I know there was a way to play against AI in between beta phases 1 and 2, and someone mentioned yesterday that they are going to play practice maps while the beta is offline, so can someone please tell me how i can play starcraft somehow until the launch?

Or use sc2ALLin1 (v9.9.0)

Disclamer: I haven't actually tried this yet so do it at your own risk

I didn't link anything because they are considered as cracked programs and it's at least frowned upon here.

They were made by different people :o

But the scmanager is in korean ( I think ) so it's a little harder to use.
sc2ALLin1 should be the most easiest.

it's funny how blizzard made the game only playable "online" cuz of pirating... but here we see how easy it is to actually crack and play offline. Basically when the game comes out hackers will figure out a way to make it work offline and the game will be just as easily pirated for single player as any other game.

the funny thing is blizzard put no lan support so they can "stop" pirating. now we have no lan and blizzard fails!

The game is cracked to the extent that you can play home made AI in custom games. The AI provided by Blizzard is still only accessable by connecting to their servers. I don't think singleplayer campain will be playable untill after a couple of months after the release. Possibly the campain AI is being run from Battlenet 2.0 which would make the cracking even harder since the crackers would need to create their own AI. Multiplayer probably won't be completly cracked (with pirated servers) within the first year after the release.

I think Blizzards avoidance of LAN is a successful move anti-pirate wise. If they can delay the pirated multiplayer a couple of months then they will have enough time to make Battlenet 2.0 the place where everyone wants to place and pirated servers won't be much of a problem.

I tried using both but seemed to run into problems with the latest patch. It says your SC2 is not subscribed to Single player mode yada yada etc... Apparently, there is also a shift in where you store your maps from My Documents to two separate locations (checking the forum posts)

Can anyone advise whether SC2Manager or SC2AllIn is easier to use with the latest patch? (Have both and none works) Am trying to use it with GreenTea on Windows 7.

Actually, the single player exists online, and solely online. If you crack the game for single player, you'll only be able to play against AI (Play as guest...)

sc2ALLin1 works fine for me using the Blizzard AI.

To get the current Blizzard maps go here: http://sc2.nibbits.com/assets/starcrack-allin1/files/309/

To use Greentea ai it seems you need to use an old version of SC2Allin1, or crack your SC2 and use SC2 Launcher. I haven't tried either, but I might--the Blizzard ai is very bad.

If you are using the crack that you need to launch the map through the editor, you need to replace the editor .exe in support, not the main beta folder.

I dont use crack, neither any kind of launchers - just plain sc2 beta with patches - and i can use map editor just like i could when beta was up.

That's what i meant.

if you've used the map editor before the beta closed, you can launch maps through the editor. you can set game variant to coop vs ai, but the ai will remain on easy no matter which difficulty you set.
