I guess it depends on what research/upgrades you have. If you already have Science Vessels, Haven's Fall is incredibly easy, especially because you have so much gas on that mission.
You can basically just fly your vessel cloud into the infested areas and go "lol 25 energy irradiate with smartcast".
I managed to complete that mission on brutal without any villages becoming infested.
