I tried beating it but for the life of me i can't =_= I did a search and found the other thread with save files but didn't see any for lost viking. thanks in advance ![]() There are no saves within the game. You will have to beat it yourself.

Add that to the fact that you can have two drones and THEN consider that you can have quite a few actual lives in this game - it's quite hard to die. If you use a bomb whenever you're about to be hit you should be able to complete it no problem.

Get 2x side missiles, 2x drones, and then collect bombs. Be aware that dropped powerups go through a cycle, allowing you to choose what you get. However, make sure you're not sacrificing your safety to collect powerups. It's best to be patient and let some go if you no opportunity to get them arises. You should be able to get a nice stockpile of bombs; just use them right when you're about to be hit by something in order to save your drones/lives. As long as you're paying attention, you should be able to save yourself pretty much every time as long as you have bombs on you. If you're not running out of them, use them liberally. When in doubt, use a bomb. Wasting a bomb is better than wasting a life. Also, it may be a good idea to stall on the carrier boss, killing only interceptors for points. This way, you can get the 500k achievement before having to fight the Terratron a 3rd time.

I barely noticed any increased challenge on my 3rd or 4th run. If you're scared of a sudden difficulty spike or something, you've got nothing to worry about, really.

The game doesn't really get harder after the second time, and you'll find yourself banking a lot of lives in the first few rounds.

I tried both, and they both have their merits. Plasma does more damage, but you have to aim it (aside from drones). I just like side more because I could concentrate on dodging things while knowing that I would be hitting stuff pretty much wherever I was.

Plus, this on isnt really hard, you just need to be able to concentrate a bit for the bosses. The rest you just need to spam for.

Yeah i prefer side missiles though cause its easier to get the achievements by the points since its easier to stay alive and kill at the same time with your wide range of attacks.

Actually Side missiles is required for the 4th+ terran levels(lvls 12/15/18/etc), there are simply way too many wraiths to survive otherwise, and you have to spend your time dodging the red side lasers, so you can't worry about positioning like plasma requires you to.
