But in regards of global play there might be a way to get a cheaper international version somewhere. As a german resident you might want to check amazon.co.uk as they deliver to germany and are usualy 10 to 20€ cheaper than amazon.de.

Went to 20€ last week due to the release of HotS. As long as WoL & HotS are still vivid games and the release of LotV didnt happen i dont think it will drop below 40€ anytime soon. Amazon shipping can be really strange. Any time I pre-order anything from them I get release day delivery for like $1 and sometimes the item gets to me before Amazon even says that it has shipped.

Go on the website now though and they're offereing guarenteed next day delivery for an order placed today. Pretty poor. Yep I am not impressed with them either

But I guess I will have to wait a long time for the shipping, right?!?! ...Have to think about it... I currently live in Germany and I order anything video game related from amazon.co.uk, they're almost always way cheaper than amazon.de, shipping isn't expensive, and no, you won't have to wait a long time. It takes like 3 days and sometimes they even ship it from Germany.

Will it really be that late? Tempted to cancel and do digital order... We have received new release date information related to your pre-ordered video game in the order you placed on January 14, 2013 (Order#XXXXXXXXXXXX). The release date for the video game listed below has been changed by the publisher, and we want to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date: "StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm" Estimated arrival date: March 18, 2013 - March 22, 2013 We will make every effort to get the delayed item(s) to you as soon as possible. If there are other items in your order, they'll be shipped according to the delivery estimates listed in the order details in Your Account (www.amazon.com/youraccount) at no additional cost. Hmm... I pre-ordered mine ages ago and it was shipped yesterday and I'll have it today. This doesn't seem right at all..

literally ^^Someone get this man some HotS!! I preordered from Amazon. I live in Illinois. The tracking order says ETA in 3 days, but it is already in my hometown and I'm sure it'll be here today. The ETA date; as mentioned a couple times in this thread, seems to be a safe guess from Amazon. I'm sure in case of fanatics (all of us) this safe ETA guess saves their customer service some major headaches.
