Am i missing something here?
I can only get to the first group of marauders before i lose a large chunk of my force and then the merc tank owns the rest.
I managed to get raynor and a medic to the war-bot thing but it lasted about 5 seconds before it died too -_-
I only tried it once or twice since it's almost 4am but I'm gonna be back to it tomorrow.
Any tips?

when are you using your grenades and plasma shots?
edit: also, in the room where you use the war-bot, there's explosives that you can shoot to deal damage to the nearby units.

I did this without using one single unit ( couldnt handly the brutalisk tho.. lost one unit against him whatever I tried... )
Just send in raynor first and have him tanking all damage with a medic healing.

I survived only with Raynor and a medic when i got to the first warbot, was all i needed really. get the fire upgrade for it, you can plasma shot the tanks
I called in 3 marine 3 medic reinforcement, 3 medics survived, they got used as bait when i escaped 
brutal

Lol, I had only Raynor left by the last....oh...quarter of the mission. It was bad. I just ran and froze time or whatever that was.

Specifically regarding the first merc tank, if you go to the northeast from the room after the protoss relic and blow the door, there's plasma gun ammo. One plasma shot kills the tank.

I called in 3 extra marauders, did the Brutalisk achievement on brutal by spamming like 7 grenades and 4 plasma shots on him and Raynor living on 2hp after about 10 attempts.
When running from the hybrid, use special shots to blow up barricades, then just run past any mobs you can which should slow the hybrid, keep running until he despawns then go back and get any pickups/research you missed. i used a time warp on the ultralisk and kited it to death with Raynor + 1 mara is all i had left.

i cant find all the relics and all the weapon pickups, can anyone help me with that?

12/13 weapon pickups... I can't find the last one 
Is there more than one on the final dash before the shuttle?

Easy way to kill the Brutalisk on Brutal: Don't use the A.R.E.S bot.
When you're ready, run a marine down there and run the A.R.E.S up to take on the Brutalisk. It will get to the Brutalisks lair, kill it and have a slither of time left remaining.
I did that with the all-purpose guns, the Brutalisk probably dies WAY faster with AV weapons equipped

Destroy the Science Facility in the South East in Media Blitz and you'll unlock a secret mission.

First post here :D Okay so I had some trouble finding these as well and I ended up using my first page of the Jim Raynor notepad to help me! I left out Restoration Charges.
Collectibles Part 1 1. Grenade after Lab 1 2. Research in lab 2 by destroying the thing you release units from 3. Plasma behind the door after lab 2 4. Plasma near A.R.E.S. beacon 5. Grenade in the vehicle room 6-8. Grenade, Plasma, and Research in Brutalisk room
Part 2 9. Plasma in hybrid containment room 10. Chrono before first hybrid chase 11. Grenade in the room where the Hybrid chase starts 12. Chrono behind wreckage after A.R.E.S. 13. Research near P/Z battle - Use 2 well placed Chronos on/after the ramp 14. Chrono in the top room. - Here turn around after you get the chrono and take the bottom path to the research, using plasma to destroy wreckage, and avoiding the zerglings. The 2 chronos should slow the hybrid to keep you safe. 15. Research before the ramp and to the left. 16. Grenade right before hybrid disappears. 17. Chrono by 2 marines where the hybrid comes back.

Hmm.. anyone else expierenced the problem of a missing mission? I finished the campaign on Brutal, but somehow I did not play this (Piercing the shroud) mission, though I had been doing all the possible missions during the campaign. Is there any way to play it? When it becomes available and what the closest save should I load?

you need to load media blitz (if its gone then you can find the save in your documents directory in unsaved) and go and blow up a building in the bottom right, and then play the next 6 or so missions again.

Some nice advice here.
Just wanted to tell that you can kite both the brutalisk and the ultralisk just by move/stop with raynor and three marauders (yes even though slow does not work on massive).

Just send in raynor first and have him tanking all damage with a medic healing. You can solo the brutalisk with just Raynor and without taking a hit. Use the tank barrel doodad thing at the bottom of that room. Raynor can walk behind it but the Brutalisk can't, so you can just keep kiting it.
I also found the mission to be pretty simple. Just lure the enemies a few at a time and it's easy.
