4.2 (Chinese) is out! - Support all versions of sc2! No matter what version you upgraded to, you can still use SC2Manager - Added 0.16-0.17 Single player replay capabilities! - ^don't totally understand. Direct translation = "Because 0.18 replays cannot be replayed, therefore choosing AI will recognizes 0.16.1, a better edition" - Greatly edited the APM graph interface. Provides detailed analysis and immediate curve analysis. - Added RPG map recommendation functionality - Fixed a minor problem where exiting the AI manager taking 10 seconds. - Added the new edition of sc2manager user's manual - Added new AIs such as GreenTea0.49, Race0.49, DarkTea, etc
Note: Autoupdate from 4.1,1 to 4.2 seem to be causing some problems. Download this instead:
Here's an Asian launcher which I've been using to play and watch replays when BNet has been down and confirm that it works with the new patch. A previous version I had was set to English for some reason, but the updated one is completely in Chinese. There is a menu to change the language but it doesn't seem to work in either version as far as I can tell. The AIs that come with this launcher are also pretty damn good if you use the most recent ones.
Important: Stay away from the tools tab as one of the functions can corrupt your game files and cause you to have to reinstall.
Here are screenshots of the English version so you can use it as a guide for the updated one to access the replay manager and get it running: Main window Replay window
Also, if there's interest I'll take some screenshots of the single player launcher screen in English as well.
Thanks for the launcher, downloading it now. Also, nice work with distorting the entire page with the obscenely long URL. I never knew you could do that.

On Teamliquid, I'd say that the ability to view replays is considered more important than meeting the to-the-letter TOS or bearing false guilt about "enabling" "piracy" - especially considering the importance of the HDH tournament.
Also, 2 months ago this program would not be as useful as it currently is - replay viewing from patch 12 and under is borked.

Quite. Pirating something that isn't actually commercially available yet is the very definition of victimless crime (and in many countries, victimless civil matter).
If Blizzard can't fix their own software then commentators need to find workarounds.
Also, after using SC2 Manager and having no success, I tried launching from the usual SC2Beta executable again. It forced me to download the latest patch again, but then told me there was a CRC error on battlenet.dll (or similar). From looking up this solution you have to do one of the following:
1) Delete ...SC2Beta\Mods\SC2.Mod\Backup.mpq (didn't work for me, works for some others) 2) Reinstall the entire game
Bleh. I have to go back through downloading all the patches now because I tried this damn program
Funny how Blizzard's systems intended to prevent piracy end up actually helping it. Without Bnet being so restrictive, the developer of this, who has no intent to pirate the game, would not have made this. And although it is not intended to help piracy, it will. I'm sure that the methods that someone used to make these replays work will be applicable to other aspects of the game.
Blizzard prevents 3rd party tools that modify internal SC2 files.
My understanding is that this does not. File readers not = file write. I don't know what's on the "tools" tab, but from the screenshots, this looks exactly like a replay parser with a command to open the correct SC2 version based on the "version" text that is embedded in every single replay... Then again, if something in the tools tab modifies MPQ's, then that specific function is illegal. The program itself is not. "Illegal" is a very loose term, and by which i mean "violates the blizz ToS", and not actually "illegal"...just following the thread trends.
Don't believe me? There are tools that come with SC2. SC2versionswitcher.exe (i believe? Or similarly named). Additionally every single patches exe is backed up on your computer, that's the only reason you're able to launch old replays from other patches through SC2 in the first place...this could easily be accomplished with a version switcher. Doesn't have to modify anything.
To the person that had to reinstall sc2 entirely-you probably used one of the tools. Again, the tools could have "illegal" functions, such as camera zoom modifier, or maphack, who knows. Don't use them, that was your bad...
In other words...
Thank you OP, for this link. You're awesome.
Edit: Now I know what program this is. The above holds true, just don't use the camera modifier tool.
It was tough to tell what button did what at first. I just tried a few of the different buttons to see if I fcould figure it out on my own. Ended up having to look back at the screenshots for the right button.
Yes, my bad for using this tool without reading about it properly. However, a warning that usage of one of the tools results in corrupting your original SC2 program should have beeen mentioned ahead of time.

Actually it is the only working tool i have tested with latest patch so far! More to say it shows almost all important info you need to know before run the particular replay.
Somehow this no longer works for me since patch 14. This program, aswell as the method to drag&drop replays onto the sc2.exe starts sc2 just fine for me, the loading bar fully loads, but it stays in the fully loaded state for ~20 sec before it crashes. Strangely, few seconds before it crashes it makes my dvd drive go crazy for a few seconds (like, max rpm it can do). Anyone who had these problems and was able to fix them? Both this program and the drag&drop method used to work for me before patch 14.
There already is a perfectly fine working english launcher of this sort - starcrack allin1 launcher. Blizzard already almost sued starcrarck though, so I'm pretty positive it's illegal.
You can still watch replays and play custom ai maps by dropping on the sc2 executive icon though, so this doesn't really provide much functionality above what blizzard gives you for free with the beta anyway. Not sure why they cared so much.
This thing works, if you follow the instructions correctly. I went through all my newest replays and nothing after June 1st is working with the version that Bane_ posted. All the old patches seem to work just fine so far, though.
He has updated it again to 4.0 which should be patch 16 compatible (edit - only for playing offline it seems, not for watching replays)! It's a shame it takes almost half an hour to download.
I can't figure out what I'm supposed to click. I'll go to the replay menu, double click on a replay, then I have option to click yes or no, if I click yes this pops up: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v80/cloaked/replayerror.jpg and after I click 'ok' I'm taken to a line chart of apm. How do I view the replay itself (I have vs4.0)?

I'm having the same issue. If anyone has resolved it, please post here.
I get the same issue with replays from patch 15 and 16, all earlier versions work however aside from a few cases where I don't have the map in my cache.
Ok replay's from patch 14 work with this tool, but not from patch 15 or 16. I thought this was supposed to work with patch 16. -_-
Edit: checked the source web page via translator, it says their replay analysis charts work with the latest patch, but it doesn't say the replay's themselves work.
If anyone finds a working patch 15/16 replay viewer, please post in this thread!
Here's a series of screenshots from the English version. Note that this version is so old, it won't completely match up, but it should be good enough for you to get an idea of how 4.0 works:
Front menu:
Replay menu:
Singleplayer menu:
Tools menu (don't mess with anything here unless you know exactly what you're doing) :
A note on buttons. "Normal Game" just opens up the SC2 client normally, so there's nothing you need to know about that. In the tools menu, changing the language gives some incomprehensible error, and other than that, I'm in the dark.

Yeh, it counters your build pretty good but be careful, it likes to rush a lot. E.g zerg always goes 6pool versus protoss and the AI also cheats by knowing your army size/build without having vision. So if you tech DTs he'll start on ravens and puts up turrets.

I had this working last night for patch 15 replays, took a nap and woke up and now it doesnt work. WTF?
Anyone able to get patch 15 replays to work? I'm having the same problems as the others listed here. It works on some old replays but not on patch 15...
Im having similar problems, not sure if it is the launcher or my game files. Every time i try and load a replay via SC2Gears, SC2Allin1, SC2manager (all current versions afaik) or just dragging and dropping, the client fires up and gets to 100% loaded (slowly) then crashes to desktop. And then i use the opportunity to chew out blizzard with the "what were u doing when it crashed" BS... Anyone know a fix? a work around? anything? So far as i can tell no replays will load regardless of the version # when the game was played. ^ hope that made sense lol Edit: FIRST POST!
I seldom feel proud for being Chinese, but my "comrades" really did a good job in making these programmes.
Just want to to let you guys know, the AIs have cheats and they have much more resources than normal. Do not base your timing push on them, they always have more marines than my zerglings...
StarCraft II Beta -- Patch 14 (version 0.16.0.15580) StarCraft II Beta – Patch 15 (version 0.17.0.15623)
Sorry for the confusion. The manager should try to upgrade itself every time you launch it.
The actual homepage of sc2manager is http://blog.sina.com.cn/xuyy0618 However since 4.1.1 is only a minor update you can only get it via the automatic update. Make sure your firewall is not blocking it.
If there is a need I can upload my version of the 4.1.1 client later tonight.

Is this supposed be run in any folder, or does it have to be in your starcraft beta folder? When I run it, after it installs and updates, no window shows up but I can see it in the task bar.
Can some one please post a way to use this program? what steps need to be taken in order to watch a replay? where does it need to be installed to? This is all in Chinese and i cant read the blog, even the translator is of little use with the broken translation... i have been trying every piece of software i can find in order to watch replays... nothing is working.
I am running v3.6.2 (thats what it says on my sc2m window)
Every time i load a replay of any version i get kicked to the desktop with the send error report window. Do i need to reinstall my client? are my maps in the wrong folder? i mean really... whats the scoop with this? why can everyone else use it but not me?
Starting to get really frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Either respond here or PM me please.
I can't seem to figure out how to get it to do anything useful, like play any of the replays. I hit what I believe is "start" and it just shows me an APM chart.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but keep trying all the replays. Eventually they started working for me. Not sure what the fix or problem is, but don't give up after only checking a few.
1) Are you using my upload? [url blocked] 2) Make sure the replay is not v0.18.0.15655. 0.18 replays automatically pops up the APM chart (since sc2manager doesnt support .18 replays yet - blame blizzard). 3) Make sure to run as administrator under vista
I just got this working I was getting an error message when trying to launch a patch 15 (0.17) replay. I then booted up SC.exe and exited tried again and worked must be some problem with how SC2manager references the executable. Hope this helps anyone having trouble

Confirming that this version works for reps up to and including patch 15. (Patch 15, not "version 15". Patch fifteen. Just to clarify!)
(I have not yet tested any patch 16 reps, since I don't want to watch my last few games from 16.)
The old version in the OP did not work for me, but Hikari's updated link does work perfectly for me, including the recommended replays tab and replays from other servers. Thanks!
I seem to have sorted a way to get it working. Hopefully it works for you guys too:
1. Open SC2Manager. 2. Open the Replay Manager in SC2Manager but DON'T attempt to open any replays yet. 3. While having the Replay Manager window open, launch Starcraft 2 manually (ie, from your regular shortcut) 4. Close Starcraft 2. 5. Select a replay and NOW run it.
This seems to have fixed everything for me. I have found that unless I do this there will be an idle SC2 process in task manager opened by the manager.
Artosis' new replay pack all seem to be v0.18.0.15655. 0.18. When I try to open them, I get the APM graphs. However, some people seem to have had some luck watching them. Any suggestions? I downloaded the official version of SC2 manager which updated as soon as I ran it.
Edit: OK, not all his replays are those version. Those just won't work. The others are fine!
Still having a problem with patch 15 replays. The Launcher opens SC2, loads halfway, and then I get an error (in SC2) stating "Unable to Open Replay" - sucks to be me I guess.

I had the same problem with replays in automatically saved in My Documents (I assume yours are there too?).
Solution A) Copy all your replays into a new folder not in My Documents (worked for me). Solution B) Miss out on all the replays you already have, but download new ones off TL into a new directory (better than nothing).
what can i do if the chinese version hikari uploaded (4.11) doesnt find any replays? it shows my replay folder to be completely empty, wich it certainly is not. an fix for this ?
You can drag and drop your replays into the program. Just open your replay folder and open the window on the program that supposedly lists the replays. Then drag the replays from your folder into the program.

I reinstalled SC2 and now all I get when I try to open replays WITHOUT the launcher is a black screen and cursor, and when I try to open them WITH the launcher is asks me yes/no and if I say yes, it downloads something then opens SC2, which crashes before loading the replay. If I say no, it just stops everything.
I think maybe I'm missing maps ? But I tried to fix my cache folder. I'm so lost...

Thanks Hikari, I had downloaded the latest version from the creator's blog and I was getting "unable to load replay" errors, but when I downloaded this version it worked! Much appreciated.
On the dev blog: Since the english version has not been updated for a while, the releasing of the english version of 4.1.1 would be postponed until tomorrow (keep time zone differences in mind).

Have you been using the single player with another AI? This happened to me. I just switched started a game with the base ai and it worked again.
Im using 4.1.1 but I cant get 0.18 neither 0.17 files to work. (ie, not a single one from Artosis rep. pack). I find it strange that others can, I dont get that at all? We are using the same program after all. Im using Vista 64bitz, think that might be relevant?

It's possible the replay cannot be opened based upon which version of the game it came from. But also try running as administrator.

same here I am on Win7 64 bits.
Try running as administrator. Helped me get some replays to work.
After hours of struggling to get 4.1 to work again (after it worked a couple days ago, then stopped working later like others said), I figured out the problem.
SC2 Manager auto-updates when you run it and the update screws patch 15/16 replays up. All I had to do was delete the sc2 manager folder, unzip it again, disconnect my internet, then run it and it loads those reps just fine
minor update: the author has been busy working on 4.2 which supports single player replays so the 4.1.1 english version has been delayed. It will be release on the 18th!

Thanks for the update. Do you know where it will be posted ?
I am not going to look through 8 pages of responses so Where is the english vs? I downloaded it but it is all in chinese/question marks. Im so sorry such a fucking chobo noob.

Two posts above you.

I can't change the replay directory from "recent" - everytime I try, it just gives me an error.
So I tried to move the replays from the directory I wanted to view, into recent, and now it doesn't show any reps at all.
If I move the old reps back, they show up.
I dont get it I've clicked refresh, same error. Oh and I'm not on Win7, and I have admin rights so it doesnt sound like the same problem as outlined above :s
Hmm, my replay so far that wasn't working with the 3.6 chinese is working with the 4.1 english. after I double click the replay in replay manager it asked me to, what i assume is update, the replay manager, then it loaded the replay fine
I think theres an issue with win7 64bit. It seems like everyone is having problems with that, including me. Can anyone say if they managed to make it work with 64bit?
I am unable to watch patch 16 (i think) replays. It's the patch .18 something. When I try to open it, a little error box comes up in a different language. And then the program just crashes. Fixes??
I'm assuming that someone has this working on XP? When I try to open SC2 Manager (any version), no sort of dialog box or UI pops up, but you can see the task in the task bar. I would love to be able to watch replays during the downtime =\

I have it working on Win7 64bit.. I'll tell you how I got it going, but obviously if you didn't have the same issues as me then it probably won't help.
1. Update it either through the auto-update system, or by following one of Hikari's links. 2. If your replays are in My Documents and you are getting an error about them being inaccessible (or something like that, don't remember the exact error) then either shift them to a new location, or play them by drag and dropping them into SC2Manager. 3. If you have done the above 2 steps, but it is STILL not running, then try opening SC2Manager and going to the replay window. Now before doing anything else, run SC2 normally. Just open it and then close it. Having done that, try executing a replay from within the replay manager. If it is a patch 16 replay then you still may not have any success. Everything before patch 16 worked for me after doing the above steps.
1) No, you cannot use sc2.exe to watch replays. They broke it. 2) I discovered you need to run the game at least ONCE (with administration rights) so it can set up proper registries and such. Sc2 manager will use that information to locate sc2.exe. You can have starcraft installed anywhere on your computer - just make sure you run it at least once 3) Sc2 manager can be ran anywhere on your computer. It does take admin rights though. 4) Some have asked how I run the program in an english windows system. Check out AppLocale. It also works with windows7 but requires special installation process (google it)

Nope. I am not awared of any launcher programs/replay viewers for mac. Bootcamp windows? :p

Yay! Thank you. I ran sc2.exe with adminstration rights and now the replay launcher works for me.
1) you guys have to be less lazy and upload replays that you cannot watch so others can help you out 2) if you do not actually have an active beta/reinstalled/relocated sc2. You need to run sc2 at least once (with admin rights) so it sets up the registry and you will also need to download maps (which sc2m would try to do it for you if not blocked by firewall) 3) Read the various limitations: no single player replays post 0.16 (i think) and no multiplayer replays for 0.18. 4) You can navigate to various replay folders in the replay manager you know....
Little late to the party, but I finally got this to work after having it randomly work for only 1 day before. I was getting the "Unable to open replay" error for all patch 15 replays. For anyone still having problems, try re-unpacking SC2Manager from the zip file, and move any replays you want to view to a different file (I just made a new one on my desktop). I found the issue is if you try to open even a single replay from your SC2Beta/Recent folder it permanently screws the SC2Manager program up, and you will need to re-unzip. So you can either unzip it once and follow that or just unzip it each time you want to fire it up and watch replays.
Didn't need to turn off my internet, run the beta first, or try the Konami code to get it to work.
Would be nice of the OP was updated with the English link. Can't tell you how many times I've had to come here looking for the link because people in my stream want the English version but "Don't see the link in the thread".
Still can't get any newer reps to work. The ones I want to watch are 0.17, and it opens SC2 and says "unable to open replay"...They're all from the Zotac #14....here is one example:
Shortversion: I get an errormessage when trying to open Any replay.
Read all replys in this thread about 3 times, tried "everything" but are oviously failing in some point.
Im sitting on Windows Vista 64bit, SC2 v2.1.2.1406 and SC2Manager4.1.1English SC2 is installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II Beta, the manager is on my desktop in a folder i created myself.
I see the maps, chatlogs, analysis etc but when i try to "Start" one up 2 different scenarios happends.
Longversion: Ill try to explain solid what steps i've done:
1. Opening up SC2Manager with administrator rights. Getting an message where i click Yes which brings me to SC2Manager Professional V4.1.1manager where i click on "Replay Manager"
2. Opening up and closing SC2 with administrator rights.
3. Going back to that Replay Analysis and Replay recommendation-window, going into the Replay Information-tab and i've tried every single replay from the start (04-30) until patch 16games against some AI.
What happends:
If i try an old replay (Version 0.12.0.15133) It will bring me an errorcode saying weird letters and numbers, ending with ";-2"
And on some other maps, regardless on which version it is it downloads something in an extern window with a bar saying "Rate of progress" untill failing into the exakt same message with that ";-2" on the end.
The replays I am testing is 1vs1 and 2vs2 on standard SC2Maps, even tried 4vs4 although that didnt work out either.
I've tried to drag the replays onto the SC2Manager and into the Replay Analysis(when its open). Neither works.
When dropping onto sc2manager it just opens and nothing else happends, when dropping it onto the ReplayAnalysis nothing at all happends.
If i tell the replays to auto-open with SC2Manager the same thing happends as when i drop it onto the .exe.
Even started to be thinking that the version of my SC2 was the one screwing up things since i've reinstalled it just to try thatone out although it says "there is no patch file to apply" when hitting the Blizzard Updater.
Anyone who just got any tiny, tiny, litle clue just shoot! Everything appreciated!

Your problem is Cache. Go to Setup Tab and press Clear Cache After this the tool will download the correct map for you.
You may want to backup your cache before although i never need it back.

Try to read better :-) Is the strange error saying blabla "AI" blabla -2
That means you have the wrong AI, you changed the AI, you have to put the AI that you used for that replay.

Thanks for the reply. I've clicked "Clear Cache" a few times now, with no luck. Any other ideas?
Im really starting to think that my version of SC2 is the prob, although it says that i've got the latest updates. Do you got 2.1.2.1406 aswell?.. although that siegetanknerf from 60 to 50 was in my log when installing...
I tried [url blocked] The 1st time I load it I needed to download the map, and SC2 gave me a cannot load map error. I am curious, maybe firewall is blocking the map download? I tried again and this time it worked perfectly. I am using the chinese 4.1.1 version client. Running on win7 64 bit.
If you are desperate, set your system locale to simplified chinese and I will tell you what the error reads :p. Alternatively you can use applocale (you will have to install applocale using a command prompt with admin rights).
oooh, it was the problem, it says i got enUS 0.2.0.13891 although i Really have enEU 2.1.2.1408! How do i make the manager to know that im playing that version?
How do i change language?
is it "Tools" (2nd tab) and then "Change Font" ? since nothing happends when i click on Chinese TW :S
i dunno... try running sc2 (before u run manager) in admin mode 1st then run manager? try copy and pasting sc2 into another location, running it in admin mode, and run the manager? how do u get 2.1.2 when we are still on 0.18?
Nope, was my misstake, no post where to change the version :/ So that's my problem atleast - the Manager not identifying my game.
Anyone got any similar issues on some chinese forums :S?
Btw im having a real hard time trying to make the text become chinese :D Even though i have chinese fonts on my computor and can view it on webpages etc it wont show up in the Manager.
Tried to reinstall both SC2 and SC2Manager several times, doesn't work.
Waiting with eager on the chinese version (i think). Im downloading a file called "SC2Manager4.1" plain and straight, so i hope my 35 mins of waiting isn't wasted for nothing.
On June 23 2010 20:49 timpan_b wrote: which one is simplified chinese? the others with ??? didnt work out at all :/
Edit:
I didnt even had the languagepackage for traditional chinese installed, fixxing it now by windows update.
Although i think the problem is that SCManager doesn't recognize my version of the game.
Simp chinese is 3rd from bottom of the list, right below korean (you should know how korean looks like!)
TBH i have no clue why sc2m doesn't recognize your sc2. I asked people using the EU client and they claim to be working just fine. Anyone else using a EU client and have problems?
From official blog: Version 4.2 will be released on friday. - Added support to 0.17 single player replay capabilities! -Updated apm charts
I've tried both the Chinese and Eng version and I get the same. If I try starting the rep again, it loads but when it finishes loading it says "Unable to load replay".
Chinese 4.1.1 that I uploaded a while ago [url blocked]
@jinro The error reads: "Starcraft 2 cannot be executed, probably because the sc2 client is imcomplete, Castrated (thats what it says!) version cannot run that replay." I have no clue how to fix your problems so I posted on the author's blog and support forum - hopefully I will get a reply tomorrow. I will also upload 4.2 when it is released since connection to china is just slow....
@timpan_b Was your sc2 working before beta went down? Did you change anything to the installation?
I'm using a single client to connect to all 3 servers, I wonder if that could somehow cause the problems. Or the fact that I changed my Local Settings path, but this was several months ago and SC2 has run well since then.
Can't really think of anything else that would cause it, but I have had problems with minimaps not displaying properly for a long time so maybe it's related. Thanks!
SC2 was working before beta went down, but since then i've been doing all kind of stuff just to try watch those replays, like firstly i got SC2Allin1 to try watch it, downloaded some new Cache to get it working, although the only thing that worked was the AI.
Then after that it was SCManager and when thatone didn't work i reinstalled SC2 (Without cleaning registry). SC2Allin1's AI suddenly stopped to work, just a black screen with a cursor so then i reinstalled SC2 again although cleaning the Caches before.
Now i've been doing so many things i don't keep track. The latest thing was just to whipe Everything that SC2 had to do with away and reinstalled it (exc. my replaysfolder+mapfolder).
Btw, my computor don't want me to read chinese, only errors everywhere whatever i do.

This is the latest english version I'm aware of. Maybe OP can put this link up. It does not work for the 0.18 replay (last patched a week before beta went down), but everything else is good.
I used to have one of each client installed (US, EU, Asia), but I have since uninstalled the US and Asian versions as I could just use the EU client for all 3.... I wonder if I perhaps wasn't able to do a clean uninstall of the US version and for some reason that's why it thinks I have a US client.

You may have found your own fix O.o Try the english client, go to Online Tools (3rd tab) and change gateway to EU if you are using the EU client. Then check if the manager recognize your client as EU.
It just says "change succeeded". I suspect there is a problem with how sc2m recognizes the different clients. I will look deeper into how sc2 works with registry.
Under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II should have the key named GamePath With String value of C:\StarCraft II Beta\StarCraft II.exe
Under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II should have the key named InstallPath With String Value of C:\StarCraft II Beta\
I don't think these would help though.
Edit: Found: C:\StarCraft II Beta\Mods\Core.SC2Mod I only have the US one though. I will upload it and you guys can give it a shot after doing a backup on the folder.
timpan_b give it a try too.
[url blocked] How to use: 1) Backup your StarCraft II Beta\Mods folder by copying it elsewhere or zipping it 2) Unzip the file in StarCraft II Beta\Mods and replace existing files. 3) Run SC2 4) Try using the manager.
This may not work but is my best effort to save people the trouble of reinstalling the client. This will prob change your gateways to NA, but if it works it might solve problems which people may have in the future. I still think a more throughout solution would be to do a fresh reinstall of SC2.
I recommend using the SC2Manager to swap gateways in the future since it appears to do minimal changes to your installation.
Thanks Hikari, but that's exactly the method I used for switching (I also tried setting it to US and had the same problem) I have one base file for each region.
Anyhow, it's alright - I am going to be making a fresh install of my computer as soon as I decide whether I want to buy Windows 7 or not anyway.
4.2 (Chinese) is out! - Support all versions of sc2! No matter what version you upgraded to, you can still use SC2Manager - Added 0.16-0.17 Single player replay capabilities! - Due to the incapabilities to support 0.18 replays, the default version setting for single player is set to 0.16. (side note: I recommend .17) - Greatly edited the APM graph interface.
Download this instead:
hmmm, with the english 4.1.1 I was able to watch all of Jinros .17version replays. Now with the 4.2 sc2manager I cant watch any of those. It tells me the mod data loaded does not match the mod data used to originally launch the game o.O?
Did you extract 4.2 to a different folder than 4.1.1 en? Which of jinro's replays cant you watched? I just tried on and it worked. You may have to download the map again. Just press yes to everything.
I can't get any version of SC2 Manager to load replays from SC2 patches 16 and 17. i've tried 4.1, 4.1 english, 4.2. 4.2 has a totally different problem, when I try to load a replay, it asks me something I can't read, I hit yes, it shows some progress bar then shows an error.

I removed my 4.1.1 before installing 4.2.
I tried 9 replays from his most recent pack and then I tried a tarson v huk replay that is also played on 0.17 and got the same error message as well. Everything I have below v0.17 works (I have no 0.16's to test).
I had sc2allin1 installed and I thought that might be screwing things up so I removed it(no change after removing it) but I dont know if it made any changes to the mod files or not. I think I'm gonna try a clean sc2 install with just the 4.2 manager after I format later tonight. That will probably fix any problems I am having.

Make sure your sc2m can identify the sc2 version which you are using. If not fall back to 4.1.1 I guess.
It is very hard to diagnose a problem given just "I see an error" (Its like telling the doctor "I am sick").
The automatic update probably failed a bit, so I got rid of the old files, downloaded the rar. and extracted. It's all working now. I loaded up a few of Jinro's reps, downloaded the maps again and it worked perfectly. Thanks for quick response. Lovin the manager!
I just downloaded the english 4.1.1 launcher but i can't watch replays, every replay i try to see, sc2 keep saying "unable to open the replay", halp plz? (the replays are from the artosis rep pack, and some mine i played before the beta goes down)
On June 26 2010 15:04 Omniscient wrote: So is this update supposed to be able to play .18 replays? Or does the error message below say it can't play .18 replays?
no 0.18 replays. Only support for single player .16 and .17.
to be fair .18 was only out for ~24 hours on live...
It is very hard to diagnose a problem given just "I see an error" (Its like telling the doctor "I am sick").
the error I got was this "the mod data loaded does not match the mod data used to originally launch the game" I thought I added it in my first post but I may not have.
Here is SC2Manager.exe (v4.1.1) and replay.dll with some fixes of english translation - error messages, some hints and different undertranslated labels. Exe was unpacked and then I used hexedit, peexplorer with translate.google. Since chinese text is more packed so error messages is kinda stupid, but nevertheless more understandable than chinese (for non-chinese people)
Hey, so 4.1 was able to play some of the replays that I have (not all) but, now after installing SC2allin launcher I can't play any. I'm unsure if that is a direct cause to the problem, can anyone confirm or deny this?
I've also tried 4.2 with the same problems. Farthest I get is to the load screen where it says "unable to load replay"
v4.1.1 version of SC2Manager seems to trouble me some, I can't load up any greentea or anyother AI except some like baseAI etc. Getting this error "New Ai isn't support before version of SC2 0.11, Please AI manager's Old AI before version of 0.10!"
Anyone knows how to fix this?
EDIT: Seems I have to patch maybe, will try that to see if that works.
Very noob question... I have never been able to open .RAR files since I didnt know how. I downloaded this and it is a .RAR file. How do I open it? I tried opening the file using Starcraft2 but it says "can not load map". Basically, after I download this what do I do?
Get winrar (google). Install it. Right click a rar file and pick "extract here" (I prefer to use the "extract to (filename)\" option to keep things neat)
I've installed the new 4.2.3 Chinese release, and it actually works! The only weird thing is, that a bunch of reps in the Zotac 14 pack read as random version numbers, (like 103.14, etc) And they are all vastly different. Only 12 or so are read as 0.17. All of the ones that say 0.17 work perfect, but all the other random ones give an error upon trying to load--which I can't read, because it's in Chinese.
What is the point of this thing? You can watch replays by dropping them onto the SC2 .exe/shortcut and you can play games by going into the map editor and testing a map.
I actually get an error when I try to load replays by dragging them onto the exe. This also gives you details about the match before you load it so you know whos playing, the length, and what patch its from.

I'm guessing the other poster hasn't tried this lately, doing this seems broken for pretty much everyone with more recent patch replays.
I see a lot of people (including myself) are having problems with the launcher. I found a "Bnet login bypass" that lets you into the main menu(offline) where you can watch replays ect.
2. Unrar the download to it's own folder. This does not need to be in the Starcraft 2 directory.
3. Run the SC2Manager .exe file.
4. Click on the upper left button that will open the Single Player Game window(see image).
5. Configure what you want to play using the various settings explained in the image below and be sure to select an AI. I have found the GreenTeaAI 0.49 to be pretty good.
6. Once you are done selecting options, click on the bottom right button(see image) to begin the game.
7. Starcraft 2 will launch and your game will begin. Once it is over, quit Starcraft 2 and return to the configuration window to play another game.
I made this after fidgeting with the program and needing a cheat sheet of sorts. Thank you to accaris for posting the english version of the program from a previous build which helped tremendously.
Has anyone else been able to zoom out the field of view immensely using this application? I was using 4.2 chinese version and was able to make my field of view almost three times larger than normal. This might just be a bug, but it is pretty interesting to almost be able to watch both players bases at the same time.
this happened when i would push 1 or 2 to change to a players view.
I also can't play patch 17 replays. Everything else works just fine though. I'm tired but tommorow I'll post SS of what happens when I try. Even though I tried erasing then redownloading the English version it gives the error in Chinese when I used the English version.
Does anyone have a better download link .. or any kind soul willing to upload it on a different host ? The hosts that are hosting the files ...the speed is terrible ... and its very inconsistent and although I thought I could tolerate it .. It doesnt seem to be the case .. cause you won't be able to get even past 1% no matter how long you waited and.....yeah thats basically about it .. so can anyone help me out by getting a new link ? Thanks in advance
EDIT : As for the links , dont mind em already . I somehow got hold of the latest version one already but theres another problem .. Whenever I try to start any single player replay they'll give me some kind of message that is not in english , probably Chinese . Ill upload a screeny of it later . So did anyone successfully viewed the patch 15/16 single player replay ?
FYI SC2 Manager version 4.6 is out and allows you to play single player against the AI for the latest patch 18.
This is what I did to get it to work.
Download a previous version from this page.
Once you start SC Manager it'll open a window asking you to download latest version. Hit the OK button. Its the one on the left since it's all chinese.
Click the button to start a single player game:
Once that is downloaded follow the instructions above on this post on how to set up a singleplayer game.
NOTE: I could NOT get GreenTeaAI to work. I gave me an error. Not sure if anyone else will have this problem but I was able to use any AI that did not give me a (list index out of bounds -1) error.
Once you choose your AI make sure your version is set to 0.21.0.16094. It's the box to the right of the AI box.
*If you changed your versions to XXX in order to watch replays, I believe you must change them back to the default*
I'm getting this now. Same error with the latests versions of the launcher. I can only gather it has something to do with the GreenTea 04Alpha, but it really doesnt help me that much. Anyone got an idea what this is? Only Base AI works. Also I dont have the latest patch, only the 15976 and 16036, could that have anything to do with it?
