So now I'm stuck between a choice, should I side with Tosh and go with Spectres, or should I side with Nova and go with Ghosts? Which choice is the best? And those the Tosh leave you and Nova joins you if you pick Ghost of a chance? (Vice Versa)

For me it was a pretty clear choice. Specters.

My reasons are that he was around before helping and will stay with us to keep on helping, while Nova bails on you. Second I liked specters as units more. And imo the Breakout is more fun as a mission.

I had to go with Nova. Tosh seemed terribly untrustworthy in how he was portrayed up until that point... And Nova's a badass, so that's how I made my decision, haha.

Either way you can always go back through and play the other one. =)

Either way I doubt you will be using either that much in the campaign. I picked spectres at first but then picked ghosts on my second time redoing the campaign while getting all the right upgrades, pretty much because I wanted to try something new.

Ghost: extra vision and infinite cloak

Spectre, Aoe stun (dunno if it works on kerrigan), 200 damage "nuke" and cloak doesnt cost energy.

Just made a few ghosts, they don't even have EMP in the campaign

They get +2 range and +3 sight radius which might be good for solo nuking.

Only time I used spectres was during engine of destruction on normal where I used permanent cloak and nuked everything, but this didn't work at all in brutal.

Who cares if Tosh stays and Nova bails? Other than having a conversation point between missions it doesn't actually help to have Tosh there. That being said, I feel Ghosts (Snipe) are superior to Spectres.

This was actually really tough for me, and I really like Nova too. In the end I decided bros over hoes and stuck with Tosh. Didn't really gain anything out of it since I never ever made a spectre though.

Actually after the mission if you talk with the people on your ship you learn that everything Nova said were lies. Specters develop really quirky personalities though but they don't become more violent or so than they already were.

As for units I think that the only time you want to build either of them is when you want to nuke, and ghosts are just way better at that. Since they outrange towers and have insane vision range you can infiltrate bases much easier and 20 more health never hurts either.

I chose spectres just to see what spells they have.
I never really used them in any of the missions, but I wouldn't have used ghosts and their shitty snipe, too.
I'll call Nada.

Snipe is good vs killing overseers/broodlords and ghosts do bonus vs light, which consist of much of a zerg's army (muta/ling/hydras).

Specter's aoe stun I find not to be as useful and its nuke has a small cast time compared to instant snipe. They do bonus dmg to armored which easily is taken cared by the rest of my army.

I chose Tosh. He'd been around and been usefull. I wouldn't trust a DOMINION Ghost over him. Also, with Spectres being buffed Ghosts, I did not want to get on their bad side

Spectres. Ghosts only have Snipe which isn't worth much, while Spectres have aoe stun.
Also Nova got CANCELLED.

If ghosts had had EMP as well as just snipe and cloak I would have probably gone with them...but as it is in the campaign Spectres just have better abilities.

i chose tosh because having done nova on my first playthrough, the 2nd playthrough i enjoyed his mission more, mainly cuz of his abilities. also an interesting thing if you do certain missions in certain orders you get extra bits of "story" by interacting with characters. an example would be if you kept tosh around instead of going with nova, he gives you extra insight on certain events, such as the missions that involve the doctor lady.

Tough, but I have to say Tosh's mission was a bit more fun than Nova's.
Biomine is a drunken chick who is on industrial strength amphetamines and would just grab your dick and jerk it as hard and violently as she could while screaming 'OMG FUCK ME', because she saw it in a Sasha Grey video ...-Wombat_Ni

Both of the rewards are rather useless. I thought that the Tosh mission was more fun, but I enjoyed the story of the Nova mission more. + Show Spoiler +
Though if you like talking to Tosh on your ship do his mission or else he dies
