You were cheating weren't you? :D

Just beat this on Brutal. Listen to the people who are saying just mass up a huge ball of medic-marine; it works like a charm. You've got to expand to the Protoss base north of your starting position though. I had something like 6 reactor barracks and 2 tech lab barracks by the end of the mission; I didn't make any goliaths besides 1-2 at the beginning while I established my base.
You need stim and fast heal for this to work, however. Combat shields is ideal as well.
Stay in your base and just stop the capping for a while and then when you get a decent force roll out and take 2 gas at a time until you're done.
I finished it with mnm. I got both the marine and medic upgrades and it was pretty easy for me. Stalkers/voids/scouts die ridiculously quickly to stimmed rines and they are so easy to replace. I think I built a few golis to kill voids faster, but they definitely weren't needed.
2 Bunkers with the auto turret upgrade and 3 marines in each were enough to hold just about everything if I had 1 or 2 scvs just sitting there repairing. They only managed to seal 1 geyser on me.
hey guys, a noob question; whats MMM? mass medic/maruders or is it medic, marines and maruders O_O
Medic marine marauder
Usually it means medivac marine marauder, but you can't get medivacs in the mission.
cause i'm on brutal, do mmm?
btw where are the protoss research on the map
Uh, Marine/Medic all the way, off 2 Reactor Barracks. 2-3 SCVs on Vespene Gas, 16-18 on Minerals. Get upgrades. That's plenty to beat this on hard. Actually I even acquired mapcontrol over every single harvest site first with 2 groups of MM (none was sealed off), got all the Relics. Then I started harvesting Tarrazine with 10 SCVs simultaneously.
On brutal I did about the same, MM with upgrades, but I harvested the Gas as soon as I could. There are 7 easily accessible and defendable sites. No need to expand.
Actually I almost never expanded in any mission where I had a normal amount of resources... Kinda annoys me, where is the macro in SC2?
i don't what i'm doing wrong... here i stimpack and have 1 army going after the sealing group... but the have two group that seals... and when i try to get the gas guys come and attack me =/
I did marine medic goliath on brutal, with 2 seige tanks. I think I accidentally had some marauders so I sent them at the sealing group and would just snipe the probe, but once you have a good sized marine medic army you can just ignore your base basically. you're getting backstabbed? oh well, finish getting the gas, I can clean it up later.
I was on 2 bases, and had like 140 supply by this point though... just don't push out too early, and just keep a force roaming and kill off the sealing groups... I could actually have finished it much easier too, but I kept trying to find the protoss relics...
lol this is so stupid... i keep killing theri collouss and it keeps coming back...
someone post a video of theri marine and medics abd tierh build. im even running 3 barracks and reactor. lol i realized i didnt buy the armor upgrade for marines =/
marines and medics all the way, didn't split my forces because while my main force was out, my reinforcements were gathering at the base so i was able to defend, just focus colossi once it warps in don't forget to stim) 3 rax with reactor marines and medics (4/1 or so)
I'd recommend avoiding the base to your north. Skirt around it while getting the gas. Attacking it opens up a hornet's nest, and I think there's a collo or two there. If you skirt around the edges I don't think you'll ever have to deal with temps or collos and your bio will roll everything.
I did it on brutal with tanks and goliaths with shitloads of scvs.
Wasnt too hard, hard to reload one of the autosaves because of stupid pathing though so be careful of where your units are going.
After I'd stop them from sealing altars I would put some bunkers and turrets to secure the area and maintain map control.
Mass a rine/maradeur/medic ball, take the protoss base next to you after clearing the 2nd altar sealing attempt. Off 2base, mass from 5 rax with whatever ratio of rine/maradeur that you like. After you're on 5rax, keep making goliath off that one factory you have. They've got a bunch of HP and can work as a meat shield from cannons/storm and distract colossi Get 1/1 upgrades(I took weapon up asap as the game starts, and started armor only after getting the barracks...it's mostly useful for final attack since you only lose units to cannon/void ray before).
Mass up a bunch while getting all the protoss research and busting whatever units that aren't coming from protoss main, then once you're past ~120 supply, go and kill him. Focus colossi with maradeurs, focus void rays with rines or with goliath if it's too far. Try to get on top quickly, focus fire the cannons...once you're up ramp, spread the force and watch stuff burn.
You don't need to mine that gas at all if you just eliminate the protoss.
Yeah, it's marines, medics and marauders all the way. Started by going 2 rax (one reactor, one tech) then a 2:1:1 ratio of marines medics and marauders to take out the closest protoss base after the first two sealing attempts. Expanded early and slammed down some turrets and bunkers at my main. Oh, and build turrets close together or else the voids will snipe them one on one.
Once you have the second base, use it as your staging point to stop any capping attempts. If you expanded fast, the next few sealing attempts will be nearby, so kill off the cannons in front in preparation. Saturate main and expansion while supporting three more barracks. I made a lot more marines than marauders since you only really need the marauders for collosi and marines chew through everything else.
I made a few hellions as well, then floated a barracks for vision when attacking the protoss ramp. Hellions sniped the high templar and then the MMMs cleaned up everything else.
wow, i got so close... and i somehow ran out of mineral on both bases.... with marauders/marines/medics... shouldi just let them cap some build a huge army go to the top 2 corners and give it to them? because they come with 2 colossus when i have like 4/7 tarazine
