Cost Ultras 600/400 Marauders 800/200
TEST 1: Attack move, no micro, no upgrades
Ultras win, 1 Ultra left standing at 10% life.
TEST 2: Very simple micro on the marauders
Marauders win, no dead Marauders
2 Ultras w/ 1 Infestor vs 10 Stalkers
Cost Ultras w/ Infestor 700/550 Stalkers 1250/500
TEST 1: Frenzied, No micro, no upgrades, Attack move
Ultras win, both Ultras still standing with low health

Seriously? Those results look about right, ultras suck. Even with upgrades you can still kite them. I don't see how it makes a difference.

Stalkers win, no stalker deaths This means nothing though. A zerg with ultras is going to have a bunch of lings, which will get in the way of the stalkers and marauders. The just isnt a tank in starcraft 2. Its a glass cannon.

Try Ultra vs Marauders with an upgraded Overlord to drop it. I want to see the results XD

Since you got the infestors there I think they expect you to use FG alongside the frenzy to avoid kiting. So that's something that needs to be incorporated into those tests.
And obviously, instead of testing without upgrades you should test with most of the upgrades, you're bound to have them if you're building your strategy around ultra's.

FULL UPGRADES
2 Ultras w/ 1 Infester vs 8 Marauders
TEST 1: Full upgrades, speed, stim, everything, Attack move, no micro, Frenzy
Ultras Win, 1 Ultra alive, 25% health
TEST 2: Full upgrades, speed, stim, everything, basic micro, stim, Frenzy
Marauders win, 2 dead marauders, (limited area to move due to tester)
Edit: I tried to FG but due to the speed of the Ultras and the Marauders i couldn't catch up. By the time i cast FG they were against the far end of the tester area anyways and the Ultras were dead.

The thread doesn't take into account the doubling of the attack radius, or the damage bonus of frenzy.
Also, to the tester: in a real game your marauaders would get fungal'd to stop the kiting.

Every single complaint about ultras was them not getting fast enough into the fight, their COST, SIZE model. Blizz chooses to buff completelly irrelevant stats for ultras (their hp and damage WAS FINE) and leave anything else disregarding users feedback and complaints. Are they playing the same game?
Infested terran for 125 energy when it was before 25 ?!?!? And ALL the stats remained the same? Its obvious its some gimmick for singleplayer game which they fanatically trying to keep, but why not then remove the spell completelly from MP and put something interesting and fresh for overseer??
AGAIN Marauder and marine buffs which is allready deadly unit combo for early game for protoss. Marauder early game is a counter for every single one of gateway units and also not even immortal will help couse they are too slow, too expensive and too late to come in for help AND can be kitted easilly by maras now with EVEN faster upgrades. Wheres is the balance in that?
Playin protoss and im now really wondering if im gonna ever win the game against matched opponent when bnet comes online. Maybe its time we all switch to terran??!?
