[H] Devil's playground mission unplayable

Brees Marshall Islands3404 Posts August 06 2010 02:38 GMT #1 My computer runs 1v1/2v2 and the rest of the missions perfectly fine but for some reason on this mission (might have something to do with the lava graphics) My computer just shits out and and the game moves at a pace where it would probably take 3 hours to complete. The lag is unbearable so I cant progress in the campaign. Anyone that knows a bit about computers have any ideas for what I should do make the mission playable?

yrba1 United States325 Posts August 06 2010 02:57 GMT #2 Lower all your settings, I've been able to get 20 FPS by doing that, SC2 SP-wise is pretty graphically demanding compared to its MP counterpart.

SC2Phoenix Canada2814 Posts August 06 2010 03:28 GMT #4 Somewhat off topic I have been getting the same type of issues. I run Sc2 on high at 90 FPS but in some situation's, my FPS will just crash. Mostly in 4v4 at a cetain point in the game my FPS will drop to 0 or 1 and i change my setting to everything on low and its still 1 FPS. My drivers are all up to date and it did this to me in beta aswell.

Brees Marshall Islands3404 Posts August 06 2010 03:30 GMT #5 i already play on all low settings unfortunately ive tried changing resolutions, changed from full screen to windowed, etc all the basic stuff. i guess i need a better graphics card as my computer is fairly new.

yrba1 United States325 Posts August 07 2010 09:27 GMT #8 Go buy some stuff off newegg, if you're confident enough to assemble a computer by yourself, then you can spend less than $1000 on a rig that can play SC2 on all high settings with the FPS going down to 30-40 at most. Piski Finland3461 Posts August 07 2010 09:57 GMT #9 I would suggest turning for blizzard tech forums. Doesn't seem right that everything works fine except this mission, no matter what gpu you have.
