Haha, no. That's just 2 guys who are part of the problem posturing. I heard all the same things from the same people after Germany. They did nothing then took credit for a little luck in 2010/14.

australias struggling also which is a bit awkward because i have no country to root for lol
tbh australia nor korea probably dont deserve a spot anyway

Big countries just need to realise that football is getting better all over the world. If you think you can just sit back and let your "class" get the wins you are mistaken.
You know you fucked up in your development when you lose to Trinidad & Tobago.

how confident are you guys against NZ? as other aussies have said, we've been playing like dog shit as of late and i dont feel confident vs honduras.
i want to buy tickets for the second leg but hell i'd be damned to watch an elimination live lol.
|
if aussies were to play against nz? i wouldnt worry too much as i feel australia vs nz has a motivation factor thats not really there with other countries, just like how korea always seems to do well against japan no matter how shit we are in general. were not vsing nz though so...
edit: nvm. just realised you were asking the peruvian lol
for the aussies here, how sad would you be if we actually missed out on the world cup? personally i dont think itd be a big blow as i wouldnt expect us to even make it out of the group stages anyway

Well Americans are going to be confused. Most people only ever really watch soccer during the WC and I'm sure they have no idea qualifying for it was even a thing. Absolutely disastrous for the growth of the sport.
Now the people that still decide to watch have to fall back on the time honored american WC tradition of rooting for the team that has the most appealing colors. That would often times be Netherlands but even that's out the window...

holy smokes Chile failed! America failing was kinda on the wall a bit due to they have just been bad for a while. Madness World Cup!

That's some crazy results and outcomes. Also, I found this seeding projection, and I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised at how balanced the pots look so far (surely not perfect, but better than the last few times imho). http://www.footballseeding.com/international-tournaments/world-cup-2018/

But Spain has been really bad the past few years. Poland deserves to be above them imo

Imo they are one of the top favorites for world cup and also would beat poland 8/10 times.
But oh well the numbers are the numbers nothing you can do.

Talk about irony: According to news here in germany, It appears Chile had gone to a sports court about about the eligibility of a bolivian player who played against them. They had their 0-0 draw overturned into a 3-0 win. However, as a consequence peru also had a 0-2 loss to bolivia turned into a 3-0 win. With the original results, chile would be 5th (qualified for playoffs) and peru 6th (eliminated), while now it is the other way around.

I have no idea how competitive CONCACAF is. Would England make it to the World Cup if they were in that group? It's easy to laugh at the US's misfortune but maybe it's a lot tougher than it looks.

Iceland with a population of 300k people qualified for the world cup in the probably hardest UEFA qualification group.
Every country that has not qualified can only blame themselves and has to ask themselves if they really tried their hardest.

Yeah the Netherlands in a nut shell for example. Second spot should have been wrapped up for them if they played like they did last night every game in that group! They were very very good against Sweden last night but that was the only game of the whole group they turned up for it seemed.

They played awesome and got great results since they changed the coach after the eurocup.
