This means a single player can eliminate an enemy team, or even after winning the First 2 games, the final player for the other team can "all Kill" your team and secure victory.

All players must have an account on the North American SC2 servers. At least one member of the team must be 1900+ Silver, 1700+ gold, or 1500+ platinum on the North American SC2 server to be eligible, this does not guarantee you will get a spot due to time constraints.

There will be team slots available on a First come First serve basis, but we will also hold some slots available for the highest rated teams that sign up or for more famed players. We will try and allow as many players as possible to play, but due to time constraints and other reasons we might have to limit the number of teams.
Submit your SC2 account info and teammates information in the following format:

Starter: Poker.Liquid 1800 platinum Zerg
Teammate: MaeJae.yoOn 2600 platinum zerg
teammate: Monkey.Milk 2100 platinum Terran
Changes to who you wish to be starter, team composition, or races played can be made as long as it is done in a timely manner before tournament Start. Don't expect to replace every player a minute before the tournament starts. Also a server wipe is imminent, if there is a wipe, PM me ASAP if there any name.id changes on your team. Please keep up to date on the goings on of the tournament to make things run smoothly.
Rules:
+ Show Spoiler +Subject to change Who you report results to will be determined before tournament Start and posted in the standings section. Each player must stick with the same race (or random) throughout the tournament once it has started. Also team composition can not change after the Start of the tournament (can't swap players around). If a player can not Stay throughout, his absence will be counted as an instant loss whenever he would have played, and you will have to play 2 lives versus 3 lives (or in the case of 2 absences, with 1 life vrs 3 lives). You must allow streaming of your match if it is asked and has not started yet. The semifinals and finals might have a Special format to encourage more games for streaming purposes which is to be determined, or a different map pool. POSSIBLE Rule for the finals (will be finalized soon) + Show Spoiler +The POSSIBLE rule amendment to make the finals more epic, to be decided based on time constraints and enthusiasm. In a nut shell one player for each team will have "two lives", to extend the series from a best of 5 to a best of 7. He can not use this second chance, until everyone on his team has been defeated has been defeated once (including himself). The Map rotation after the fifth game, will restart at the top with Lost Temple, and proceed down.

In the event of a drop or disconnect: It will be based on review of replays by admin if both teams can not agree on a fair outcome. Only in the case of a clear definite advantage will a Win be awarded, or in the case it seems clearly intentional. Non-streamed games can have observers if both teams agree to allow observers. So if one team doesn't want observers, you will have to respect their wishes and not observe your teammate's games.

Yeah it should be, trying something a little bit different with this one to hopefully make it very interesting and add some fun team strategy like who you send out on which maps, and who is your starter etc.

This tournament will hopefully run smoothly, I should be getting some additional help (already had a few people offer) and I will come up with some better methods of reporting and handling of the tournament. So everyone thinking of participating, the previous one went rather smoothly for a first try and matches went without much delay, even in the face of multiple no shows and having to shuffle in replacements. Hopefully this will be a fun event for participators and fun to watch and we won't have any beginner mistakes!
Anyway NA needs more events, sad I can't play in this one

I don't know about moving the time up a bit but having it over a longer period kind of defeats the purpose. We would rather have a quick event with a ton of games then a 5 week tournament where you play 3 games every week.

Hey guys if you are in the free agents section, add eachother as friends and try and work out some teams, or just ask people around your skill level (near the top of platinum divisions) if they are interested. One of the points behind this is to get people playing together in sort of team environment.

Spor there are a ton of good players in the free agents list, 2200+ ratings etc. If you take some initiative and get together with other free agents, you can form a really solid team pretty fast.
Right now we already have at least 8 teams participating. This means you can expect at least 4 best of five matches if you make it to the finals, aka 12-20 matches.

Catz good point, will be done, will have to be the later maps as the first 3 affect the starter choice
Note: Map 5 is now Blistering Sands, bringing the map pool to 3/5 1v1 maps.
No you can't change starter, this is to avoid confusion and make it run smoother.
Where to meet, and how to report games, will be posted up when I do the brackets, I have some helpers so the bottom of the bracket and the top of the bracket will report wins/losses to different people.

Ok, the explaination now explains this a bit better. Using Team EG as an example because I know all their players, lzgamer starts and he plays until he loses. *If* (big if here) lzgamer loses, Machine or Louder plays until they lose and lzgamer can't return until both Machine and Louder lose.
Edit: This has been a really fun tournament to watch. The constant munching of a commentator and the amazing floating nexus strategy really made the night.

NkDCoke is pretty confident for someone who hasn't won a game in this tourney so far. ^^
With all the confidence he better deliver. Fredz did extremely well. Machine is probably my favorite Zerg player at the moment. He did great. Hope we go all the way to a 7th match though!

I knew slush was really good the rest of the surprised me just because I didn't know them. Slush vs Sheth was huge as either team could have easily won that. Slush adapted well to sheth's style (lost 0-2 last time), and pulled it out.

Machine was very well in that game. After that I have full confidence in his ability to come back and win it for EG.
Slush is pretty beastly with the Zerg though

Very unexpected, probably the three biggest names in the tournament were the 3 EG players and they got taken out by Canada. Great work guys, and thank you to the organisors for a fun one day tourney to watch.

The POSSIBLE rule amendment to make the finals more epic, to be decided based on time constraints and enthusiasm.
In a nut shell one player for each team will have "two lives", to extend the series from a best of 5 to a best of 7. He can not use this second chance, until everyone on his team has been defeated has been defeated once (including himself). The Map rotation after the fifth game, will restart at the top with Lost Temple, and proceed down.
Thats worded pretty badly... the whole 2 Lives thing....

Kinda sucks to blame now the system and rate down Quebec's great win when you had example in the spoiler for so long, and when casters asked twice if EG is sure to pick Machine as they had just one life left. 1300+ people saw on stream casters asking that and still Lz said in-game, when we all saw Machine gonna lose, "If I knew we had just one life left..."
Anyhow, great tournament!

mm dont worry about it, just a fun tourney, focus on the good stuff. Those casters also did a very long cast for the community.

I passed out during the finals (It was like 2:30 AM,) I can't believe Team Quebec won.
Also, Fred(z?) vs IZ/Louder games were off the chain TvT, some of the best play by far.
Also CL did some serious work out there as well, it's too bad he couldn't stop the allkill from LZ, he's definitely one of my favorites, next to TLO and apparently I might have to add Fred to the list of watched players.

It was some great games! Team Quebec won with solid play really. I enjoyed the hell out of watching them!
I have not seen a lot of TvT myself before that (a couple games here or there) so those were some good games to see sort of early on. A lot of cool strategies were used TvT is too cool!
CauthonLuck did a great job, you just can't win them all. But I 'm glad to have him in our main event against Catz! It will be a great matchup!

anyway we can get the tourney to end earlier by either having less games or start earlier? im sure some people like myself have work the next morning but love to watch these things live... i had to crash at 130..

Agreed. Perhaps a 7 or 8 EST start time? That was even some Europeans can watch the beginning rounds too. Going to 2 AM was a little rough for me.
