I will try the campaign on normal or hard but not insane at the first time because I want to enjoy the story and the feeling on the game, I will try the insane setting when I play it a second time.

Hard, definitely. I want to play the campaign where I can beat most missions on the first try, but can be caught by surprise from time to time and lose.

Has it been confirmed that the campaign mode will be strictly Terran? Or will there be a Zerg and Protoss campaign as well in WoL? Will we have to wait for the next installments to play the Zerg and Protoss campaigns?

The main campaign will be terran. Toss will have a mini campaign (I'm guessing to get casuals see and use the units before going online).

I'll be starting on the highest difficulty. I want to take my time with the campaign, having as much fun as possible. I recently replayed SC and BW's campaigns and had a blast doing them, especially in Brood War where it got tougher, having to plan out a path to break terran bases (Oh god, I hate fighting Terran in the campaign) and expand to keep resources coming in. The highest difficulty should force this kind of strategic thinking.

Start on hard. If it should be too easy maybe go to very hard (which for melee AI was the next step before final, which then was insane).

Normal first...then I'll go back and do it on Hard later on. Insane and Easy are a waste of time.

As a Starcraft enthusiast who doesn't play Sc that much, I probably won't be able to handle hard, but my pride won't let me play it on normal/easy >.<

I just really want to know what happens so i'm going to do it on normal then just go online. Also the insane AI is useful as you have to act really quick so it is challenging.

The campaign is made for casual gamers so the hardest difficulty is meant to give those people are challenge. For us, I think it'll just be 2 tries a mission. First try to learn the map, second try to beat it.

Assuming they code it like SC/SC:BW it will be designed regardless for the player to win. As I feel I'm a competent player I'll go Insane first. I was able to beat SC:BW before I actually *knew* how to play the game, I'm sure this will be no different.

I'll probably start off on the highest difficulty, but I assume I'll get to the point where I just want to breeze through it on lower difficulty for the story like alot of others will do. It probably depends on what kind of rate I'm getting through the campaign on the hardest.

A Protoss mini-campaign to introduce players to them for online play, but none for Zerg? It's a Jedi mind trick, please ignore the unfinished Zerg race.

FWIW, the Challenge Missions look cool, might be a nice different taste for those who want to try out other races (ie Zerg) without going straight to multiplayer:

Tactical Command - basic Terran counters img 1 img 2 img 3
Path of Ascension - basic Protoss counters
For the Swarm - basic Zerg counters

Covert Ops - Ghosts & Ravens
Psionic Assault - Sentries and High Templar
Infestation - Queens & Infestors

Harbinger of Death - Protoss micro img 1 img 2 img 3
Opening Gambit - Zerg openings (fast pools, fast expands)?
Rush Defense - Terran defense (wall-offs, etc)?

Insane - I want the AI to get an extra boost, because in the standard form it's just not good enough.

Think of SC1 AI in custom matches where there was no boost. It's timing attacks were incredibly inefficient. How much more fun would it have been if the timing attacks they had contained about 33% more units? Marginally better, but still better.

Although if it's anything like SC1 campaign, it'll just be harder with not too much cheating involved. SC1 campaign the enemy started with around ~70,000 minerals and ~70,000 vespene gas each mission. It just never spent them because of its scripts. So insane would actually spend the money given to the AI faster, and I guess take advantage of faster build times.

Normal. I play the campaign for the story. If I want a challenge, that's what the ladder is for.
