The delay really is the most glaring problem with SC2 right now. Nothing else compares.

I think the reason people are saying yes and claim they have low latency, is because they don't know what zero latency is. (I'm one of those 57%... there's little latency issues from where I'm sitting)

Just because you experienced some lag, it doesn't have to make it a universal truth. Either 57% of TL users are stupid unbeliever noobs, or there's some sort of flaw in your reasoning. Which is more likely?

The fact that SC2 is this far along already is really good news. SC1 wasn't balanced for years (but granted there was no esports scene back then).

Second, even if everyone's judgments on whether latency, delay, or what have you exists are correct, that leaves 43% of beta players burdened with an issue that makes reactive micro impossible. Just want to say: don't be silly, just because it isn't an issue to you doesn't mean it's a complete non-issue.

Playing on Europe feels like playing on iccup. Just because you experienced some lag, it doesn't have to make it a universal truth. Either 57% of TL users are stupid unbeliever noobs, or there's some sort of flaw in your reasoning. Which is more likely? The game is 100% playable right now ofc, everyone is just massing units and no one is macroing nearly perfect. But playing in a LAN tournament this is unacceptable. For custom games it's unacceptable. Imagine trying to play on BNET 2.0 all these new "mods" and you have a .5 sec delay for playing FPS mod, or a racing mod, it's just ridiculous. Having played war3 since launch, no one realized or was bothered by the delay until VCK was released, and then everyone realized host in custom games didn't even have 0 delay like they thought they did. I can tell the difference between lag and response delay, why don't you host a custom game vs the computer and tell me you have lan latency, because you absolutely do not, it's just at a level where you aren't going to notice it because the game is so smooth. That one guy already has done tests and has shown it's identical to Brood War and Warcraft 3.

Just want to say: don't be silly, just because it isn't an issue to you doesn't mean it's a complete non-issue. Actually 18% of people think latency is "awful." 82% cumulatively believe there is no issue. Learn to analyze data.
