lol most biased player ever. P is by far the best race in HOTS right now.

fungal is a bit worse now than in WoL because you can dodge it, especially with bio and blinkstalker and mutas.

IT ist A LOT worse: egg armor from 10 to 2. egg health from 100 to 70. and the hardest nerf: no more upgrades for IT. thats by far the hugest one. they do pretty much 0 damage vs 3 armor now.

so stop your biased trolling.

infestor is now not useless anymore. its a good but not OP unit which is perfect and how it should be. its a viable lairtech option now. sadly it is still one of the only viable ones. mutas suck ZvT, hydras suck without viper (and suck overall vs bio, storm, airtoss even with viper), SHs just suck and no buffs to nydus, ovidrop, burrowmovement yet. so i really hope there will be a huge patch to buff those units like the T buffs in patch 8.


Nobody cares if it's balanced. Do I have to spell it out again? It's a booooooooooooooooooooooooring game mechanic.

Blizzard logic 2012. Never known a company be so clueless, fungal buff is way too big, give it the missile boost see how that works then if not try 9 range, dont bounce between underpowered and overpowered, its now stronger as low levels, and similar at the highest level, the only thing that can dodge a 15 speed missile is blinking stalkers, and thats if you can actually see the missile under the 100 broodlords and overlords

I am so tired that sc2 is the best RTS game, but not good enough. I am hoping for a miracle patch every week. Just like god, they will come, you just have to believe in it

Then maybe you should play some other games? I mean if there is no good RTS game, MAYBE the problem is that you are not into RTS games?

Thank you for nerfing blink, being 1 base all-in'd by diamond players 75% of my TvPs was not fun. The medivac change makes sense, as they intend that research to be of late game functionality. The other changes are nonsense though.

You can, but it's very hard. Especially on darker tilesets.

You can see burrowed roaches moving, but not the infestors. I never could.

Another thing, i don´t know why infestors doesn´t have a ripple while they move burrowed. DTs, banshee, observer are EASILY detected, unlike infestors.

fungal is a bit worse now than in WoL because you can dodge it, especially with bio and blinkstalker and mutas.

IT ist A LOT worse: egg armor from 10 to 2. egg health from 100 to 70. and the hardest nerf: no more upgrades for IT. thats by far the hugest one. they do pretty much 0 damage vs 3 armor now.

so stop your biased trolling.

infestor is now not useless anymore. its a good but not OP unit which is perfect and how it should be. its a viable lairtech option now. sadly it is still one of the only viable ones. mutas suck ZvT, hydras suck without viper (and suck overall vs bio, storm, airtoss even with viper), SHs just suck and no buffs to nydus, ovidrop, burrowmovement yet. so i really hope there will be a huge patch to buff those units like the T buffs in patch 8.

That new medivac upgrade was too big of a change too and look where it is at now. It got a small tweak.
Guess what will happen with fungal if this is too big of a change indeed.

Really like terran and toss changes. But infestors are basically the same they were before the nerf. Like when terran/toss gets nerfed shit is gone, upgrades are being removed, timings are changed forever, when they nerf the imbastor they reverse it after less than a month...

Not defending this change, since I think they could do different things to the Infestor(or other units) to compensate for the nerfs, but if you actually think that Infestors are better than in WoL, you are in denial.


Fast proyectile fungal is not as good as in WoL, but they are 15 speed.
10 range is the dealbreaker, +1 range than WoL.

Proyectile fungal IS easy to use, no discussion here, unless you are lame or something.
Zergs QQing about FFs? Why don´t you try to use them an see how difficult it is?
Toss requieres PERFECT, i repeat PERFECT ffs to NOT die.

So, if anything, lets say Fungal is even, has more range, but it isn't instant. But what about Infested Terrans and their nerfs? Whole late game Zerg composition is overpowered(in WoL) mostly because of the Infested Terrans and their combination with Fungal Growth.
So right now, we have changed fungal, and a heavily nerfed Infested Terrans, I just don't understand how Infestor is better
than in WoL?

i know you have a blog on gamedesign, but lets give it a shot.

a game is badly designed when it is contraproductive in reaching its goal, being a fun game (it is entertainment after all). A multiplayer game is not fun when it is unbalanced (because both sides should have fun for it to be a fun game, unless its sp you dont play a game by yourself.) hence an unbalanced game is bad game design. or if the game just is boring, so a boring game is badly designed. what makes something boring? small input for big output, aka low skill needed to achieve many different things or victories. FG mostly but spell casting in general falls under that category the way it is now. someone wrote a nice piece about how easy spellcasting was not good for this game, and frankly it is one of the things i dislike about sc2 (perhaps because coming from a different rts tradition, it is new for me and i still suck badly at it even though it is easy, i simply just forget i have it at my disposal )

It is clear by now their fixation with infestor alone is impairing their ability to bring any meaningful changes to other zerg units (Swarm host limited role, etc). I'm not surprised infestors will receive hp buffs in the next patch and the projectile removed for instant cast. If they were so concerned about ZvZ, why not improve hydra and spore damage to help boost Z defense against mutas? The solutions are simple, i still don't understand why they have to be a siege spellcaster now? So what's stopping Z from massing these units in all matchups again?
