Help us make the best collection of build orders possible!
Now that I have an encoding system in place for my build order tester / trainer (YABOT), it was suggested that we start a new thread to collect your build orders. Who knows, we may get some pros to stop by 
Adding build orders is simple! You can do it in one of two ways:
1) Play the YABOT map in "Freestyle" mode and just do your build order as normal. Your build order will automatically be saved after you hit the 7 minute mark, or if you type -e into chat. Then open your bank file at "My Documents/Starcraft II Beta/Banks/YabotSettings.SC2Bank" in a text editor and copy your build order from BuildOrder0 (everything between the quotes).

AND / OR
2) Use the online tool at www.xorpwnz.com/YABOT and set up attack waves and create / edit the build order steps, press the "Encode" button, and then paste your build in the thread for everyone to see. You can also load anyone's build order text in using the tool to review it!
Playing through and training with custom build orders is simple too!
1) The first number after the -cb in the build order is the slot that you want to store the build order into. Currently there are 10 slots in the map. Just change this number if you want it in a different slot. Then, if the build order is short enough, you can just past the whole thing into the chat on the map to load it in!
2) But sometimes they are too long because Blizzard limits the amount of chat characters. But there is a solution! Open up that bank file and just paste it in following the example above. If you don't see a bank file, or even the bank folder, just create the folder and plop in this pre-made bank file. Then just edit that file and you're good to go!

I hope that YABOT will have some standard of quality in its build orders. It would be painful to sift through 100 build orders designed by silver-level players to find the 5 that are high level and the ones that lower-level players should be learning if they want to improve.

Agreed. I believe YABOT should have a standard for inclusion along the lines of the Liquipedia 2's strategy guide (such as being used in two or more tournaments). Or maybe it it is used by high level players, or featured by Day[9] (just a couple thoughts).

some YABOT build orders dont actually need to be 100% refined builds that allow you to macro into the late game, because those take a really long time to actualize. Rather, compiling a list of cheese and rush unit X builds would help a lot to set the foundations for finding those refined builds. At the moment, I've been using YABOT to try to find cheese timings and then to pit my own long term build against as many cheese as possible. Can it survive 8 pool lings? Can it survive 5 rax rines? Can it survive voidray rush? By first establishing these pristine cheese builds with razor edge timings, we will be able to help everyone develop their own "standard" build.

There will definately be a higher level of standard BO's for YABOT. Currently we are working to get some of the higher level players involved to get them more refined. Many of these inputs will help as timing pushes, cheese builds, all in's and rushes to be integrated for your testing pleasure. YABOT will continue to be a great help for all levels of play and only get more and more refined, without becomming a massively intricate and gigantic sized file.

Yes thats what I need at the moment a good list of cheese builds I can test my own regular build against. I appreciate thats not what a higher level player will be wanting to do but Its already helped me a lot. I cant wait till the end of the break now .

One minor problem: When zerg spawns in YABOT, the larvae pop out of the hatchery and you can't build until the end of the animation. In regular games, the larvae are available immediately. Very minor issue, but something to consider.
I am working on optimizing the queen-roach build featured in Day9 Daily #134 and will encode it shortly.

Is it possible to play with YABOT vs an AI, I mean like, one that you don;t auto win when you beat his rush or whatever and actually makes units? just curious

Not yet, currently we do have someone working on an AI for YABOT, but it isn't completed yet. Xorpwnz will make sure everyone knows when it's getting closer to being ready.

This issue has been resolved in v 0.1.7, countdowns for zerg starting allow for the larva to be available to be used immediately now. Enjoy!

One question though, and I am sorry if it has been answered, but what would a par score be? ie in what range do they spread? Would an absolute perfect (hitting all targets exactly and having an army larger than a cetain number at the end of the 10 minutes) be say 15,000, or ?
If the scores are relative to the builds then it may be difficult however if the points are allocated the same way depending on how well you hit the predetermined targets (which I am thinking they likely are) then maybe having some kind of legend with a target score of 'insane', 'great', 'ordinary', 'atrocious' (or something along those lines) may be helpful.

At some point, I will compile scores from different levels of players for each build so that we can get an idea of what the scores really mean. For now, just try to maximize your score

A question regarding setting up the waves. When specifying the time for each wave - is it the time when you expect the wave to be at the targets base or is it the time when the wave starts moving out?

Edit: Okay so I just tried pasting this into my custom build order slots. First, it kept setting me as terran because all of the Custom things said TvT. I restarted the map and now it won't even let me get to the game. It freezes at the Restarting 3... 2... 1.. and it gives me a trigger error whenever I click the build in the beginning menu.
Furthermore, upon resetting, all of the custom builds change to TvT, and the PvX ones give me trigger errors.

I'm not sure what to do for the mac issues, hopefully someone else here knows what to do and can assist you with that. I'll take a look at nony's pheonixes and see if i can get it in better working order for 0.1.8 release.

All you have to do is paste it in the bank file like you were doing but you need to change the key names, like this:

Apparently there is a 770 or so character limit for text stored in the bank file. So if you shorten up your description it should work. Just as a guideline, the build text you posted is 847 characters, so try removing about 77 characters from the description and let me know if it works.

It's actually still not working. I uploaded a few more BOs to see if any of them work, and none of them are working properly. I tried shortening all of the descriptions but it still gives me the trigger error. for most of them it cuts off the BO after a few steps, or just doesn't show them at all. The ones without the trigger error show that the matchup is TvT only for ZvX matches=\

If I may add one suggestion to the YABOT system, it is this: Please include a rough ETA for the openings. I'm a low level player, and while I can execute the builds, I can't help but feel that I can do them faster or more effeciently. Food is good, but I can't help but think that time would be more realistic at least for openings. I'm slower than most people using this program (who I assume are platinum/diamond) and a diamond player will get to say 30 food up to 5 seconds faster than a bronze player I'm sure.

If you just make sure that you're keeping your money as low as you can and making sure that you don't get supply blocked you should be fine. Just play around with the bot and figure out what style of play works best for you, and follow the above rules and you'll optimize your desired framework easily.
On that note, I can make freestyle build orders and save them to different slots, but if i attempt to change the name of the BO, something terrible happens and it no longer works. Any suggestions?

If you download version 0.1.5 of the map you can see how it's encoded but it has changed slightly since then. I'm changing the encoding a little again for 01.8 and once it's complete, I'll post a complete guild on how to manually decode/encode the build order.

With the new encoding in 0.1.7 it does record the times for the steps, so hopefully I will get enough data collected to start adding real numbers in for those times soon.

So for a new player like me, this map will help me get my basics down? I'm also playing the multitask map to help me out too. Would you guys suggest anything else?

both of these maps are a great place to start. YABOT isn't finished by any means, and will only become more helpful with each release. Watch as many replays of good players, and watch day9 and try to be as much of a thoughthammer about your games as he is.

Are you guys planning on adding an incentive to scout? As it is I neglect scouting and simply pull a probe off the line. Any way to remedy this? Perhaps an option to randomize the BO that the AI has?
Also, does anyone have any better info regarding the types of units that should be attacking per wave? Each terran set up is set to send reapers and rauder/rines and these waves aren't accurate representations of the builds that use them. Any info on this would be appreciated.
And lastly, here's a 3 Rax opening
I couldn't edit the name of the build in the set up, otherwise it stops working. But basically, this is a standard terran opening with your 10 supply 12 rax 13 ref 15 oc, and from there you get two more rax and pump marauders and marines nonstop.

What can I do? It will also appear if I try to choose that build later.

I really think that the current 4 warpgate build in the map is inadequate. I am not saying that mine is perfect, but it is a huuuge improvement over what is currently in there. To me, not having that 2nd gas makes the 4 warpgate push bad against too many things since you wont have nearly enough gas income to pump stalkers or zeal/sentry.
I also dont really think that it is an all in since it pretty easily allows you to just put early pressure that can let you expand early or kill their early expand.

Encoded (at least one version of it from when he used qxc's tester). This is the opening right up to placing two queens on the ramp with two spine crawlers nearby to protect against ling/bling. The roach warren may be a bit late and I didn't put extractor timing in since that's so open to discussion.

At about 4:20 RT you have 7 units (if you opted to proxy pylon, you have 7 units at his base since you get a full cycle in right as warpgates finish) and 4 warpgates pumping (so at ~4:50 RT you have 11 units).

It never makes a unit before the first phoenix and it wants you to make a 3rd assimilator in the 20 supply range, and only build pylons before your stargate. It left me with about 5-600 minerals at its completion =\ Yeah, the chat entry is limited right now to 255 characters... so it won't work for most build orders unfortunately. Someone mind helping me with the *proper* way to defend against the 4 gate rush as a terran? I'm finding this difficult on most maps ... I've been able to hold it a few times, but just barely ... I feel like I'm missing something ...

Yeah, the build is terrible. It's not missing a gateway, the 3rd gateway is supposed to come later, but the build in the teamliquid wiki is wrong. It wants you to do:

I'm looking for good FE builds and good PvZ builds right now, so I made that build to try out in YABOT. It's an OK opening, but this is my tl:dr explanation on why I don't think it's too great: + Show Spoiler +The main part of the opening is just 1 gate early pressure, then expand at around 29. It works against a greedy Z that tries to fast expand with minimal defense or who tries to 1 base tech without first getting roaches, or does both. For a slightly better variation, see the first 8 minutes of game #2. It's basically the same build, but with a late second gateway (at 32 in that case). Ignore what Day9 said, the build is not very safe the way White-Ra played it in those games. You generally have two options with this P opening: attack with your first few zealots with constant reinforcements, or mass up 6-8 zealots and then attack. Option 1, you push with your first 2-4 zealots: if your push does well, that's great, but you can't increase the pressure, so your push will die out. If your push fails, he will counter attack your probes and keep you busy for long enough to get roaches (see game 3). Regardless, you'll be playing blind, while he'll have full vision of your base. Your warpgate tech will be very very late and so he'll have a big timing window to exploit. You can't defend with only 1 production building and a forge at 32-36 if that's when his counter comes. All he has to do is feint with some threat and then back off and macro. So regardless of whether your push goes well or not, you need at least a second gate. Instead, you might want to try an early forge ( forge fast expand build). If you let him get his 6 lings inside your choke, you won't ever be able to kill them (you won't get your first stalker for about 9 minutes). And since you'll be playing blind, and he'll have his overlord (or two) chilling on top of your base. You won't see his roaches until they run over your base, so you'll have to prepare for them, but he'll see what you're doing and can choose to just tech, or pump roaches if you're spread too thin. Option 2, you wait for 7-8 zealots: the Z will delay making his army until the last minute because his safe overlord can park on top of your army. In this case you might as well just play the 3 Warpgate FE build that is already in YABOT 1.8. The 3 Warpgate build gets you much faster tech so you can get rid of the overlord in your base and prepare for roaches / hydras / mutas. It gets you warpgate tech about 5 minutes sooner! Comparing the two builds, the 1 gate will get you 8 zealots within 10 seconds of when the 3 warpgate build gets you 2 zealots, 2 stalkers, and 1 sentry. By the next production cycle, the 3 warpgate build will be ahead and if your push is going well, you can cut probe production (you'll be well saturated anyway) and ramp up army production even more. That increase in pressure is not an option with 1 gate. Conclusion: Everything that can happen in your favor pretty much happened to White-Ra in the first 8 minutes of game #2. Sen expands at 20, loses his first 6 zerglings without killing any zealots, makes 24 more zerglings (!), 2 queens, and a spine crawler, all of which die to White-Ra's 8 zealots + 2 reinforcements. And after all that, how much was White-Ra up? They were even on mineral income, with White-Ra having 2-3 extra probes on gas, but with no Cyber Core to spend it. And that's pretty much the best you'll do if an opponent has all day to maphax your base with his overlords. Now imagine what will happen if the Z makes a roach den (like game 3), or doesn't lose his zerglings/queens to bad micro, or makes one extra spine crawler, etc. So the 1 gate build relies more than anything on your opponent screwing up by not adapting, not microing, or not checking his maphax vision. IMHO to punish greedy zergs you should just do some kind of 2 gate early pressure build, or just do a normal 3 gate timing attack just after his expansion finishes (or 2 gate robo timing attack, or 3 gate robo, or 4 gate, or walloff+air, or warpgate into DT expand, or...).
If you still want to try out the build, this is my version of the game #2 variation: + Show Spoiler +9 pylon (outside your natural) 10 gate -> scout 11 chronoboost the nexus 13 pylon 14 zealot -> chronoboost constant zealot production until you tech 20 pylon 30 nexus 31 pylon 32 gateway (this is skipped in games 3 & 4) 34 forge 38 assimilator 39 assimilator cyber core and photon cannon whenever wanted stop zealot production and start chronoboosting probes use your judgement and make things earlier or later depending on the situation My fastest game: 3 zealots out @ 3:42 5 zealots out @ 4:35 8 zealots out @ 6:15
It's hard to know how strong it is without a human opponent, but compared to 2gate it doesn't feel good enough to justify the slow slow tech. If anyone thinks that I'm wrong and that the 1 gate build is actually awesome, let me know what I've missed.

After running this through the encoder to update it one of the steps shows up as 20supply/70min/89gas - @2:55. Nothing is listed to be built/researched/trained, and those resource counts don't allow much to be done. Is that when the Reaper is supposed to scout/harass?

can someone please put up the BO for the (TvZ 1Barracks Fast Expand). On another note for some reason I am having problems adding BO's to the YABOTsettings I used to be able to do it with ease now it will not even show up

So im testing my 1 1 1 fast raven opening vs protoss 4 gate shizzle. AND SUDDENLY he comes pushing in with stalkers AND vikings which instantly takes down my raven...
So my question is, wtf is up with the vikings when testing builds against protoss...? They dont do jack, just fly and stay above you CC. And its in any kinda build test as terran vs toss.
Just seems strange and very annoying.

Don't load the BO's ingame. Instead go to Documents/Blizzard/Starcraft II/Banks and open the YabotSettings.SC2Bank file with TextEdit (good idea to make a backup of this file in case you screw anything up).
Find the BO you want, for example:

Sorry, don't know how better to explain that - I'm a bit html retarded! But copy what you get on the encoder and it'll all be good!
Go back to you open bank file and paste this between the " " on the <Value string="......." line. Save, load Mapcraft, and it should be there in your available BO's. Kinda long process to load them in initially, but worked like a charm for me. If anyone know a quicker way I'd love to hear it! Let me know if I can be of anymore help!

Have a slight problem. Everytime I encode this and edit this into the bank file, it causes Yabot to load with the default bank file with the default BO's and the BO's that I put in does not show up in the list. Is there anyway to fix this or find out whats causing this problem?

Well the top one is the raw one i got from the first post in the thread. Put that into xorpwnz encoding tool which gives me the second one which you have to use when editing the bank file. I think you used to be able to paste the -cb one while in game but it was taken out and you have to edit the bank file manually now it seems.

Could you please email me your bank file to ben.mcintosh@usc.edu? In the past there have been problems with character encoding. Are you just using notepad to edit the bank file?

I think there are builds where you get the Expo in early and put down 1-2 crawlers in time too which is good.

De-lurking to note that I got the above build to work when pasted into the bank file - I replaced the ´ in "Zerg´s" with a standard ' and that seems to have done the trick.

Does anyone have a YabotSettings.SC2Bank file with Terran builds a newer player can use to build skills? I've tried putting in the builds on TL Wiki but Im spending more time inserting, possibly incorrectly, into YABOT than I am playing and practicing.

itgl72 here is my bank file, I only updated the T BO's. Just cut and paste the whole thing into your YabotSettings.SC2Bank using notepad.
The issue with converting using the online tool is you cannot use "hyphens" or it will reset to the org.

Hi.
I´ve downloaded YABOT 1.2 a few days ago and had already much fun with it along with getting nice build order experience. But i got a huge problem ... i found some nice custom BOs here in the thread and elsewhere and i have been trying to get them into YABOT for hours without any success. For some reason i cant handle the YABOT bank syntax i guess ... dont really know. Everytime i start YABOT after pasting an custom BO in one of the slots it isnt visible in the YABOT advanced menu and if i check the bank file after leaving SC2 its fully set back to empty bank file. What am I doing wrong ?
Help would be appreciated.

1) Copy the encoded build order
2) Look for custom slot 0 or 1 or 2 etc for the race of the build order you want.
3) After the " in the custom slot, delete the standard code in there and put in the encoded build, at the end of the build there should be a "
4) Save file. Play

With your help and with reading some of the other posts here in the thread again as well i managed to get the custom BOs into my YABOT. I dont know what i did wrong the last times so that it screwed up but now its finally working.

I've copied your entire bankfile and replaced everything inside mine with it..
but somehow every time i load yabot up, it defaults back to the default.. but with 3 freestyle builds saved.. also i can only see custom slot 0-1-2. (these are my old attempts at freestyle.
Even though i've removed the old file.

Even though i've removed the old file. Are you trying to update the multiplayer map bank files? This is not yet possible because it needs a much shortened encoding. For now you can only enter builds into the multiplayer map by recording a build order from freestyle.

Thing is I'm having trouble getting the custom build orders to come up in the list in the map. Can't add any new BO's. I've looked around and followed your instructions the best I could interpret them:
I opened up the YabotSettings.SC2bank file - pasted in the code under the 'Terran' section - saved it - started the map and looked for the BO. Nothing.
Here's the first example of my code (the BO's I am trying to use were taken directly from your thread on the TL forum):

It's such a nice tool too practice builds, but I've a little problem : the AI doesn't play at all. For exemple, I wanna train a specific BO for PvZ, I choose it, set zerg's random build for the AI, and it doesn't matter which difficulty I choose, the Z AI will just make a spawning pool, one (or 2) zerglings, and that's all. So, what's the problem ? Actually if I want to practice a specific build against another specific build, I can't, and it's frustrating (I can't play online since I live too far away from school, so I've to stay there all week, I can play only week-ends).
EDIT : Well, I found what is doesn't work : I've haven't checked the "Exclude Custom Builds" box, so if the AI chose one empty slot, well, it won't play.
