I really liked Blizzard's position on teaming up with Gom, and that made me hopeful for the esports aspect of SC2. But then they go and talk about denying us these truly simple features like it's nothing? They chose the wrong guy to send to that interview, and Blizzard's making a lot of bad decisions.

I was planning on making this my first game from Blizzard i ever bought (pirated every single other game and couldn't be bothered with WoW) but after seeing this i won't pre-order and if BNet 2.0 still sux at release i won't buy it at all. Ppl like you make me hate mankind. Greedy fat fucks. YES WE FUCKING WANT CHAT CHANNELS. NO WE WON'T USE FACEBOOK TO CHAT. People like you make me hate mankind. Either spend your money and purchase the game. Or don't spend your money and don't play the game. Don't steal the game, then get mad at a company because they cater more to people who pay for the game. Half the reason they don't have LAN play is because of fucks like you stealing the game and ruining it for all of us paying customers. Clearly forcing you to log in to BNET2.0 is an attempt to reduce pirating. That being said, I of course completely hate the direction that BNET 2.0 is taking. Jesus christ... Allow cross server play at the very least, fix the friend system and add chatrooms. Then people will stop bitching so much.

They make you log in with a CD-key and for some reason none of mine seem to work. I even tried to ones they give you at battle.net when you add games, and no avail there either. I wanted to type out a nice long detailed constructive post explaining why they are fucking. You cannot vote yes on that TL poll about the direction of B.net 2.0 on the way tournaments must be handled alone. There is no good way to do that. What about clans? They will add clans later? Why is this not one of the first features added? What are they thinking!

That certainly got a response out of EA quickly, and it would probably work against Blizzard as well. THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to make a petition, and an account on every SC2 site out there and hopefully get something done about this bullshit. I'll add the petition to this post when its done. Better open a new thread with the petition... i'm in.

But the other 99% of us do pay and like you said do want certain things...

Dont think for a second piracy is limited just to the PC, its only easier. That said, no way in hell im payin a dime to blizzard for such a crappy excuse of a decade long awaited game. Besides, there are other ways to combat piracy without removing LAN functionality, but you know what? Blizzard wont incorporate them. So does anyone know when KOTOR MMO is suppose to come out? that is seemingly more appealing right now..

So many people were like "FUCK INFINITY WARD, GONNA BOYCOTT THIS SHIT". And then when the game was released, a screenshot surfaced of everyone in the "boycott mw2" steam group shown playing modernwarfare 2. Pretty much showed all the boycotters to be a bunch of childs. The problem is, the actual game of starcraft 2 is still intact, and lets face it, its a pretty fun game. People who say they will boycott it will still buy it as the game is still there. It is just going to leave this awfully hollow feeling when we log into b.net 2.0 and see this sterile environment. Agreed No matter how much retarded these decision look, it's still worth buying.

I just checked the date, hoping it is the 1. of april... I've bought all of Blizzard's PC games but I really don't think I will buy SC2 if all this shit is for real. No chat rooms? How am i supposed to hook up with some nice people I don't know yet? Facebook for playing with friends? Don't have an account, never will. Especially not for playing a game. If I want to know their game ID and meet them online i just call them up and ask... Having to buy US client when I want to play after night shift and European servers are dead? WTF

Blizzard, I am disappoint. Seriously, please dont do the thing you fucking killed WoW with, I was a WOW Junkie throughout all of TBC, then you make wotlk and I hardly never play it. SC:BW and WC3 still provides LOADS of fun... I have no count of how many of my friends there I got from a friendly chat in game at an UMS map. Now "UMS" maps has taken over Wc3 battlenet and SC:BW is only played on Korean maps, made by people who actually know the game. Really much of this didnt make sense but I am so fucking disappointed that behind my favorite game firm which consume 50% of my youth fucking chooses to ignore the whole community. WE KNOW, that "SOME" employees from blizzard reads TL.net WE KNOW that tl.net is recognized as the largest sc: bw site in the world. WE KNOW that tl.net provides all sort of info. From raging casuals as me. To the ignorants. To those who really should sit behind that design desk because they have a better grip of what the game's balance should be right now. Not saying that all blizzard employees are mindless boneheads but this guy, ew, I think he is just looking throughout youtube comments and forums.wow-europe.com/starcraft and thinks "F**K YEAH!" Seriously, if you dont make those chat rooms, sc2 will fail. Not because that sc2 chatrooms decides anything whatsoever. But because it will become symbolic for the rest of the community, which will just see employees who ignorantly piss in their eyes and refuses to grant them what kept them in the community... Aka chatrooms - and cross realsm. Back when I was wc3 active I regularily checked the US: East server for games there when there werent any on the EU server. The clanbots would work together, tellin if a game was hosted on US the EU players in the supportive clan channel would know. If blizzard doesnt implement both it will be really, really worse. Besides that critique I will still play the single player like a maniac, because that sadly looks more appealing than the multiplayer to me after this intervirew full of BS which I thought I left behind with world of warcraft.
