actually, i have a question. I have already completed the campaign, I copied and pasted the old saved files into my other folder, completed the secret mission, but now its making me go through the char missions again. Can i skip this?

so, after tinkering a bit, i went back to the last mission and beat it, watched the credits ect.. now my achievement is there, but my campaign picture still says 25/26 and the front shows 25 as well.

ok.. so let me get this straight..

1. missed out on the secret mission
2. Currently at the point before the Char mission
3. So.. I went back to media blitz and got the secret mission, but using a past save file
4. By using the past save file I am wayyy back from my current status point..

If i were to finish the secret mission and then load back my current save point (before char), do I still get the secret mission as "finished"?

Or does that not work because my "current save" file did not have the secret mission done..

Or does that not even matter?? does that mean doing different missions on different save files all eventually land in one place at the end?? If not.. is the only way to get all 29 missions done by essentially playing the whole game 3 times so you go through all 3 options for the 29 total missions?

I loaded an old save file (I had already finished the game) and when I finished it, I got my warfield portrait. So, I guess it counts.

All the problems I am having is would be fixed if after Char i could just go back on the ship, have sex with Kerrigan, and play the stupid mission. Guess I'll go beat it again but hey now i get to choose the other 3 choices.

Okay so this is what I did:

Completed the Campaign.
Replayed the 3 missions which take a different path.
Loaded MediaBlitz(3).SC2 from C:\Users..........73\Saves\Unsaved
Got and beat secret level
Quit campaign

And I still did not get the achievement.

If I load my Save 1 I can confirm that I completed 28 misssions, counting them manually from top to bottom.

If I load my Save 2 I can confirm from the archives on the bridge that I have completed "Piercing the Shroud"

But still did not get achievement...any help?

I tried reloading the save file but didn't want to beat the last 3 missions again. I went to try out the level at the end where you choose to kill the flyers or worms and when i beat the one I didn't choose it gave me the 26 and the portrait

Ugh, why would they design it like this? My main goal was just getting through the game on Brutal. I didn't get the Tier 5 Protoss/Zerg Research, and I didn't get the secret mission. I don't wanna play a mission just to get an achievement and revert back to an earlier state of the game -_-.

Click your profile, click achievements, Liberty campaign, story mode, scroll down and click the normal/hard/brutal or whatever you are trying to get, and see what's not highlighted, maybe you did a mission on casual or something?

No. If you have started the char missions you must load from a previous state before you went to char. Otherwise, you need to restart your campaign.

It won't show up in the archives, it will be in the star map, hence the "not playable after going to char."

what is this ground/air? I finished both the ghost/spectre + Safe Haven/Haven's Fall. I'm right before the char mission, and it's the last and only one to choose now.

Sigh. Yes--do this people. It might not have been the case for the US server, but during launch on SEA server achievements kept going down, and as such some of the missions I've passed, even though it CLEARLY says I have passed them, haven't given me the achievement for them and hence no portrait.
