That's the beautiful thing of saying "I'm going to set out to sell 3 games for money, within years apart of each other, even though BW was going strong, even 10 years later, due to being balanced." When you see things like battle.net where you can't even watch replays with anyone, you start to wonder what their incentive really is to not hold back on things they could do/should have. You can already fight broodlords with vortex. Even if it is bad design, it's hard to get excited about the ability to now spend way more resources in an attempt to defeat what you already could have, with less.
So, I have the tempest vs mech? Great, a unit that seems to be inferior to a unit that was removed from the game, when it comes to dealing with that. The oracle better be the most amazing unit ever.... The only thing that really seemed to be spawned out of necessity, rather than trying to fulfill the need of having an excuse for people to spend x amount on a game, is the mothercore. Hopefully the mothercore and the pylon changes stop p vs p from being non stop all-ins.
It's kinda silly to have a perfectly balanced game yet already be set on coming up with a new game to replace that. I like the idea of spicing something up and adding new options, but the results probably aren't too great when you feel forced to make a certain amount of units. If the decisions aren't spawned out of concerns with balance, then it's probably going to make it that much harder to balance.

Agreed, they feel like they have to adjust the game because they are launching 3 versions of it. Brood War was a much more single player focused game and they just decided to fix up the multi with it.

pretty pissed off im one of the retards that fell for blizzards "you could win a key if you rate games" in the arcade beta. spend fuckin hours rating tons of games and putting my honest opinions on them, unlike most that put "awesome game" and thats it. ive read so many threads about how people got keys and didnt do ANYTHING to get them and no these arent pros or casters. the only game i play is starcraft and figured people like me that legitimately help would get recognized but obviously not! if i dont get a key by the end of the beta, up on ebay WOL goes
