Colors a little bland in SC2?

Hey guys. I was just wondering if anyone else thought that the unit color highlights seem a bit bland in SC2. They are definately much more sublte. Personally I liked the bolder color highlighting of BW. When you wanted to play red Zerg you were OMFG and blazing river of RED F'ing Zerg. I also find the subtle colors make spectating a bit harder, and even less exciting for me. I can understand from an artisitic stand point what the modelers may have had in mind but I do feel it has taken a bit of fun out of the game.

What do you guys think?

Terran buildings and units display the different colors pretty well, but zerg definitly are the worst at that aspect. The units are all brown and the color is only visible at few buildings. Protoss are somewhere in the middle.
Well i guess it fits zerg much better to be a brown, dark color instead of purple zerglings as in SC1.

You will get used it to eventually. Have your graphics settings on low if you are really that nit picky about it.

Considering the colours used to be waaaaaaay brighter and everyone was like "OMG CARTOONY".... and then they changed it, I doubt it's going to change again ;p

I just wish there were options for when you shift tab (not the same hotkey in sc2) to change player/map colors. To designate them all how you see fit. So I could be black and set enemy to yellow (and ofc enemy doesn't see this, they do the same how they want). And do the same thing for 2v2s, 3v3s etc. The player colors thing gets really screwed up in team games, especially since some of the colors look the same and it's hard to differentiate between people (I know they patched this a while back, but I still feel they didn't do it well enough). I'd like to set enemies to like red, yellow, magenta and my team to blue, green, purple (dark vs light).

I don't like being red and blue every game in 1v1, (this might just be beta only) but then the only other option is to change urself to green and enemy to red.

This might not be a very good solution for colorblind people as well, I know there was a big thread on that before.

But I'd like to switch it up from time to time, kinda gettin sick of green.

Ya I pretty much just stick to Zerg, and I think you are right. Some zerg colors can be hard to make out. It makes those team games a bit tricky.

Since I'm color blind, this is quite annoying. I can see the colors if they are clear enough, but some of they have now is very hard to differentiate

they definitely don't show enough; the only unit on the zerg that shows color is the ovvy and the infestor =/ Protoss are all right for the most part but units like the immortal could use some love

Can't have it both ways guys, either it's subdued and realistic, or bright and cartoony.

if u look at the early screenshots of starcraft 2 the graphics seem much more vibrant and outstanding.
Colours were alot alot sharper.
