Cringey traditions, Checo overwhelmed with emotions we got everything now.

I'm rather skeptical Ferrari will win either championships this year after this. They have a fast car but it seems like it's going to turn into another 2018 for them where they have the fastest car at times but fall apart operationally as the pressure mounts. Charles is operating how Seb did in 2017 and early 2018 where he isn't really putting a foot wrong but the team is completely failing him at important points during the season. They can't keep screwing up strategy and giving away points to Red Bull and still expect to win the championship. With Mercedes potentially in the mix soon, it's doubly important that these strategic mistakes stop if Ferrari want to have a chance.
I'll be honest, I had recorded the race so I skipped through the second half. Once everyone was on dry tires it was obvious nothing was going to happen unless someone crashed or it rained again. If Ricciardo couldn't be passed in 2018 while down over 150HP then Perez being on slightly more worn tires in an even bigger and bulkier car was never going to allow Sainz to pass him, no matter how much Sky tried making that sound possible. The only impact the new cars have had on Monaco is that they now follow each other slightly closer than before. This track just doesn't work with modern F1 cars. F1's lucky it rained because otherwise it likely would have been a pure procession with no passing.

Alonso was driving 3seconds off the front runners pace and Hamilton cant even pass him. That Alonso train was a thing to watch

Kinda interesting qualifying today. We saw again Perez beat Verstappen, and this time his lap was compromised by car issues that messed up his final run, which makes this result even more impressive. Leclerc is still keeping his streak of incredible qualifying. Sainz is still disappointing (I think he was a half second off today). Vettel way outperformed that Aston's capabilities while Stroll underperformed them (to put it nicely). Ricciardo seems much closer to Norris this weekend and overall seems happier in the car. Outside of P1, he's been within a few tenths off Norris in every session. Russell still seems to have the upper hand at Mercedes though it seems their car is struggling badly at this circuit and the bouncing has returned with a vengeance.
The bit at the end of Q1 where Albon accused Alonso of deliberately slowing to mess up all of the people trying to get out of the bottom 5 was interesting. Normally I'd roll my eyes at a claim like that but given all the bizarre stuff Alonso's been doing the last two years, I wouldn't put it past him.

Meanwhile Hamilton was driving too slowly as well and was actually under investigation for doing so. Wasn't severe enough for a penalty though.

Not sure that's entirely fair, on a pace alone comparison. He was P1 until the very last lap, where he lost his rear in T2 and nearly hit the wall, losing tons of time. Don't get me wrong, that's obviously still his own fault, but a mistake doesn't really make him half a second off pace. Not going to proclaim he definitively would have had P1 without the mistake (That last one was an absolutely monster lap from Leclerc), but he was up there fighting with his teammate and the Red Bulls the entire time

Worthless investigation tbh. He was within the Delta the entire time, and even drove off line in case anyone wanted to pass him (Which they didn't, because everyone wanted the tow). There was nothing to investigate, but glad they came to the only reasonable conclusion at least

My point was that it's a bit strange to point out Alonso and not Hamilton while the former wasn't even investigated (and apparently had a problem).

Well good thing the Sky commentators aren't biased at all.

Honestly, Leclerc should get the hell out of Ferrari. Terrible team that is wasting his time.

And its a new PU for Baku iirc. As long as Ferrari manages to fix their issues, I believe there is still hope.
I still cant believe Honda is making a better engine than the rest of the field.
WTF is wrong with Ferrari engines...
It's Alfa turn now

Hopefully they recover for the championships sake. Honda indeed eventually made a great engine and than immediately pulled out of the sport lol
Edit: Changed PU to engine, PUs consist of several parts ofc

Lol, so sensational. Where is he going to go, exactly..? Ferrari is the only team except RB that is even in the contention for the WDC. A couple of bad races and it's not "he needs to fight for a comeback", it's "give up and look elsewhere". Give me a break

I would be very nervous if I had a Ferrari engine right now (and still going)
