Any1 else having the same Problem after downloading the SC2-download-Tracker?
Really "funny" Story: I would've been able to play the SC2-Beta from day1 and I've downloaded the Tracker, but because it said "The Tracker is not responding" when I wanna download it. I thought I needed a Key or sth, but from what I've read in the answers Blizzard sent me to my Problem, I didn't.
It's really so funny, I nearly laughed myself right in front of a train... -.-°
We have a router at home and I have no Idea what to do that this stupid Tracker-thing works! Is there any1 that can help me? Because Blizzard obviously can't (wrote several emails and their answers were of absolutely no help at all. -.-°).
Why is it so difficult for blizzard to maybe give ppl another Option to download the game (obviously only if you have the right Account-Datas with SC2-Beta on it) and the Patches.

ummm, you can download the beta client. I got one on piratebay.org. I'm sure there's a more legitimate site...(pretty sure its on blizzard's...) but as long as you don't actually have to type your beta key in it i don't see how it would be dangerous.

You're probably having firewall issues (most likely since you mentioned having a router), or your ISP/school is blocking tracker connections. The support article Zhek linked has all your answers.

You really think I haven't read all this stuff?
And for the Installer-downloader: Will I also be able to download patches this way and will I be able to even play the game online if the tracker can't even connect?
I really have an f'ed up Internetconnection at home which has problems all the time, but I can't do anything, because we have a router and my father "has control" over it, but doesn't really care whether I can play games n stuff....
It's jsut way to complicated; for example: we have an extern Firewall and each PC has a specific IP-Address etc. - This basic FAQ-Stuff has never helped me at all with Internet-Problems. If something doesn't work, it will most likely not work whatever I do. I've had extremely annoying Internet-crashes since Months and I've invested hundreds of hours triying to fix them but I couldn't... So sry, but this stuff isn't gonna help me at all, but I appreciate the effort. :S

If its not working you have to screw around with your router. If you don't have the ability to log onto your router. You won't be able to get it working.
Most likely you need to open a port or disable/lower security settings on it.
www.portforward.com has information about this kinda stuff.

That's your problem right there. That's usually because your router is blocking the ports the Blizz downloader uses. Imo, talk to your dad about it.
Also, try unchecking "Peer to Peer connection". Then it just downloads the game from Blizz's servers, though maybe not as fast, it's always there.

unchecking "Peer to Peer connection" didn't work and my Father doesn't really have time for this stuff, so I'm just hoping that the installer downloaded from an external site along with the patches work, or else, I'm totally screwed and won't be able to play the Beta, even though I had a Key...
That's IMHO 1000 times worse than waiting for a Key, because if you're w8ing for a key, you still have hope. -.-° We don't even have Pc-bangs here and I highly doubt that my friends would like me being on their PC the whole day playing SC2 in my underpants...

You can get the client from fileshack and the patches have been uploaded to the respective threads about them if I am not mistaken, so you should be able to play SC2 if your router isn't blocking anything else.

Well, if your Father -really- doesn't care you could try hard-resetting the router. All routers and such have this option, simply hold the reset button for 30 seconds (sometimes 60) and it reverts it to when the router came out of the box.
If you've put any decent amount of time into figuring out networking (like I have -_-) you should be able to configure your router fairly easily and get it all working.
I would assume your Father doesn't care that much (if he even knows anything about it at all) if he's being so nonchalant.

He's a Software-Engineer, professor for physics and mathematics and teaching discrete mathematics and cryptology - so unfortunately, he has a lot more knowledge about this stuff and i've no chance of really doing anything about it without him helping me.
It's all about the external Firewall I guess or if it's about the router, It's probably not fixed with just pressing the reset-button, but thx anyways.

Okay, I've downloaded the game, but I have the same Problems with patching and even after an hour-long search I couldn't find a page were you could download the patch other than with this annoying blizzard download-tracker...
Sm1 knows where I can download the Patch 2?
