Wow, this interview... it just... left me speechless. I cannot believe what I'm reading. How could Blizzard do such a 180 degree heel turn in developing user-friendly and pro-community games. I mean, Browder's been dodging questions, trying to not to let us down too hard, kept saying "maybe, I dunno" etc, but Pierce and that other guy, just straight up rammed our faces into the concrete on the ground here.
Well, I've got to say I'm very disappoint. Looking forward to hackers/crackers and 3rd party programs then.

What was that quote that Leia said in Star Wars 4, the more you tighten your grip the more star systems that will slip through the cracks of your fingers or whatever?
For me I'm going back to SC1 if thats the case. The whole cross-realm thing is ludicrous, cross-world interaction is a also a draw to getting a game like Starcraft 2. Look at SC1, when Koerans started to get really good, a lot of other people wanted to be able to play with Koreans so that they could get better and interact with them at the same time. I can't believe this...

All I can think of is this basicly, it must be one big joke....

Well, StarCraft II is rapidly shaping up to be the first ever Blizzard game I will not be buying, unless of course some1 comes up with iCCup 2.0 or Blizz come to their senses on a number of issues.

Yea, that game was called Starcraft 1.

Meh, I could care less about chat rooms. This is an RTS game, not an MMO.

DB looks just like troll guy in this:
No Chat Channels, Integrated Facebook, and No Cross Real Play.

This is so sick. How is it possible.
What the FUCK are they doing?
I can't buy this game, I'd hate myself forever for promoting it.

Wow, im so angry right now. in this interview its seem like blizzard gives a shit about what the fans really want.
Well, if we've done our job right in terms of the matchmaking service, then hopefully they won't feel like they'll need it (chatrooms) for that service. the chatrooms are mostly for social contacts, so that you dont feel like one of a few guys playing the game.
also i dont know what illusions blizzard has about the ladder system. no one gives a shit about his placement in some random division. there is absolutly no prestige involved. and the analogy to a soccer league is a bit wrong. in such a league you only play against the teams of that league, so there is more competition involved. in the current ladder system you play against players from other, even lower or higher, divisons.
and with preventing players from playing on other servers they only making it more difficult to arrange international tournaments.

this is HORRIBLE. i used to play on the european wc3 realm for great practice, since european wc3 players were much better than americans. now i wont be able to do this with sc2? looks like this is just a scheme to get some people to buy multiple version, korean, european, etc. how will people play clan matches etc? this is fucking retarded.

This is like getting a phone call from that hot girl you were friends with in high school asking you out, only to find out she turned into a drug addicted prostitute

Relax with the conspiracy theories, take a step back and keep things in perspective. What conspiracy theories are you talking about? We're pissed at the things he himself mentioned. I don't want to fucking play on a server where 90% of the people I face don't speak English and there's no chat rooms to chat with the 10% who do!!!! FUCK. And if Australians did connect to US servers, I'm sure you'd be complaining about terrible lag. What do you want Blizz to do? Fix the Internet? And the conspiracy theories is referring to those talking about Blizz selling what games you have on your account to facebook. Why couldn't they do it bnet 1.0 style? I mean its not like the internet has gone worse during these times, Australians had perfectly fine time at the US servers.

How can he say the technology isn't there for a global community? Players were able to play worldwide 10 years ago on SC, Diablo and WC. PSN and XBL are global communities. It's a laughable statement. The vast majority probably don't care about region locking, Blizzard probably see those that do care and are actually going to purchase multiple copies as complete suckers. They say it themselves - no cross region play, can't use a key across different clients but it's fine and dandy, if you pay for an extra copy.

Wow I was hoping it was fake too. I really didn't like the tone, never-mind the answers :/.
It almost seemed like they were frustrated too lol.

what a bunch of clowns. i predict upheaval and perhaps even sc2 failure. i cant wait to play on hacked version private servers with russians and chinese.

Its 2011. 4 Players remain in the Tamagochi TSL Season 10. White Ra - Ukraine Nony - USA Idra - Korea TLO - Germany
Do i tell these players they need to buy 2 more copies of starcraft 2 in order to play each other? Or do i encourage them to break Blizzard's ToS by sharing accounts in order to play?
I know Blizzard keeps saying they are here to support esports but....maybe someone should do some investigation into the needs of people who run/take part in these events instead of just telling us "this is what you need ".

Battle 2.0 is like playing World of Warcraft with only /party and /whisper and with you being the only person in the whole WoW universe, except for when you enter instances.

whats hilarious is that even though we will get the south east asian game, we will be paying 100AUD for it, for our friends in america that is 90 USD, for a game that i KNOW will be sold in thailand for 60AUD at most ! and that we will ping better to america anyways , cos we'd prolly route through singapoare to get there ...
Wow, that's a bunch of crap.
And I'm seriously regretting preordering the Collector's Edition. Who wants to have collector memorabilia from a piece of shit?
