I've proxy-stargated vs terran and lost vs mass-rax-compositions that were about 80% marauder simply because carriers don't kill stuff fast enough if you don't have like 5-6 of them it seems; I've owned in PvZ with mass-phoenixes vs muta play and got my base raided by ultras when I transitioned into carriers because carriers just don't kill ultras; in fact there's a high chance that you will lose all of your buildings before the carriers will have dealt with the ground force has anybody come up with a cool carrier-build that could actually beat players who don't screw up badly? I've got the feeling that the carrier is even much worse than the nerfed-into-the-ground mothership | ||

183 is purely a 'fun' daily, just to see what you can pull off with crazy restrictions in your play. Daily 184 is a serious episode aimed at beginners playing. And even still, in 183 it wasn't about how much money he had unspent. He never said you just had to keep all that money pile up or that you had to spend it on goofy stuff. It was simply about how much money he could spend on things other than queens. I think you sort off missed the point there. | ||

But even then, I don't think there's a contradiction between the two statements. In #184 he says "by making a mistake early on, you are falsely led to believe that you're in better shape economically than you really are" while #183 says "by consciously cutting a certain unit/structure from your build, you have enough money to open up builds that were otherwise inaccessible." | ||

I think you sort off missed the point there. exactly it's not that "without queens you will have more money" but "look at the crazy stuff you can get if you skip queens"; for example, would be similar to a guide on strategies that involve cutting probes at the right time for protoss to get up important buildings earlier | ||

It is meant to show to new players what happens before you get to your opening setup (let's say, a four gate) and why build orders are structured in a certain way, to allow for max production. So both episodes focus on efficiency, really. | ||
