Yeah that's nice and all but the fact that youre 25/26 kinda inclines you have finished the campaign.

How do you access the secret mission? Do you have to beat media blitz again while taking the secret documents and it just starts after?

There must be cheat codes that let you skip missions. Just find that, start over and jump to the mission in question.

Reload a Media Blitz save, beat it, unlock the mission, play the mission, and beat it, and it will count towards portraits and completion even if you've already beaten the campaign. That's how I got my General Warfield portrait.
One thing to note; unless you want to play through the last few levels of the campaign again, be sure to start a mission from the mission archives screen of your completed campaign and save that, because otherwise you will be forced to play through the campaign again from the secret mission forward.
Cheats are a no-go, they disable achievements for your ENTIRE CAMPAIGN.

I had the same problem and couldn't reload the save from the recent section. So instead I went to my documents folder and looked through the Starcraft 2 one to try and find the save there. You have to go through the accounts folder and a couple of subfolders to get to your saves folder. From there I went through my unsaved and found that my Media Blitz saves were still there. After that I just copy and pasted it into the Campaign save folder and renamed it.
After all of that it just showed up as another mission/planet for me.

what? you sure it counts towards the portrait unlocking?
i played the first few missions on normal then i started playing on brutal and after i beat the game i went back and played the levels i played on normal on brutal and then i loaded a old save and did the secret mission but i dident get any portraits even if i have have done every single mission on brutal but not on a single save
edit : never mind, it turns out because i disconnected from a mission i had to replay it for it too count towards getting portraits unlocked

Is this the only missable in the single player campaign? Like can you return to all the other missions before beating it?

I don't know if it's an error but you also have 3 choice missions.
Gost/Spectre Resque/Vindicate Ground/Air
You can go back and play the other one after completion. This would total to 29.

Confirmed. Just get the right save from the "unsaved" folder and put it in "campaign" and it should work. I'm about to get my Kerrigan portrait. ^^

can you elaborate on this?
I've moved the replay into campaign, and Ive tried: Using thor to get the item pickup and abandoning mission - No New Map Using Thor to get the item pickup, completing mission - No New Map Using army to get the item pickup - completing mission - No New map
-_-

Its not the replay, but the automatically saved game. Should be something like Media Blitz (3).SC2Save or whatever. I then renamed it and it worked perfectly. Loaded the state of my campaign at that time during the mission and I could continue to play it once I finished the mission normally, but I just needed to do the secret mision so I left after I did it, still counts towards the achievement.

Yeah, I mean't the game file, not the replay. My mistake :p

Oh uh I didnt understand your previous post totally. Well, once you load your saved game, get the item with whatever you want and it should unlock a new mission marked "secret mission" on the star map on the bridge of the Hyperion, if you indeed loaded the ongoing campaign.

C:\Users\Mutaahh\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\xxx\2-S2-1-269573\Saves\Unsaved

There are 29 missions total, but there are 3 places in the game where you're given the choice between two options. Therefore, there are 26 missions in a regular play through, and you have to do the remaining 3 through the mission archive. The secret mission can't be accessed through the archive though, which is what people in this thread are having problems with.
