To most people, that would be a sign to stop and have a look at what you are doing...
So what? Out of this 96%, 99% will go and buy that game anyway.... ;-D

Actually blizzard is an awesome company and all of this is fully explainable because they want more money. Getting money means better games from them, so we should give up game quality to get better game quality.
I really hope that we can avoid pointless grinding and just buy items in diablo 3 straight from a marketplace, or that we have the option of buying cow level runs.
Cheers :3. I think Blizzard should just stop making pc games and focus on making facebook application games! StarVille here I come!

PSN and XBL are global communities. It's a laughable statement. The vast majority probably don't care about region locking, Blizzard probably see those that do care and are actually going to purchase multiple copies as complete suckers. They say it themselves - no cross region play, can't use a key across different clients but it's fine and dandy, if you pay for an extra copy.
His excuse is that the game is in 3d now. You have to transfer 3 dimensions across the internet, that's not possible with today's technology!!

Yeah, it seems like I'll just not buy SC2 at all, the idiots have no idea what makes a good game. The game itself is bland and boring and uninnovative, bnet 2.0 functionality is like from 1993 and the developers seem to have brain cancer.
I do not see any hope in this. I hope every gamesite crushes this game with like a 6/10 and they wonder wtf went wrong.

This is the most upsetting thing I've ever read on the internet.
The entire fucking internet.
Ever.
Do you really want chat rooms????
Why didn't the interviewer say, "Hi, my name is EARTH, have we met?"

I don't want to fucking play on a server where 90% of the people I face don't speak English and there's no chat rooms to chat with the 10% who do!!!! FUCK. And if Australians did connect to US servers, I'm sure you'd be complaining about terrible lag. What do you want Blizz to do? Fix the Internet? And the conspiracy theories is referring to those talking about Blizz selling what games you have on your account to facebook.
Oh, I get it now. You're just stupid. Because pings to Southeast Asia are WORSE than to the US from here. US West was FINE for WC3 and SC.

So I hear piratebay.com is still around and kicking...
And I also hear that a private server will be coming up soon.

Do you really want chat rooms?
THEY HAVE TO ASK THIS QUESTION?! Really?! I mean cmon people have been making threads about it NON-STOP on fan forums and blizzard forums. Do they really not realize that the community is crying out to them???
And no, we don't want freaking WoW LFG channels. I want freaking Clan channels, I want a place to sit down and talk about the game without having to launch mIRC.
Blizzard, WTF.

blizzard always prides themselves on not releasing a game til it's finished but i feel like this is definitely not the case for starcraft2.
sure the game might be finished, but anyone in beta has seen the terrible quality of battlenet. it really looks like an unfinished game at this point.
|
While reading this...Absolutely NOTHING got me excited for battle.net 2.0...the ladder system, chat rooms, confirmation of NO LAN!, and region restrictions.
I really hope this is fake for the sake of SC2

I've played with many Aussies in SC, WC3 and WoW, almost all of whom experienced lag in some form or another, some more significant than others. And yes, personal attacks really help illustrate your point.

I'm so angry that I have to post again.
Why to no Chat Channels? only the MILLIONS OF PEOPLE that logged onto SC1 use Chat Channels. It's a freaking SC exclusive social network. For people to talk to each other, stranger or not. Why is it so hard to just add it? They'll be angering so many people on something so easy to implement.
No Cross-region is terrible. While it does not hugely affect me since all my friends live in US or Canada, I can see this presenting a huge issue for a lot of people. Thank god they didn't separate US and Canada or I'll be really pissed. I just hate how Blizzard blatantly lies and try to hide the fact that they just want our money.
No option for LAN is still just absolutely mind boggling. Do they honestly believe they can prevent hackers from cracking the game? Almost everything in the world has been cracked and SC2 is most likely not going to be any different. Now, I'm not promoting piracy at all. But this decision ultimately only hurt the consumers that want to LAN, and while it does not stop the hackers at all.
|
I'm no longer buying sc2.
|
before the rage sets in guys, at least be thankful that he's being honest...
now, we should all just sit in front of their main offices and protest with signs and guns.
"YES WE FUCKING WANT CHAT CHANNEL, HAVE THE COMMUNITY NOT MADE IT CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YOU TO SINK IT IN?"

This should seriously become a Perma-Front-Page fixture on TL until something gets done about it. If TL just spent an article a week detailing the problems with Bnet 2.0 (obvious ones like chatrooms, inability to run tournaments with foreigners, etc) and made a big deal out of it over and over, Blizzard would at least have to pretend to fix things.
Seriously, this is a case where I feel the community (and TL by extension) is obligated to pool together and refuse to shut up until something gets done. Yes, it's a product and we choose to buy it, but they are choosing to release a shit product when they have the ability to do better and we need to make it very clear that is unsatisfactory.
I really think a regular article rotation of "Bnet 2.0 disconnects" or something similar would help an enormous amount. Of course it wouldn't be the most interesting front page content, but it could go far towards keeping awareness of the issues at the forefront of everyones' minds.
|
HOW HARD can it be to implement Chat rooms................ ffs Blizzard, you're losing popularity points over stupid bullcrap.
|
Blizzard just looked into the dictionary of what a community is... and based 2.0 solely on that
DEFINITION of "COMMUNITY" -Facebook
"Hey lets put Facebook on Bnet"
... they've earned that 96% dissatisfaction from teamliquid's "community"
