I'm pretty sure you get a player's hotkeys according your player slot. If you are in slot 1 you will get the keys of the player who had slot 1 in the game. For example, on Desti there are only 2 slots and if you host a replay and a friend joins, you will usually fill the top two slots (the two the original players filled) and you have there keys. Occasionally you won't get any hotkeys no matter what... not sure why...

Another option that would improve replays would be to toggle observer or player chat. I've seen a lot of replays where the observers are chatting away (sometimes in languages I can't understand) and it's very distracting to have a large portion of your screen covered in text.

Wow.... I was once a serious map maker of sc, so I learned how to use all the bugs/glitches of sc to make maps with. I am now a competitive D+/C- iccup player so I learned all the melee bugs/glitches, but I never knew about those replay commands, heh.

or languages that can't be read by windows/starcraft because you have to change your computers settings and restart for each different asian language...very annoying...

oh and...why are the commands in spoiler tags? still trying to hide them?

Many thanks, blizzard shouldn't have hidden them away so It's amazing how we were loving replays so much we didn't expect more functionality.

Somewhat telling though, blizz are making out that this stuff is new in sc2...i think even THEY didn't know it was in. Maybe some plucky coder snuck it in at the last minute.

Agree with the other choices in the thread however, nothing wrong with customisable replays. (specially to avoid spoilers)
Probes need love too.

Not really a replay thing, but somewhat related. I want to not have to put the same bleeping map file in multiple locations in order to watch replays. Right now I have 4 (FOUR!) copies of (2)AncientIsles.w3x in my Warcraft 3 folder. 1 in Maps\, 1 in Maps\FrozenThrone\, and 2 in Maps\Download\ (yup, same file. Same md5sum and everything).

And while I'm dreaming, support for watching old version replays would be nice too. Like if the game logic was built as a library rather than into one monolithic executable.
