Because it doesn't add anything new to the game. They could add different kinds of rewards for the XP system, not just recolored portraits.

This is a step in the right direction for motivating more people to play and stick with it, especially people who don't particularly give much of a shit about ladder points.

This is a good thing for casual players, it gives decals, portraits etc... and it doesn't hurt balance and pro-level of the game. I just wonder there'll be three different ladder for each race ( Which we asked them for ) or not. And i think people should stop complaining about LAN, chat channel, clan support etc... or said this is like LoL CoD system etc... just do some research or read it over before posting crap :S

"You’ll earn XP for the race you’re playing with each unit you build or destroy. Experience is awarded at the end of the match, and accumulates as you level up from 1 to a maximum level of 20 for each race." I really don't like that this will affect how some people choose to play the game. Containing a player on one base, taking the map, maxing, killing your army, and then remaxing just to get more exp seems horrible. I like the idea of leveling and unlocking stuff, but I really don't think anything you do in game should affect it. As much as I don't like cheese, people shouldn't be discouraged from cheesing by outside factors, or encouraged to macro for that matter.

Although the concept of XP is great, you are giving me something that I can get right now by playing x amount of games... How is this different? I wish blizzard would stop hiring morons and fix this game already

Are you serious? :D Just "gg" and leave the game if you're on one base and suspect that your opponent has taken the whole map. Also, people who will adjust their playstyle to gain more XP or whatever will be doing what casual gamers do - having fun. If you have a problem with that, get into Master/GM.
