The Clippers simply quit. They lived up to NONE of what is in that clip. You could easily put Clippers lowlights from Game 7 after each one of those little quips on that commercial and it would just be comedy. In fact if no one has done that on youtube by now, I'd be very surprised.

Doc deserves the lion share of the blame for sure, he's been there 10 years and hasn't gotten them past the second round ONCE despite having tons of talent to do so. But Kawhi and Paul George simply quit on the team last night, just like they did at the end of every game of Denver's comeback. A lot of the credit goes to the Nuggets who played better than I thought they would because I thought Paul George and Kawhi Leonard and Pat Beverly could shut down Murray better than the Jazz could. When it mattered, they couldn't. IMO. I'm laughing the most at Paul George. The Clippers traded FIVE first round picks for him, and he made 4 field goals in the entire game 7. This is after last year falling apart in OKC and being a gigantic disappointment there too. Is he washed up, I don't know, maybe he has another good regular season in him somewhere. But his reputation as a choker in the playoffs is going to stick with him for sometime to come.

Leonard isn't that great of a play maker and teams are now playing him to dribble or pass when he is 20 feet from the basket.

But when it comes down to it, they play in LA with the richest owner in pro sports. They will be a legit player for every FA every year. Not that it has helped the knicks but I can't imagine the Clips in the lottery anytime soon. OKC is going to be the Celts W if they can leverage those picks into decent players or trades.

Lakers vs Nuggets is gonna be a fun af series. Excellent ball movement from both these clubs. I expect this to end in a game 6 or 7. Let's go Lakers!

if all this is true... a person like this can be a great mercenary... but they can never be a team leader. Getting out from under the Derozan contract was the main thing... Kawhi was a bonus. Demar Derozan is the Johnny Damon of the NBA. On September 17 2020 00:55 cLutZ wrote: Doc and PG are the biggest failures. Doc because the team was unconditioned and mentally unprepared, PG, because WTF was that. PG only slightly under performed his playoff averages in shooting. Outside of the areas of the game measured by counting stats... he played at approximately the level i expected. If anyone is shocked by his performance.. I'm not sure why. From what I recall of him in the 2016 series against the Raptors, outside of shooting accuracy, he played about the same level as he did for the Clippers this year.

Is DD a hall of famer? No. Does this make him bad at basketball? No. He was a allstar with some great strengths and some glaring weaknesses. I hope someday the Raps retire his number. He is a all time great Raptor. People are disappointed in PG because his play because he was at a MVP 2 years ago and did not look or preform like that this playoffs. Comparing his average box score stats to his average box score stats this playoffs is some of the worst attempted analysis and a horrible way to come up with any conclusion. On September 18 2020 00:42 Nemireck wrote: Not that I paid much attention to him before, but this playoff run did a pretty good job of showing why I've always had PG outside the top 5 on my personal "top" lists. Always considered PG a big-fish/small-pond guy, and I'm not sure I was wrong.... I had thought he would be a amazing 2nd guy on a great team because he did everything at such a high level including defend. I saw him as a Pippen if he could be on a strong team with another super star. One playoffs does not make a career or a player. But the way the Clippers are constructed if they don't win a championship it will be a big disappointment.

As over rated and bad as Derozan is... Lowry is under rated and makes every player around him appear better than they really are.

https://tl.net/forum/closed-threads/510598-nba-offseason?page=6#108 1. Demar - max deal at 5 years/$153 million. I actually do like DeMar and he improves his game each year. But he's not a franchise guy. He's an improved, but still high usage, inefficient shooting guard that can't shoot from range. Also, I'm not sure that you understand what poison pill means in regards to contracts. It does not mean bad. What it means is that there is a clause in it that a competing team puts in a RFA contract to make it impossible (or at least extremely painful) for the team that controls that players rights. It was initially used by the Vikings to acquire All-pro guard Hutchinson from the Seahawks to the Vikings. Since DD resigned with Raptors it makes no sense in this context. Perhaps you mean bloated or cap eating or even overpaid. Also, why is it that you pick players to constantly hate on? It appears as unneeded negativity coming out of no where. Does it just make you feel good to hate on people? I ask because I really don't understand it, I get to some degree when someone is on a team you follow and they are not hitting the expectations that some one arbitrarily made up for them . But I really don't understand this drive to hate on people, you read about it all the time from celebrities about how people send them all this kind of stuff. I don't think I've met one of these Trolls in real life but since we have this relationship here I thought I would ask you. Why do you troll and hate one people? What is in it for you?
