Hi, can anyone tell me what number daily day9 talks about his computer music classes he took at harvey mudd? He talks about experimental music and the horrible noises his prof enjoyed, and played his own synths on the stream.
I've been trying to find it so I can make something out of day9 noise face but I searched about 100 vids so far. I remember it being about 6 months ago.

I've bumped into this idea in a thread I started and want to start a dedicated thread about it. Before that though, I want to make a suggestion:

Could you do a Funday Monday or Newbie Tuesday where Protoss or Terran get a 'macro nexus' or 'macro command center' (in lieu of macro hatch) for worker and mule/scan/chrono surplus?

An orbital command is paid for by the time the second mule is finished. After that, it's pure profit. Early extra chrono boost can't hurt either.

Only spellcasters.

Zerg would get:
Queen
Infestor
overseer
(they have 3 others have 4, darn... Still they would get spine crawler pushes.

Terran would get: (no, stim doesnt count)
Ghost
Raven
Bc
thor.

Protoss would get:
Sentry
HT (no archons)
phoenix
Mothership.

Im actually not sure if the BC, and Thor are spellcasters, i mean they have energy and an ability right?

Of course all races would get static defence and workers, zerg gets overlords but obvi no drops.

BC, Phoenix and Thors don't count as spellcasters.

I'd rather see a funday monday where you're required to use all of your races spellcasters in the game, and not just in tiny numbers, like 3 of each minimum (excluding mothership).

ghosts are disturbingly strong, especially as they aren't "light" so they dont die to hellions, they can cloak, snipe does a LOT of damage for a very low cost, and of course they can do 50% damage to Toss via EMP, and nuke is always fun

hi community!

I'm searching a daily, wich handles the most basics of the game. I've heard of "mental checklist" but not quite sure if this is the daily i'm looking for.
Due to work i'm realy out of sc2. So i need a daily, where day[9] talks about the basic gameplay, to get back into game.
I can't focus or even remember what to do in different cases.
Maybe there is a "Terra gameplay" daily which could help me to get back into the game?!
I would appreciate it if someone can spontaneous remember if there is such daily or even one which could help me to get back on track.

Corruptors. Also, technically, the "explode" ability of banelings may be considered spell-casting, but since you don't count tanks and vikings, maybe it's fine without. Still Zerg is a bit weak, especially early, but it could be fun to try out. ZvP may be possible to win, ZvT i'm more skeptical. Terran seems pretty solid, not sure if protoss could break them either, especially without observers.

lolol you're worried about terran? you realize that queens and sentries would take 10 years to kill a single building. infestors, overseer, temps, and phoenix can't attack buildings and if you mothership rush you don't have gas for sentries...at least terran have bcs or thors to do actual damage. lulz @ some people

i think he means energy based because zealot (charge) and stalker (blink) is excluded as well, but yes corruptors i suppose would count but still cannot attack ground making this idea really bad imo

Well, zerg and protoss will have to rely quite a lot on sp.crawlers and cannons to have a chance. Which kinda distorts the idea. Maybe it should only be played on those "novice" maps, with blocked choke, to prolong the safe tech period. Anyway, it's not supposed to be too serious or competitive.

thanks for bumping this thread, the entire list of day9 dailies with links!!!!! holy shit that's awesome, that's better than awesome, it's tits.

i just watched the king if the beta finals. it's so funny to hear day9 and jp at the end of game 4. + Show Spoiler +
tester's well controlled 2-3 colossus annihilate idra's hydras and the stalkers, zealots and 1-2 imortals take down the roaches. idra's force was standard 40% larger but got demolished, and jp/day9 are all, "i have no idea how tester did that, wtf just happened? amg my mind is blown..."
such a standard occurance was monumental back then :p
