dunno why so much hating on apollo, I think he did a really good job and more often than not we found day9 searching around the map to find something that apollo had noticed and he hadn't (not to hate on day9 because I think that he did an incredible job casting) I think that's part of the job of being the co-caster when you're not controlling the camera. If you are controlling the camera, you can't exactly move the camera super fast to catch everything or else everyone will just end up dizzy so you'll be depending on the co-caster a bit to catch stuff that you're bound to miss. | ||

Apollo: Omg Morrow just showed that he's got a hellion, his plans are ruined. Idra is going to know what's going to happen. Big big mistake from Morrow, I can't believe it. I don't understand this! Day9: ...... ..... ...... (probably /facepalm) I LOLed hard after the 3 second silence and spilled juice all over my keyboard. Don't flame me Apollo lovers but it's just damn funny! :D | ||

Day9 is for sure way better, but sure there are a ton of worse commentators. Crota? Saharadrac? I watched a few videos from them early in the beta when I had just started playing sc2 and really, I'd go for hd/husky over them any time. Same goes for some other TERRIBLE TERRIBLE commentators like the english speaking one that casted the beta games for GLHF.it, missing 50% of the action all the fucking time and blaming it on the players speed. Sure even husky - hd or even d9 miss something sometimes. It's normal, but that guy was a joke. | ||

I love the concept of actually paying regular small (like a few cents a month) amounts voluntarily if I like the content. This could generate a small, but constant and reliable income for our beloved content producers. Then day9 could maybe finally get his glasses fixed Im sure large parts of the community could get behind this. No commitment, all optional. Satisfaction for the viewer by supporting the producers in a way that doesn't really hurt their purse. Satisfaction for the producers by having their work recognized as worthy of payment, and small financial support if many people participate and the numbers start to add up. In the long run this concept might even take annoying sponsoring out of the equasion. I think this is a win-win thing and I would definitely support it. edit: Oh yeah, see flattrdotcom for an explanation on how the whole thing works | ||
