Yeah it's just like Mindcrime says. I redid those missions basically because of feeling guilty for abandoning my crew =/

How is that wrong?

People need to realize that Nova is not lying if you choose to side with her.
The game makes your choice out to be the right one no matter what. So if you side with Hanson the colonists are fine and if you side with Selendis Hanson is infected along with the colonists. Same goes for Tosh/Nova; if you side with Tosh Nova is lying, if you side with Nova Tosh has been leading you on.

Because you can choose to save them and cure them all?

It's not nonsense, think about it.
You side with Hanson? No trace of infected colonists anywhere, no mention of infected colonists. You side with Selendis? A significant portion of the colonists are infected. Think about it.
Same goes for Tosh/Nova; if you side with Tosh Hanson tells you Nova was lying, if you side with Nova Tosh acts like a scumbag and there's no mention of Nova lying.
|
Nova is just a total badass, why would you ever pick Tosh over her? And cmon, permanently invisible ghosts? Too good to pass up.

If you side with Hanson, she finds a cure.
If you side with Nova, Tosh is justifiably pissed off because you betrayed him, and there is no need to look into the veracity of Nova's statements given that Tosh is no longer on board.

You sure about the cure? I don't recall that. In any case, you don't see even a single infested colonist during the mission, which is VERY different from the scenario presented by the cleansing mission.
And if you side with Nova it's implied that Tosh was leading you on the whole time just to bust the Spectres out of jail.

I picked the protoss since it gave protoss research and I felt the protoss tech tree was more appealing.
I picked Nova, this was the hardest choice. Spectres looked like a more interesting unit but Nova was cute. Cute > Interesting though.
I picked taking out the air platform. I HATE when people use mutalisks and brood lords against me. I would've rage quit before the relic reached 50% charge.

No she doesn't. (I would be EXTREMELY surprised if Blizz says she found a cure) Which is the weird part. The protoss detect infestation. The Doc says herself some of the people are infested and there is no mentioning of infested people or a cure from there on.
The whole decision should be based on "Do you believe the Doc can find a cure for infestation?" which by itself is doubtful, but trowing in the insanely short amount of time and it just become impossible.

I saved the colonist since I'm a softie and I felt like not pissing off the protoss.I sided with Nova because Tosh and his gang were just glorified maniacs...and ghosts let me nuke stuff! Nydus worm since I HATE those things.

Just rewatched the cinematic, and there's no mention of a cure. Besides, the two missions are clearly not just different perspectives on the same incident. With the Protoss version the colony is being overrun by infested colonists, but in the Hanson version Raynor doesn't even seem to kill a single zerg-infested human. Clearly these are two separate story paths rather than two sides to the same coin.

So for the Ariel and Tosh choices, which one is going to be canon? Or is Blizzard just going to never use those characters again?

IF YOU SIDE WITH HANSON, SHE IS AS LIKELY TO HAVE HIDDEN HER INFECTION.
Side with TOSH and talk to him while hanson is onboard, he reveals enough about hanson that you can piece it together for yourself. She is definately the catalyst that drew the zerg to attack the colony in the first place.

Given that tosh remains on board, i believe him to be cannon same with Selendis. dunno for shure though.

Tosh cuz Spectres are the coolest unit in the game :o. Just for fun i did 2 missions massing spectres and nuke facilities with viking support. On Hard.
|
Actually I dont think any supporting characters will be mentioned again seeing as how the expansion will focus entirely on zerg. There of course will be confrontations with the other races, But I dont think it'll go father then the main characters in that retrospect.
|
I knew I'd do the campaign many times (started with hard and want to do achs anyway) so I chose to be "the good guy" on first run. This meant I chose doc & Nova. And since broodlords are damn annoying to take care of (I dislike vikings) they had to go. As many have suggested, tanks are so OP that it doesn't hurt to have few extra nyduses laying around.

i sided with nova... so what exactly did she lie about?
