we need more wild baseless theories on how to get the last 10 points! has anyone tried timing the liftoff of the space marine booth thingy with the end of the mission?
|
Next wild speculation: Prevent the zerg from destroying any neutral structures before the evacuation on Zero Hour. I refer to the colonist buildings. Leave no-one behind!
Should be sufficient if you're able to do this on hard. Good luck, Phoenix. I don't imagine this is even very difficult, if your macro is great and you put forces in the right places VERY quickly. Patrolling medic-marine groups, repairing SCVs, everything you can manage. Bunkers are probably also key, as are missile turrets.

Aha so thats where that outhouse is from. In another mission, I think Ghost of a chance, you can see it flying in the background.

It's probably just a bug, really. Point of reference: the Collector's Edition isn't available in Korea but the "Devoted Fan" feat of strength is still in the game for that region. It's something nobody in Korea will ever be able to get (until they open global gateways).

As an OCD completionist, I really hope this mystery is solved soon. I don't know if it has been brought to Blizzard's attention yet, but if so, that would heavily suggest a secret achievement. Otherwise they would just declare it a known issue.

I don't know about the last 10 achievement points, but has anyone else destroyed every single zerg structure on brutal in the mission Echoes of The Future?
I wanted to know if anyone else did that, haha.
P.S. I'll know if you're lying! :p

And how will you know that from a yes or no answer?

SC2Phoenix, I opened this mission in the editor--there are no other achievements possible through this mission unless they are not coded the same way as the others, e.g. they are hidden and not visible in the editor at all. Only Zero Hour, The Best Defense, and Hold the Line are present.
In fact, there are exactly 3 point-awarding achievements for each mission. It may be that you're missing some stupid meta-achievement that slipped your mind... Best of luck.

I doubt someone that did it would just give a yes or no, and I would be able to tell by what else he said
I'm not saying I couldn't be fooled, but he would have to be intentionally vague, and what's the fun in that?

Get Plasma and Drone, both to level 2 (max). Don't get Side Shot. At all. Avoid it. Getting Bomb is nice once you have Plasma and Drone maxed. To attack, don't just hold space, hit it repeatedly and fast. Bomb clears all projectiles off the screen, so if you feel like you can't dodge anymore, bomb. Drones absorb hits, but they die in the process. Try not to lose to many drones, but be aware that they help shield you a bit. Against the Carrier's special attack, move slowly, step by step. Your Drones will help a lot against the Interceptors, and Plasma brings the Carrier down quickly (before the second special usually). Leviathan is about decent dodging, keep in mind that if you are in the opposite corner of the screen then the spines should not have enough range to hit you. Careful against his charge, you can deal a lot of damage while he retreats though. For Terratron, stay roughly in the middle. His attacks are always the same patterns. Make small movements and just plasma him down.

The last achievement is obviously whipe out zerg on all in mission on brutal without losing a single unit.

Not sure if its even possible, since there is an island on the eastern end of the map, haven´t tested if you can blink there though.

I tried to blink across on echos of the future but there were too many units and they raped my blinked units. I was happy with eliminating everything else though.

You can outlame the carrier by getting lvl2 plasma and just killing all the interceptors (then follow spinesheath's advice and dodge Tassadar's Chau Sara purifier shot step by step).

Maybe if you find the tauren space marine easter egg, you see him flying around in it the outhouse in all the levels

I remember when i first installed the game I added up all the achievement points you could get in the campaign; and I remember it was 1590. Hax?!? D:
