GOMTV, Starcraft II Audience Participation Program Star2Gether Broadcast
A show where the audience can play against a gosu!
Since the closed Beta test release of Starcraft 2 has gathered positive response, GOMTV has decided to run the program 'Star2Gether'.
The broadcast of the show will begin on 12th of April, and will broadcast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights every week at 9pm KST.
Star2Gether is a show with similar concepts to MBCgame's Battle.net Attack, OnGameNet's Live Battle and Teamliquid's TL Attack. Former professional gamers will be live on studio to face against the general public in friendly matches of Starcraft II.
Currently set for schedule; on Mondays will be two-time OSL winner GARIMTO. On Tuesday will be accomplished Night Elf Check, and on Wednesday is the King of Harassment Rainbow.
GOMTV PD Oh Seung-Min says that the "program is a great way for gamers without the beta to watch Starcraft II". "Hopefully this program will be a lot of fun to produce".
Star2Gether can be watched on the GOMTV Service (http://ch.gomtv.com/425). VODs will also be available.

Yeah, Tasteless and Artosis would be great, also Tasteless and Susie, or just Tasteless before SDM. Although I'll bet GOM wouldn't let Artosis do it since he is employed by a competitor AFAIK

I don't think english commentary would work for this very well, since most of the commentary is the commentators talking to the players as they play, while all tasteless could do is talk about whats happening.

He's my favorite English commentator.
As to the real news, it sounds really good. I'm looking forward to the SC2 programs that GOM will inevitably be adding over the next year as well. I really hope they have the player in an outlandish studio and wearing a spacesuit. If you're going to start fresh with a new game you oughta do it right.

If I recall correctly, Jaedong knows how to penetrate, and when to pull out.
Anyway, on the subject at hand, is there a way to let GomTV know that we'd appreciate English commentary? I imagine they'd be more likely to deliver if they know that there's already people who'd be willing to watch.

Great, great news indeed. Am i the only one who enjoyed gomtv more, when it was just tasteless commentating? Like in the first season of gom and star invetational, when Tasteless did not have anyone to talk to, he would often talk alot of gibberish/random stuff, which i really liked  I also enjoy the moments of silence when casting. I think way too many casters think its import to talk ALL THE TIME. I prefer some moments of silence, which Tasteless did when he was casting alone.

Even if SDM wasn't the best commentator, he was a great guy. I loved how the two played off each other. I laughed so hard one time when he said he wanted to be a detective so that he could "bitch slap perps until they die."
When Suzy was on it was like Tasteless and Clueless.

Having english coverage for classic s3 won them sponsorship from blizzard. Granted that indirectly killed the league but in Starcraft 2 Kespa nolonger has leverage. Surely it would make sense to have english casting if not for this show then at least for any leagues in future soley to obtain funding from blizzard and potential other international sponsors?

I disagree that SDM was a bad commentator in the context of GOMTV Classic S3, he provided lots of cool background info on progamers, teams, strategies, etc. that Tasteless wouldn't know, he'd be a bad commentator on his own but he was good at adding color to Tasteless' broadcasts.

Woo, so glad GOMTV is alive, I use the gomplayer all the time as my primary media viewer now (the customizable arrow key tracking is soo good)
I hope tasteless does the commentating, even if it's just on the games, it will start the ball rolling on international SC2 on a commercial level.

I can't see why they wouldn't bring back english commentary when (if) they start running a SC2 league. They did it before and iirc. Tasteless said they were very surprised to have so many foreign watchers so if they did it then then why not now. Bring Day too to form the ultimate Plott.

Rainbow just raped a zerg by going reaver-hellion-thor harassment and in the end dropping like 5 thors in the main of the zerg simultaneously, fun stuff. =P I think his display made the game look really good too as he showed a bit how you can micro reapers/hellions and his strategy was very fun overall as well.
