Not many people are fans of protoss in HotS atm.

saw the most hilarious thing on root slush his stream. he was attacking rocks and suddenly NUKE EXPLOSION out of nowhere haha.

So did the ghost cloak change to the weird timed thing? Or is it still normal?

So I got into beta but I get the "Your account has no game accounts that can be used in this region. Are you using the correct client?" error when I try to log in... bug for anyone else?

Ok, I hardly ever post my opinion on the game state or balance because I am one of the people who pretty much exclusively watches pro's and never plays. I feel like being a scrub limits how much I can reasonably theorycraft.
HOWEVER
I have one opinion I have held throughout the entire alpha of HOTS and that I want to share now that the beta is out: The tempest has a TON of potential to be a great unit. People have been shitting all over the tempest since its reveal, but in my humble opinion I think it could be a unit that exemplifies one of the most interesting and important aspects of SC2, namely positional play. I feel like it is more or less a fact that SC2 requires less micro and raw APM then BW. What less people would agree with, but I still feel is true, is that what has filled the hole in skill required to be high level in SC2 is the need for perfect positioning of armies. I think the skill ceiling on this aspect of the game could be greatly raised by the tempests in their current form.
For instance, I am imagining scenarios in PvT were protoss uses a handful of tempests, and observer/oracle abilities to rain attacks on terran's army from 22 range. Terran responds by sending a group of vikings to eliminate the threat. Protoss has to move his army in to save the tempests because they are such an investment. This forces the protoss army out of position, something the terran ground forces can take advantage of. Now the protoss has the advantage of the damage done with his tempests, but is slightly out of postion.
I'm not sure where it would go from there, but isn't that last paragraph 1000Xs more interesting then deathblob vs deathblob? So instead of going "Range is retarded and DPS is shit, scrap the tempest" think a little about the potential for how good players could use them and the dynamics that could lead to. Anyway, at least they are better than the warhound...

They announced Pros, shoutcasters, etc. FF got some also.

You can deactivate ingame alarms now ( and irc standard is deactivated) . Not sure why you can do that just like the not beeing able to select opponents/neutral stuff you can activate/have to deactivate but its an option.
Btw the Cloak Ghost change is not in the game currently.

The biggest problem with the Tempest is that it's a Protoss unit. Protoss doesn't have great anti-air and Stargate units just aren't very good army units. Terrans and Zergs can produce a lot of Vikings/Corrupters on a whim with Protoss having to invest lots of money into multiple Stargates to get a decent Tempest fleet. The numbers on the Tempest can change (right now it's DPS is really low ), but I think the other 2 races can deal with Protoss air units way too easily for Tempests to really be worth getting over many other units.

Crank can't seem to install the game, has anyone seen this error?

Thx! So you mean like they are sending every day few keys or like every 10ish days one wave? I am assuming you have good info

Bnet Feedback Here we have a problem, in that too many voices seem to drown out any 'legitimate' problems that people have with the beta thus far.
Opinion on TL seems to be pretty much in agreement on certain issues (The warhound) but varies on some of the others. That said, I do feel it's worthwhile at some point really collating ideas/grievances into a more coherent document, get the assent of TL's userbase and present it in some way.
That's assuming Blizzard don't employ people to check community sites such as this to gather feedback.

Are all the EU and NA players playing on the same BETA server?

I fail to see how any Protoss, at least, can be a fan of Protoss in HofS. I was not planning on playing HotS anyway but it really looks like Blizzard don't know what to do with Protoss. Assuming they have a LotV, by no means a certainty, I hope they return the race to some measure of coherency. At the moment, I really don't see it. :-/
