My usual unit combo of ling/baneling/muta is completely useless against that because he can - with good micro - block all the banelings with the mass sentry force field, defeat the mutas with guardian shield, and obviously clean up the lings with the rest. obviously the answer in both cases is simply to micro and play better but i'm just wondering if better zergs are finding stronger builds than what i've come up with that pressure or scare the protoss into not doing exactly what they want | ||

Sounds like a bad idea. I mean they are really only good versus probes and sentries right? (maybe HT). What I've been using against standard aggressive protoss is basically a little bit of everything. It is very challenging to say the least. Open with roaches to defend any zealot openings, then get speedlings in anticipation of the toss's next move, which is stalker/sentry/immortal. Use the lings to scout as much as possible. If you see his unit/gate numbers low, get a lair, evo chamber, and hydra den. He's most likely going pheonix, voidray, or DT. Don't forget to upgrade lord speed and get some overseers too. You need recon ASAP in this matchup, and it's very difficult to get some early on. Try to secure enough gas and econ while doing this so you can switch to mutas. Ling/Roach with good micro does pretty damn well vs zeal stalker armies. Basically what you wanna do is hit and run with the roaches on all his zeals (unless he has charge, then you need to pull front to back over and over), until they are really weakened or the numbers have diminished a little. Then send the lings in to wrap them or the stalkers. Roaches aren't that bad versus stalkers in a straight up fight either. | ||

SC2 said "You have been dropped from the game." about 10 seconds into a game vs Idra and then the program crashed when I clicked OK  I got a loss off it.My internet did not die or anything during this, it was just some weird issue (I've only had it happen once) | ||
