I just lost all my normal mission saves

Not sure if this totally qualifies for this forum but i need some feedback asap b/c this just happened and I hope i can restore my normal missions. So here's what happened. I've been playing SC2 on brutal and i'm at All-in but i keep dying so i've been playing missions on normal to go for HUR. So i start Maw of the void and beat it in 25 minutes and then when i get out every other normal mission i beat in the archives is gone. WTF. All i have now is maw of the void... Does anyone know how to fix this?

Ok i remembered that i had a save file from a mission i played right before this so i loaded that and it brought my normal missions back. Then i replayed the first mission and i think that reset how SC2 loads my archives. I deleted the maw of the void saves then i reloaded the campaign and the missions were still there. When i restart SC2 the campaign loads all my old normal difficulty wins as well so i guess i'm out of the woods now. Has this happened to anyone else?

EDIT: O and i meant to say wins in the title. Not saves.

I didn't start playing SC2 until about 2 weeks ago. I beat it on hard first then went into brutal mode. Over the last 2 weeks i must have beaten 70ish missions.

The whole campaign progress being stored on Battle.net thing is very buggy (not to mention various other problems with the single player mission archive). I had a similar problem where all my progress was lost... but I had already finished the game so it didn't affect me much.

Going back to complete missions especially if you do it on lower difficulty is going to cause you problems.

For example if I am doing a Brutal run through and I have done say 10 missions and I go back to the 4th and do it on normal it will wipe that I have done the subsequent 6 missions and will show only 3 Brutal missions completed (the 4th now being done as normal and it will set your Brutal runthrough at the 3rd mission). The further back you go the worse it will be obviously. This is why many recommend doing a whole new campaign for each difficulty attempted because unless you go through in the exact same order as you did the first time it will think you have gone back and penalize you.

If you want to do a mission on an easier difficulty as you go through (for achieves research etc) its best to do it then and there and then repeat it with the higher difficulty immediately after.

What you do to fix the situation depends on how much you stand to lose. Either redoing the missions from the one furthest back that you revisited in the correct order or finding a previous save before you went back and lose what you have done since (generally the best option).

Short version: Dont change the difficulty setting to an easier one if you redo an old mission or it will reset mission counters.

post this bug in the blizzard tech support forums and hope blizzard fix it.

Pertains to the topic so I didn't want to make a new one. I can't continue my campaign or load any of my saves, and it continually gives me this message:

"The mod data loaded does not match the mod data which was originally used to play this game."

Was my progress deleted cuz of a patch? Had to DL a patch today...
