Global play is confirmed for HotS but LAN is impossible if you ask me.

The 2 DT skins. The 2 Thor skins.
Well, Blizzard may/should make such changes so obvious like the above one that no one gets mistaken.

As long as this isn't messing with balance/matchmaking i don't care. Lets see what rewards you get at lvlup. Maybe this system will also work with the arcade, but doesn't let you lvl up with arcade as fast as you would with ladder, which could build a bridge between those two parts of the game.

Yes, this already exists and it's pointless but at least the UI looks cleaner right?
I am sure this isn't "new" and they are pretty much just releasing their ideas to keep the community happy for a short while.

I like it, good move by blizzard and I hope they continue to progress.

This is one small step towards the kinds of things that keep casual gamers hooked and coming back for more. Good job Blizzard! One might almost think that they read the Destiny rant/discussion. Of course it remains to be seen if this will be able to sustain interest throughout the entire course of an expansion.

You could just have a option ''don't show custom skins'' and let people decide if they want to see them or not. Then it wouldn't affect gameplay.
Not that it's something i necessary want, just saying it could work

this looks great

I think they already explained wh they could do it with DT.

More potential frustration incoming....
Looks interesting. Seems to be a more detailed version of "congratz, you won X games with your race, now you get a new portrait!".
Don't really like the "weekend bonus xp" stuff though. That punishes the players who ain't got much time to play the game. The previous (nowadays) system doesn't.

I think that might work as well, but who knows how hard it would be to implement. I don't know what SC2's back end it like at all, but all programming takes a huge amount of time. Any good feature they want, then need to start building 6 months in advance.

Seems stupid, nothing "new", either get wins portait or get XP portrait no real impact.
|
great this is!
soon there shall be also awards to buy for the XP points, like perma +1 for marines or something like this. also let us buy buildings that we can place in game, special building, customized no one else has. or special abilities for existing units. wouldnt mind also pay to get items, OPEN A SHOP BLIZZARD SC2 SHOP.

Speaking from experience, people in WC3 battle.net LOVED the stupid fucking portraits and levels. Of course, in WC3 you could add custom text to your profile, and it showed your win rates by each race and your tournament wins and the exp was more indicative of skill level versus time investment (you lost exp for losing). But this is still a step in the right direction to giving battle.net 2.0 some personality, along with clan support and other things.

It looks good to me. Definitely an improvement on the current system, at least visually.
|
Oh my god, if this evolved into the DoW2 system of army xp, I would never play another game.
|
I think this is a good idea, but need something else to unlock with levels, like fun, special custom maps.

Da fuck?!

This is a great step forward! Very interested to see the rest of the improvements Blizz has in store.

I'd rather see them focus on the social experience on battle.net if they want to attract causal. This change is fine but it probably won't have much difference in maintaining players.
