know about, and at the same time my speedling/baneling army is breaking down his unspotted rocks at the back of his base. he kills off my main but i get a couple spore crawlers at my nat to defend. He says "this is the part where you gg and leave". My army breaks down the door and kills off everything but 1 barracks, 1 starport, and his cc which he lifted off. at this point i had kills a few thors and hellions so i only had about 20 lings left. He land in the south min patch which has rocks on either side of it, so i start breaking those down. I only had 2 drones left at my nat and was trying to get some more out (i only had 1 hatch, 2 spores and 2 drones). I have lings breaking down the rocks but he manages to get enough units out for me to rage and then quit.

LazyMacro 976 Posts November 12 2010 21:18 GMT #585 I had a PvT on Scrap Station while I was in platinum before I got promoted to diamond. I decided to cheese and I ended up double gating at 10 by the rocks. Outside of my base. FFFFFFF- I ended up winning, though.

stealthrider 24 Posts November 12 2010 23:17 GMT #587 I get cannon rushed on Metalopolis, but manage to stop it. While I'm warping in my 3rd and 4th gateways to try and end the game, I find the two proxy gates by my nat, my scout probe welcomed by 20 or so zealots. FML.

I got my second expo up and then I went fast, without even thinking about it, grabbed some probies and send them to my new expo and returned to bothering our opponents. Few moments later, my friend asks me over skype - 'Did you just take my probes and send them to your expo?' I facepalmed so hard. <.<

Xerros United States39 Posts November 13 2010 02:53 GMT #590 kind of an FML for my opponent at the time, TvT, it was on shakuras platuea, we spawned both on bottom half of map, i see hes going mass marine, so i go 'rine, 'ruader tank. he has his rax and marines blocking the front so i break his back door rocks, siege up and he has a bioball +1 tank down his throat, queuing him to say, "i didn't know that backdoor was there, to which i promplty respond, "now you do!" he had aparently hidden expo'd to the top left main and the next 5 mins was a wild goose chase of me macroing and trying to find him, when i do he has a decent base rebuilding his army with some rax he floated during my initial attack that are clear across the map. i roll his base and see his small marine army rolling towards my natural with the aid of a xel'naga, siege up in their path and their dead before he can even see whats happening, he leaves and i have a quiet little laugh to myself about it....

I decide to move out as soon at my 6 brood lords are done and I move out with my 30 roaches/lings and 15 mutas for the colossus, 15 seconds later my army is demolished with little damage to his forces... he blinks forward ever so slightly to my brood lords that hadn't attacked or moved a inch because I had them in another control group .....

Just when I push out I catch some of his lings off guard and kill them all without taking any damage. I reach his base and start harassing, which goes really well. Then I notice he runs like 6 lings past my force and to my base, and at this point I'm chuckling to myself think lol I got this ezpz, he'ss desperate and trying to counter with some lings while I have a bunch of marines and a tank behind a wall. Then I check my base just in time to see 25 something lings walking straight past my lowered depot which I apparently tried raising with the god damned E button. Then I raise it and go panic mode trying to fight of the lings that got in my base, which doesn't go all to well, especially because another 10 lings and some banelings waltzed right past my depot which was still lowered because I pressed the wrong god damn key AGAIN. And from there I lose pretty hard.

nommer Canada2 Posts November 13 2010 17:14 GMT #595 went for 14 hatch got 15 gas droned hard till 25/26 but had no pool guy came in with 4 zealots while my pool was almost done had to use drones suffered huge losses but i eventually won because i went mass lings and caught him out of place with marauders marines and unsieged tanks 10 minutes into the game

Playing ZvP on Metalopolis, at about the five minute mark, econ going well, then I see his army moving out and... I'd forgotten to build a spawning pool. Or any units.

For the first 4 games we spawn top centre / bottom centre and therefore conclude these are the only spawn positions used if the map is played 2 player. After a few normal games I decided to cannon rush, its a build we both hate and tend to lambast whenever it comes up. My probe sneaks off, runs up his ramp, carefully skirts the top of the his base (he is at the 6 o'clock position) and makes it into the trees at the backdoor without being seen. I beginning building pylon/cannons. As I get ready to slam down the mineral-line-blocking-cannon I get concerned that the end mineral patches don't seem to be in use. It then occurs to me there also doesn't seem to be any creep... I edge forward... my probe finds an empty base. My mate had spawned at the bottom left position. I cannon rushed an empty main...

Literally, Every last zergy one of his drones. i forget about my lings for a split second and 7 roaches come up and kill all of them they then proceed to kill my newly finished expo and all drones within. he marches up the ramp kills my lair... I was raging then 10 minutes ago and im am still Very very very angry.
