I feel bad for Tsunoda, who was on for a genuinely great race before his wing broke. McLaren's strategy was complete nonsense. Had they not told Ricciardo to hold position at the start of the race when it was obvious he was faster than Lando he probably would have ended up in front of Alonso at the end of the race. Instead they forced him to stay behind and we watched all of the competition close up on the McLarens then Lando ended up miles off their goal of overcutting Alonso anyway. McLaren seem to be particularly aggressive about strictly following team orders yet whenever they do them it almost never works out for them. The difference in Vettel and Stroll this race was pretty stark. Vettel was racing Hamilton on merit at times and pulling off passes while Stroll was stuck behind Albon's Williams for most of the race. Stroll just seems completely checked out this season. Zhou meanwhile had his third DNF in four races and Magnussen had his second DNF in a row.

I don't think that two malfunctions related to completely new car in the first two races are worth even discussing. Shit happens. Ferrari, however, is a terrible team for the past 15 years. Vettel wasted his time there, so did Alonso and Masa. Clearly Leclerc has great talent which is wasted in that team. The team is legendary with it's terrible pit decisions and reliability. So I think that it is best for him to seek a new team as soon as possible. Obviously that will not happen this season, the ship already sailed away.

This is a bad attempt at trolling, right..? Where were you when RB had trouble with their cars in the beginning? I didn't see any "Max should find a new team" comments from you back then. I don't see anything wrong with what they said. Red Bull has a track record of identifying and fixing problems when they pop up be it in strategy or in reliability. Them having mechanical issues the first couple races of a new season with an all new power unit is not a weird thing. What would have been weird is if they didn't fix it, which didn't happen. They identified the problems and fixed them. Last year they showed an ability to adapt strategy after Mercedes forced them into weird positions in a few races. Ferrari is the opposite of this. They have a long history of messing up and failing to fixing mechanical and strategic issues. The types of mistakes they've been making this year are identical to the ones they made in 2017 and 2018 when they last had a properly competitive car, which suggests that they never actually fixed all of the team issues they used to have. If Ferrari wants to win a championship, they can't keep messing up strategy and allowing mechanical problems to persist for multiple races in a row.
